Segway Boss Goes Off a Cliff

Posted by Dave Blount at September 27, 2010 12:52 PM

It turns out Segways aren't just goofy but also dangerous, as the company's boss found out the hard way:

The millionaire boss of the U.K.-owned company Segway died when he rode one of the firm's two-wheeled scooters over a cliff near his home in northern England, police confirmed Monday.
James William Heselden, 62, from Thrope Arch, died about 11:40am local time Sunday when he rode one of the Segway scooters off a cliff and into the River Wharfe in West Yorkshire, northern England.

Next, whoever is responsible for those idiotic Smart cars will suffer a similar fate by crashing his vehicle into an empty grocery cart and getting crushed to a pulp.

Maybe not the future of transportation after all.

On tips from Wiggins and Ummah Gummah.
