Obama Wins Nobel Peace Prize and Wins and Wins and...

Posted by The MaryHunter at October 9, 2009 5:15 PM

Video from ReasonTV, on a tip from a comment by Rob Banks.

In case you missed them, look for Moonbattery's other treatments of the Obama Nobel Prize here, here, and here.

-=-=-=-

Here's yet another take --

Trading tip: sell those Obama futures contracts NOW.

This Nobel prize was probably voted on fairly recently, despite the February nomination deadline. It telegraphs the deep concern of liberal European elitists that Obama's stock is falling, both internationally and domestically, and may not recover. The Nobel Committee feels it could, in Rush Limbaugh's words, toss a political grenade into Washington -- reason being, to hopefully prop up Obama at home.

The Nobel folk didn't want to have to hold back the prize a year or two, waiting to see if Obama actually accomplished a pull-out of Afghanistan, closure of Guantanamo, or unilaterally disarming our nukes. Elitists foreign and domestic saw ObamaCare crash, saw the Euro-tour stumbles, saw the economic farce that is porkulus, saw the bitch-slap on the Chicago olympics… and they fear Obama will continue to have one epic failure after another. They fear he will lose the House and/or Senate to the GOP in 2010 and ultimately be unable to force through his agenda, which is aimed at neutralizing the USA as a world superpower. This clearly political award was an attempt to interfere directly with American politics.

Oh yea, and of course it was a Thank You for his not being President Bush.

Comments

Is there anything he CAN'T do?

oh yeah, run a free country.

hmmmmmph!

OK here's an unfolding gag on ESPN..... go to this page and put Barack Obama as a write in for the Hiesman award .

Then spread it around

Posted by: Katya Kakhov at October 9, 2009 7:17 PM

True international greatness. His list of accomplishments reads like a blank page.

I am sure there were none among the other 204 nominees who could count the number of empty speeches given by this President. Some of them could only count a lifetime of promoting peace through action and effort.

We will look back on this grand day to commemorate the day that elevated empty rhetoric to a level beyond our wildest imagination. Praise be to Nobel... Dynamite!

The Europeans had better watch out what they wish for; without a strong U.S.A., the Russians and a resurgent Islam might smash it to smithereens.
But of course that is what some of the traitors want.
You are on your own now, Europe.
Good luck with that.

Militant Islam is already smashing Europe to smithereens.

The Nobel Committee were a little bit confused during the vote, they thought the were voting for the PUTZ PRIZE not he peace prize.

Believe it or not the Nobel Peace Prize is not the only award Obama has won. Photoshop Fun!

My thoughts exactly - this is absurd. I was pretty upset when I got up this morning and this was in the news.

The first thing out of my mouth was, "They didn't give Reagan one, not when he brought down the Soviet Union." Somehow, I think that counts greater toward the goal of a world without nuclear war/weapons...than does Obama's empty promises to talk every member into the nuclear club into surrendering all their enriched uranium and plutonium.

That in of itself is a pretty silly goal. Number one, the technology to make nuclear weapons already exists. The genie is out of the bottle. There's no going back.

Number two, it's been my position for some time that nuclear weapons have done more for peace than for war. Did anyone notice that the world was due for another massive conflict, around 1965 or so? Didn't have one, though. You will notice that since 1945, no country has gone to war with another country, in which both sides had nuclear weapons. Not even India and Pakistan.

We nearly had it with the Cuban Missile Crisis, but even then both sides understood what the consequences would be, and nothing happened.

But I digress. Yes, the Peace Prize is beyond silly. Even Obama's fans at work thought the whole thing was a little silly, especially when another conservative told them, that in order to receive the Nobel today, Obama would have had to been nominated after only 12 days in office.

The 2009 NOBEL FLEECE PRIZE

In what can only be described as a ‘carnival of events’, a stilted floppy-eared pickpocket is moving surreptitiously through an unwary crowd, fleecing them of their finances, their freedoms, and their futures, as they gaze awestruck at the soaring rhetoric, the spinning truth, the wild economic rollercoaster, and the clownish congressional house of horrors.

Will the kleptobamaniac be held to account, or will egomania, naivete’, and disdain prevail? May we have the envelope please........

I think BHO was a wonderful choice! Just like I was! After all, I killed lots and lots of little Jew-babies. BHO hates Jews, too! I predict he will let CART LOADS of Jew-babies die! The key to peace is killing all Jews. All Nazis and Communists know this!

And all of my little boys think so too! (What??!! You thought my 72 virgins HAD to be female??!!)

Yes, yes. BHO could win the American Super Bowl ALL BY HIMSELF if he wanted to. You Americans should worship him. He is a true prophet!

Silly americans.

BHO - he will be behind us soon (ouch! Note to self; buy American Vaseline). And he will kill MANY Jews. He will reduce America to america.

