Want to See Something Really Scary?

Posted by Van Helsing at December 7, 2009 6:04 PM

Just click here.

Meanwhile, the terrifyingly powerful EPA just declared war on business in the name of harmless CO2 emissions, taking an early step toward consolidating totalitarian power over every aspect of our lives, as warned. My guess is unemployment will not be dropping as a result.

If you were running a business under a government run by socialist eco-zealots, would you take on the responsibility of any new hires unless absolutely necessary? Not if you realized that until we get adults back in the driver's seat, nothing good is going to happen to our economy.

On tips from Duke, AnonymoUS, AlphaOmega, Craig W, J, and SK.

The usual gaggle of liberal trolls will be by along shortly to tell us how this is no big deal, or how this is simply on par with regulations elsewhere, or such nonsense.

Meanwhile, as the trolls pat each others backs for a job well done, businessmen, from the captains of industry down to the local entrepreneur, will start nervously withholding capital from job creation, to prevent tying up capital in investments rendered unprofitable by bureaucratic meddling and big government tyranny.

Expect the trolls to tell us everything except the stunningly simple revelation that rational people will not invest their own money, be it $10,000 or $10,000,000, when the Moonbat Messiah openly plans to bankrupt industry.

This will drive up real unemployment. The liberals will need to ship more apparatchiks over to the BLS if they expect to keep fudging the statistics.

EPA officials should have their mouth, nose and butt crack sealed shut with superglue to prevent them from expelling poisonous CO2.

It could be my imagination, but it sure looks like the hardest hit areas are the swing states. Gonna be an interesting election year next year.

Also for open thread, thought this was an interesting little juxtaposition:

China uses its growing global stance...

China’s conduct on the world stage “has grown vastly more sophisticated,” said Center for American Progress President and CEO John Podesta at an event last Friday where CAP released a new report on China’s capacity and willingness to act responsibly in its new position as a global power.

...to do pretty much what you'd have expected

China's state press renewed calls Monday for developed nations to provide adequate funding to help poorer countries fight climate change, as crunch UN talks were set kick off in Copenhagen.

"It is obvious that the planet is everyone's, and although poor countries must bear responsibility, poor people must not pay a price... that exceeds their own abilities," the state-run Beijing News said in an editorial.

Calling for "fairness and justice", it repeated the developing world demands that rich nations help poor ones pay for the transition to cleaner economies.

Looks like some of the Dems are getting ready to jump ship on the Global warming hoax. Webb sees both the EPA and Obama attempting to act outside of their authority.

The EPA was created by the congress --it certainly be taken apart by it. 2010 can't come soon enough.

If Obama attempts to enter any kind of binding agreement not autorized by congress is it an impeachable offense?

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs...

This money would only enrich the corrupt dictators/government of these third world countries.

Even without this corruption I feel we owe the third world nothing. The "transition to a cleaner economy" is not what their problem is. The fact is that extreme poverty has always shown itself throughout the world's history. This was not caused by other countries thriving. The libs pretend to feel guilty and think that they will feel better if they waste other's wealth to "fix" the problem. If you feel that bad about these third world poverty stricken people give your own money to a charity of your choice. Do not impose your solutions on others. The best thing about giving at the personal level is you can dictate who gets your money and what cause it goes for.

The intent is to fold the USA into a "Global Communist Oligarchy" nothing less. More than that under an oligarchy, we will all be slaves.
