Evidence Accrues That Bill Ayers Wrote Obama's Autobiography

Christopher Andersen's new bestseller Barack and Michelle: Portrait of an American Marriage provides more evidence that Chairman Zero's Dreams From My Father was ghostwritten by unrepentant communist terrorist Bill Ayers. Jack Cashill reports:

Relying on inside sources, quite possibly Michelle Obama herself, Andersen describes how Dreams came to be published — just as I had envisioned it in my articles on the authorship of Dreams. With the deadline pressing, Michelle recommended that Barack seek advice from "his friend and Hyde Park neighbor Bill Ayers."
To flesh out his family history, Obama had taped interviews with various family members. Andersen writes, "These oral histories, along with a partial manuscript and a truckload of notes, were given to Ayers." Andersen quotes a Hyde Park neighbor, "Everyone knew they were friends and that they worked on various projects together. It was no secret. Why would it be? People liked them both."
Andersen continues, "In the end, Ayers's contribution to Barack's Dreams From My Father would be significant — so much so that the book's language, oddly specific references, literary devices, and themes would bear a jarring similarity to Ayers's own writing."

Meanwhile, Chairman Zero asks us to believe that Ayers — in whose home Obama launched his political career and with whom he shared an office for years — is just some "guy who lives in my neighborhood."

Many will be enthused, actually encouraged, to learn that Ayers wrote BHO's auto-erotic tome. All the more reason to believe in BHO's bona fides as a true radical "freedom-fighter".

"Relying on inside sources, quite possibly Michelle Obama herself,"

If a celebrity author with unnamed sources says it's true, then it must be. I mean, what would he have to gain?

Is this what passes for skepticism? How can anyone trust anything you say if you're this uncritical of one side, but label every little move the other side does as Nazi-ism.

How can anyone find truth like that?

Anderson was on Fox yesterday. O lied about Ayers and Michelle taught him how to act black, how to talk to other blacks. He says Michelle was particularly tight with Rev.Wright. Interesting interview.

RE: Posted by: brs at September 24, 2009 9:54 AM

BRS focuses on the "celebrity author" aspect and conveniently avoids:

"....the book's language, oddly specific references, literary devices, and themes would bear a jarring similarity to Ayers's own writing."

Posted by: TonyD95B at September 24, 2009 10:00 AM

brs, anyone with any literary sense could tell that Ayers had a heavy hand in Obama's first manuscript. It had Ayers very distinctive voice all over it. Why is it so hard to believe BO used a ghost writer? It's not like he had a mountain of literary achievements before he published his book (but Ayers sure did).

Obambi's book Audacity of Hope was probably ghost written too. Transparent adminitration? We don't need no stikin' transparent administration!

Posted by: Graycat at September 24, 2009 10:23 AM

brs, do you get a good view of the pyramids while swimming in De Nile?

Posted by: V the K at September 24, 2009 10:24 AM

Your point is? obama is just a front monkey for the white monkeys who now have power over you so who is writing what means nothing now.

Posted by: Fred Dawes at September 24, 2009 11:26 AM

The monkey talk adds nothing to the discussion, Fred. This is a discussion about intellectual honesty, or lack thereof, not about poo flinging.

Posted by: Judith M. at September 24, 2009 11:43 AM

What's so interesting is that it punctures the myth of Obama's intellectualism (based largely on gushing reviews of The Audacity of Hope)and also points to the web of lies that cover his past. How hollow is a man whose autobiography is faked by someone else?

Without the glasses and less hair and you have LEXX LUTHOR

Posted by: SPURWING PLOVER at September 24, 2009 11:52 AM

It almost makes you feel sorry for Obama, doesn't it, Beef?

Ayers is wearing his favorite Cuba shirt in the photo to show solidarity for his heroes Che & Fidel.

I vote we save some trees and quit publishing books about the Obamas.

Every time I see that puke bucket ayers, I want to go to shitcago and blow his ass up. It would be poetic justice, not to mention well deserved.

How hollow is a man whose autobiography is faked by someone else?

Obama is a hologram, an animatronic spokesmodel on an E-ticket ride at Commie World.

Posted by: Jay Guevara at September 24, 2009 12:33 PM

It seems Comrade Zero probably couldn't even write a SEE SPOT RUN type of book...

Posted by: Fuzzlenutter at September 24, 2009 12:47 PM

"....the book's language, oddly specific references, literary devices, and themes would bear a jarring similarity to Ayers's own writing."

Ohhhh, these ARE proof. Except that they're not. thye're subject horse shit that can be used to say whatever you want.

Are you also into New Age BS? Becasue New Agers might be the only people dumb enough to accept stuff like this as evidence..

