Stolen Valor

Captain Chinpubes below was spotted at a grand Victory party for Moonbat Houston Mayor Annise Parker. (How do I know she's a moonbat? She didn't kick his sorry ass out on the street immediately.)

Commander Salamander spots a number of completely undeserved service medals and citations.

  • Around the neck is the British Commander of the British Empire (CBE).
  • 2 Distinguished Service Cross
  • Air Medal
  • Flying Cross
  • 2 Silver Star
  • Bronze Star
  • Purple Heart
  • National Defense (too bad he didn't make it easy on us and forget this one)
  • Devices:
  • SAS crest
  • CIB w/ 2 stars
  • Master jump wings
  • Helo pilot badge
  • Air assault wings
  • Pathfinder

So, who is this creep? Well, let's just say, he's the kind of colorful character that the progressive left reveres much more than the men and women who wear the uniform with honor.

Michael Patrick McManus, Lieutenant Colonel, US Army, Retired

Capt. McManus came out of the closet as a gay man publicly on Saturday May 29, 1993 at a Memorial Weekend Requiem in San Francisco honoring the Unknown Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual Soldiers. McManus chose the San Francisco requiem event as the time to come out publicly because he "can no longer be a part of an organization that promotes and supports such blatant discrimination. It is time for people to realize that sexual orientation is a fundamental part of a person's identity, just as being Asian or African-American."

Bouhamer traces McManus's resume
and notes some inconsistencies. One commenter noting the lack of any Michael Patrick McManuses in the the directory of the Army Reserves. Another phony soldier, or just a self-aggranidizing drag queen? I can't say. But whether he ever was a soldier or not, his blatant disrespect for the uniform is inappropriate, to say the least.
