Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Deeds

This is painful to watch, if you're a moonbat. Demonrat Gubernatorial candidate Creigh Deeds whip-sawing back and forth between. "I won't raise taxes," and "I'll raise revenue any way I have to," in the space of a few seconds and eventually snapping at a female reporter.

You almost feel sorry for the guy, but then you remember, he's a Democrat. The two faces of Deeds expose an essential truth about liberals; they can't win elections outside of narrow blue nutjob ghettos in the big cities without lying their keisters off about their agenda.

This is a bit like Chairman Zero promising not to raise taxes on 95% of Americans, while generating massive deficits that will inevitably lead to massive tax increases. Chairman Zero claims he can pay for his health care plan with "savings and efficiency." But here he is in 2007 saying savings and efficiency were bullspit, and you would have to raise taxes to pay for health care.

To paraphrase Terry Pratchett, lying isn't something progressive politicians do, it's something they are. Call it progressive, call it liberal Democrat, call it socialist, call it moonbattery, it's all built on the lie that you can continuously and forever confiscate the earnings of the productive segment of society to pay off the unproductive segment society, and no harm will be done. When your entire political philosophy is based on a lie, all other lies come easily.

Maybe Mr. Deeds problem is being a relatively nice guy from a rural district, he hasn't learned to lie so effortlessly as left-wing political hustlers from the big city do.

Government raising revenue to pay for a program that they currently can't pay for.

Well, suh, that takes TAXES.

Actually this guy is almost as good a liar as the big O, the difference is there are real reporters asking real questions here. Too bad we don't get that from the White House Press Corp

Deeds winning the primary was actually worlds better than the alternative. Terry McAuliffe came in with the huge political machine, and ended up losing horribly. Now HE would've been a real snake. Virginia has voted for a governor opposite the party of the president for quite some time now, and, from most preliminary polls, there's no reason to suspect it will stop this year.

What's more, Deeds has endorsed the Obama race card:

I expect his campaign will now go down in flames.

Keep quibbling you smarmy a-hole.

Where are the trolls defending their liberal champions? Or do they come only when it's not spelled out how much of a crook they actually are? The Liberals are little more than roaches. First Burris running away, litterally from a reporter asking something as simple as the vote on ACORN (what was he told, anyway? Ignore the question and never answer anything at all costs, run away if possible?) and now this guy, who can't even get his lies straight in the same sentence? Kudos for the Liberals in the house for hugely lowering the dignity of their office. I'll bet a 20$ that within two years the Pelosi gang will travel in a clown car.

Contrarian_Libertarian I think you nailed it right on the spot. This interview we see here with a Liberal squirming is exactly what would happen if there were real reporters in the white house press corp. Obama wouldn't be able to finish a single sentence before proved wrong. Too bad what passes for press there are just a bunch of loving puppies happy to see their master.

"Too bad what passes for press there [the White House] are just a bunch of loving puppies happy to see their master."

Well said, Jay B. I can see the White House Press Corps now, rolling over on their backs and wagging their little tails, waiting for the One to scratch them on their bellies, so ecstatic they start peeing themselves when touched by His Enormity.

And Obama loves to toss them sticks too. "The healthcare reform won't cost us a dime!" Everyone applaudes with shiny eyes, oblivious to what's at stakes. Yet they wonder why they've become obsolete? Is there a connection between people losing interest in blatant lies and the press litterally worshipping the president? Remember that comment "Obama is like god"? Maybe the public isn't made of wretches who believe everything coming from the MSM?

He already did raise taxes - given that most smokers are low-income Democrats, he shot his own constituency first.

He looks like he's considering calling his critics "racists," but realizes that that's not gonna fly.
