Moonbat Congressman: "We Can't Build Nukes Because Manbearpig Will Destroy Them!"

Posted by Gregory of Yardale at March 17, 2010 6:10 AM

Moonbat Democrat Congresman Ed Markey (who co-authored, with Henry "Nostrilitis" Waxman, the Cap-and-Tax Bill designed to destroy all American industry) says that nuclear power plants are not a viable option because the fierce weather conditions brought by Global Warming --- as seen in the scientific documentaries The Day After Tomorrow and Jason X --- will destroy them and kill us all!

Severe weather conditions, such as tornadoes and hurricanes, as well as flooding caused by heavy rains, can all impact the status of a nuclear reactor. . . . In addition to discrete events such as a storm or earthquake, climate change has the potential to affect more routine reactor operations.

He goes on to cite the absurd scenarios of nuclear power plants being inundated by rising seas, or running out of water during Global Warming-caused droughts.

Let's review his Thesis in Graphic form.

Or something like that.

Aside from the fact that nuclear power plants are built to extremely resilient standards with multiple redundant safety systems, it's also worth mentiong the IPCC prediction was a load, and the data have recently been exposed as craptacular at best. And the head of the IPCC was trained as a railroad engineer, not a climate scientist.

Damn, we got some stupid people in Government.