Posted by: brs at September 24, 2009 12:55 PM

"brs, do you get a good view of the pyramids while swimming in De Nile? "

Oh, OK now I believe.

Posted by: brs at September 24, 2009 12:56 PM

mmmmmmmmppph mmmmmppppphhhh mpppph

wait while I'll pull my head out of The Holy O's ass crack

Posted by: brs at September 24, 2009 1:00 PM

Nahhh, BS.

I criticisze Obama for the lack if transparency, especially when it comes to the FED and the bailouts, for pretty talk and little action on limiting exec power then overstepping his bounds, for having no strategy in Afganistan, etc. I can go on.

The difference is, my criticisms make sense, and I can criticize a Democrat for something other than not being liberal enough. None of you can say the same. The only time you can criticize a Repub is if he isn't conservative enough. Other than that, it's "Yeah, but the Democrats!".

For you guys, when Bush (or a Repub) did it it was OK, when Obama does it, it's Hitler and we need a Revolution. So I call horseshit.

Posted by: brs at September 24, 2009 1:15 PM

brs: I'm surprised at you. Andersen is a graduate of Berkeley. Berkeley! He was a senior at TIME for yonks. He wrote for the NY Times. I would have thought that with those creds he was your man. There are many many wandering around, arms flailing, eyes shut, muttering,"It does not compute"

But there is a way to settle everyone's spleen. It's simple. Let them deny it.

Posted by: Jim at September 24, 2009 1:31 PM

Jim:

Unlike what you're used to, I'm not some CC ideological simpleton.

Though around here, that does stick out.

Posted by: brs at September 24, 2009 1:59 PM

Actually, those things are not BS, brs. That is precisely how scholars attempt to determine authorship when it is uncertain. There are many unconscious patterns in writing. Habits that the writer doesn't think about when writing that are very difficult to transcend. For example, Obama's tendency to use "I" more than the average person. Does he consciously decide to make things "all about me"? No. He can't help it. It's how his mind works. It would take an act of will and concentration for him to stop doing it and he'd still probably slip back into his established patterns. Haven't you ever read something that wasn't signed and had a pretty good inkling of who wrote it because you recognized the style?

RE: Posted by: brs at September 24, 2009 12:55 PM

BrS embarasses himself yet again with, "Are you also into New Age BS? Becasue New Agers might be the only people dumb enough to accept stuff like this as evidence.."

Since you (like most liberals) aren't really into science, I'm not suprised you'd be baffled by a basic forensic technique like writing analysis.

Nothing New Age about it.

In fact, in it's most basic and intuitive form it's how we identify the "usual suspects" when one of our pet trolls here on Moonbattery pops up using another name. It can be as simple as a repeated catchphrase, unique sentence structure or punctuation.......but, hey - that's just nonsense, right?

It also scares the daylights out of Democrats like Joe Biden - it can help us identify who he's plagarizing from this week.

Do you "believe" in DNA and fingerprints? How about body language and lie detectors?

Just checking......

Posted by: TonyD95B at September 24, 2009 2:22 PM

Darnit you guys, making me give a pass (sorta) to BHO on this one.

Most celebrities who "wrote" their autobiography had someone else ghost-write it. It's pretty much just a given.

And that's why I don't read biographies, BHO's or anyone else's. All it is is self-marketing BS.

Posted by: Nunya at September 24, 2009 3:31 PM

brs (born really stupid?):

In a comparison between Ayer's 1997 A Kind and Just Parent and BO's 1995 Dreams From My Father there were 759 textual matches with 180 considered by the investigator to be B-Level or above.
B-level would be the same mistake made, in for example, a quote.

An A level would be a nearly-exact match, such as this found in both books:

Ayers writes of "sparkling" eyes, "shining" eyes, "laughing" eyes, "twinkling" eyes, eyes "like ice," and people who are "wide-eyed" and "dark-eyed."

Obama writes of "sparkling" eyes, "shining" eyes, "laughing" eyes, "twinkling" eyes, and uses the phrases "wide-eyed" and "dark-eyed."

Or this: both authors evoke images of a "boy" riding on the backs of a "water buffalo" and prodding the beast not just with sticks, but with "bamboo sticks."

Or this: Ayers and Obama each refer knowingly to a "bill of particulars." (A bill of particulars is a list of written statements made by a party to a court proceeding.)

In contrast, a control was done to Ayer's writing using a book with similar styles and themes written by an author with similar personal characteristics (yuck). The control yielded only 6 to 16 matches.

BO won't talk about Columbia, release his records or anything he wrote from Columbia, he won't release anything from his Harvard days, he refuses to request his original birth certificate and has thrown several colleagues under the bus after meek explanations about what were seemingly solid relationships.

Taken with the strong evidence that Ayers wrote Dreams, a reasonable person would conclude that BO is a liar.
