One Third of San Francisco Employees Make Six Figures

As our liberal rulers spend us $trillions upon $trillions into debt, eradicating any hope that the next generation will live as well, you have to wonder — where does all the money go? San Franfreakshow offers a clue:

More than 1 in 3 of San Francisco's nearly 27,000 city workers earned $100,000 or more last year — a number that has been growing steadily for the past decade.
The number of city workers paid at least $100,000 in base salary totaled 6,449 last year. When such extras as overtime are included, the number jumped to 9,487 workers, nearly eight times the number from a decade ago. And that calculation doesn't include the cost of often-generous city benefits such as health care and pensions.

The exorbitant pay is due to "generous contracts in a city known for its politically potent unions" and the fact that the socialists writing the checks aren't spending their own money.

Fortunately it doesn't matter that public sector employees aren't famous for working very hard, because many of their jobs are extraneous anyway. How many real jobs does it take to support the Louis XVI lifestyle of one useless bureaucrat? We'll find out as liberal policies continue to cause real jobs to dry up, eroding the tax base so that bureauweenies are reduced to paying themselves their stratospheric salaries with increasingly worthless money.

Useless bureauweenies soaking up our money.