Sarah Palin stands ready to stump for the Republican gubernatorial candidates running in the two most closely watched campaigns in the country this fall, but neither seems to want her help.

Less than a month before voters go to the polls, it appears increasingly clear that the former Alaska governor, vice-presidential nominee and conservative favorite will not appear on behalf of either New Jersey’s Chris Christie or Virginia’s Bob McDonnell.

Your post make no sense, boy.

You could have typed 157 fewer words and just posted "Duh!"

And just for posterity; "dipshit" isn't hyphenated. 'Dipshit' is a compound word, originating in the US South, which is a descriptive word equal to 'fudgepacker', which is also a compound word.

Prove me wrong. :-)

The euro-libs who want to prop up the president of the world cannot comprehend that the American people are not composed of as many sheeple as they are. Only the true kool aid drinkers believe Obama should have been awarded this. To stand there and state that someone even deserves consideration for a Nobel Peace Prize after a dozen days in office is ludicrous. Now Obama can stand with such luminaries as the terrorist Yasser Arafat, his pal Jimmy "the Dhimmi" Carter, and Al "I want a piece of your wallet" Gore. To say the Nobel Peace Prize is no longer fulfilling its founder's mission is an extreme understatement.

Posted by: Bruce Pierce at October 10, 2009 4:32 AM

Well Nix, it would seem you're edu-ma-cated in the Berkeley style of schooling. So, it was "the collapse of the military industrial complex in the USSR is what brought down the wall"?

Yes, if only the evil capitalism hadn't messed up the wonderful system of communism/socialism, then Lenin-Stalin-Hitler-Mao-Min could have wonderfully spread its red-shine all across the globe!

I guess it had nothing to do with the abject failure of communism/socialism as an entire system. And how State-enforced atheism, deprivation of all freedoms, and a government-run economy were actually the right tools to even out all the injustices past, present, and with Der Dear Leaders' unending future 50 year plans.

Might I suggest you do a little more research into the truth. Have you ever read any Pascal or Newton or St. Francis or George Orwell or Tolkien or Shakespeare?

Communism/socialism has proven itself to be the biggest killer of the 20th Century, a hundred million killed or more, and yet, leftists think they'll be able to get it right if only they can get the right Der Dear Leader.

If you can't see the difference between a free-enterprise Republic and a Governmental tyranny, well, you've got a shitty future coming.

"You will reject health care costs coming down to an affordable level to what?"

We reject your premise that the bill currently before Congress will lower health care costs. If experience has taught us anything, it's that the more government gets involved in ANYTHING, the more expensive it becomes. And the monetary expense is not even the most troubling part of governmental involvement--it's the loss of personal freedom associated with the government calling the shots that really worries most thinking people (you would be excluded from that bunch, of course, Crow).

I was standing in Starbucks buying a pound of coffee and the barrista offered me a sample of the new instant coffee. I said no thanks, the ad which said the coffee even appealed to "people who yell at town hall meetings" was offensive to me. The woman standing next to me said "I'm an activist too." She said she was an environmental activist, animal rescue, and one other cause. I asked her about health care. She said she had two friends who were doctors who felt that everyone should be FORCED to have health insurance. I asked if she was willing to give up her freedom and privacy for this. She began to get angry, told me I was wrong and turned away. I thought about her causes and the one thing they have in common: they all seek to use the power of the government to FORCE the rest of us to do something we don't want to do. So much for "LIBERAL" activists. I wonder if they see the irony.

Numbskull, we were abashed that the President of the United States of America went hat in hand to grovel to some malodorous Europeans for something as trivial and inconsequential as the Olympics, and amused that he failed even at that.

Is there nothing beneath his dignity? (It's a rhetorical question.) How about lobbying for the American contestant in the Miss World contest?

The President ... wins the Nobel Peace Prize and you can't contain your anger...

We're not angry. We consider it hilarious!

The President ... gives thought to escalating war in Afghanistan and you call him weak.

Gives thought? Wow, he's willing to go that far?

I went out to the Nobel Prize site and learned that the names of the nominees for a given year cannot be revealed for 50 years. 50 YEARS! Does anyone else sense that there is some nefarious reason for this? Perhaps that the Nobel Peace Prize Committee doesn't want to be held accountable for their horrendous and laughable judgment?

Nice to see the right-wing unhinged, and actually rooting against it's own country while claiming they are patriots.

Lol. Are you forgetting it was the left that spent the last half a decade accusing America's president and armed forces of war crimes while they were fighting wars that ended up giving 50 million people in the Middle East the right to vote?

Or is thinking it's ridiculous that Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize a bigger deal than that?

The President lobbies for the Olympics, you cheer that he came up short,

Why was he lobbying for the Olympics instead of meeting with his Afghanistan commander? The right's schadenfreude at his Olympics FAIL is mostly due to the fact that he should have been doing his job (hint: the President's job is not lobbying the Olympic committee to hold the games in his home town.)
