Science Czar John Holdren's Eugenicist Idol Harrison Brown

Revelations just keep coming regarding Comrade Obama's Science Czar John Holdren. First we learned that he's an ecofascist opposed to free markets; then that he wanted to put sterilants in our drinking water; next that he doesn't regard babies as human until after they've been socialized. Now we discover that his role model is eugenicist Harrison Brown:

John Holdren, the Science Czar of the United States, has long expressed an intense admiration — one that bordered on hero-worship — of a man named Harrison Brown, a respected scientist from an earlier generation who spent his later years writing about overpopulation and ecological destruction. In fact, as Holdren has pointed out several times (including very recently), it was Harrison Brown's most famous book, The Challenge of Man's Future, which transformed the young Holdren's personal philosophy and which inspired him to later embark on a career in science and population policy which in many ways mirrored that of his idol Brown.
Holdren's regard for Brown was so high that in 1986 he edited and co-wrote an homage to Brown entitled Earth and the Human Future: Essays in Honor of Harrison Brown, in which Holdren showers Brown with accolades and unrestrained applause.

Like the famous progressives Margaret Sanger (founder of Planned Parenthood) and Adolf Hitler (murderer of 6 million Jews), Brown was a big proponent of eugenics. He called for "sterilizing the feeble-minded" and others regarded by the State as "unfit," so that undesirables could be "pruned from society." Brown's totalitarian worldview is the basis of Holdren's.

Quoting Holdren, from Earth and the Human Future: Essays in Honor of Harrison Brown:

Harrison Brown's most remarkable book, The Challenge of Man's Future, was published more than three decades ago. By the time I read it as a high school student a few years later, the book had been widely acclaimed. … The Challenge of Man's Future pulled these interests together for me in a way that transformed my thinking about the world and about the sort of career I wanted to pursue. I have always suspected that I am not the only member of my generation whose aspirations and subsequent career were changed by this book of Harrison Brown's. … As a demonstration of the power of (and necessity for) an interdisciplinary approach to global problems, the book was a tour de force. … Thirty years after Harrison Brown elaborated these positions, it remains difficult to improve on them as a coherent depiction of the perils and challenges we face. Brown's accomplishment in writing The Challenge of Man's Future, of course, was not simply the construction of this sweeping schema for understanding the human predicament; more remarkable was (and is) the combination of logic, thoroughness, clarity, and force with which he marshalled data and argumentation on every element of the problem and on their interconnections. It is a book, in short, that should have reshaped permanently the perceptions of all serious analysts.

Here's his idol Harrison Brown, from The Challenge of Man's Future:

The feeble-minded, the morons, the dull and backward, and the lower-than-average persons in our society are outbreeding the superior ones at the present time. … Is there anything that can be done to prevent the long-range degeneration of human stock? Unfortunately, at the present time there is little, other than to prevent breeding in persons who present glaring deficiencies clearly dangerous to society and which are known to be of a hereditary nature. Thus we could sterilize or in other ways discourage the mating of the feeble-minded. We could go further and systematically attempt to prune from society, by prohibiting them from breeding, persons suffering from serious inheritable forms of physical defects, such as congenital deafness, dumbness, blindness, or absence of limbs. … A broad eugenics program would have to be formulated which would aid in the establishment of policies that would encourage able and healthy persons to have several offspring and discourage the unfit from breeding at excessive rates.

Given the terrifying rate at which the current government has been expanding its power, and especially in light of its ongoing full-court press to seize control of the entire healthcare industry, a Science Czar who wants to revive the ideology of the Third Reich ought to jolt even a few liberals out of their Kool-Aid–induced stupor. Zombie has the full story.

Obama's Science Czar, one scary moonbat.

I don't quite understand why leftists call concerned citizens 'Nazis'. It's like Mengle accusing Anne Frank of Nazism. Bizzaro world.

He could get rid of all the feeble minded if he would just let capitalism run it's Darwinist course. But that would mean that the welfare receipients and social service gobblers from his side of the isle would be the ones to get snuffed out.

We saw what happened the last time someone tried to create a master race.
We must stop these monsters.

So now we're quivering in fear over yet another BO nut. Meanwhile Sotomayor is confirmed for the SCOTUS.

This is where the real damage can be done, yet the right has been all but silent. Think Affirmative Action for the last 40 years.
Having this racist moron ruling over us now provides a vehicle for nutcases to be decided legislatively that could put us closer to Holder's (shiver) reality.
Why are conservatives always closing the barn door after the fire gets out of control?
I can answer that: bc we elect tools like John McCain and allow guys like Tancredo, Allen and Gingrich to get squashed.

This whole thing from the meek confirmation of Ruth Bader Ginsburg to the slovenly Sotomayor, has been just a disgusting giveaway of the country's judicial integrity on the part of the republicans to try and appease some wretched democrat.
The only thing Sotomayor knows about the constitution is that her's can be satisfied by truck loads of fast food.

At least now we can all just happily focus on Nazis.

what we "wingnuts" fail to comprehend is that these people are "smarter" than us and therefore deserve to work their superior will's on us, us rubes are merely the materials which these "social scientists" use to fashion their utopias with, they cannot be bothered with our simple-minded objections. if our ruling class demands 7 million or so people should die for the greater good, who are we to complain?

Except for here at Moonbattery, an article I just saw in Human Events, and a briefish mention on Fox, this story is not widely known. Why can't this get traction? He's more than a "scary moonbat" Van. He's an evil despicable monster.

From the other side, isn't there at least some lefties who have a retarded little brother who he loves deeply who will speak the hell up?

Hopefully Mr. Holdren has refrained from procreating. He is obviously an inferior sub-species because of his poor eyesight. He is a drain on the collective with his having to use up precious resources to manufacture eyeglasses to correct his defective eyes that obviously were caused by his defective DNA. He also has a defective eye color, not blue, and defective hair pigmentation, not blond. The world would be much better off if he would just kill himself now so that there is no danger that such an obviously flawed collection of genetic traits will not be handed down.

>>policies that would encourage able and healthy persons to have several offspring and discourage the unfit from breeding at excessive rates

Discourage the unfit from breeding? The "fit" would be the "able and healthy" ones who work and pay taxes to keep the "unfit" in bondage with welfare and gov't programs. What would ACORN do then? Hey! Maybe we would have fewer O'Bigots in the world! Hmmm ....

Holdren, Harrison, Ehrlich, etc. get their ideas from Frances Galton and the Eugenics movement. The sterilants in the water is something they discussed in the 60's and 70's opening and Planned Parenthood Physicians such as Donald Minkler were promoting this idea. He got his cues from Planned Parenthood's founder and American Eugenics Society member, Margaret Sanger. She was an elitist who spoke to the Klan and in her autobiography she admitted receiving an additional dozen invites to speak with them . There has been an outstanding documentary recently released that shows proof of Planned Parenthood's eugenic connections and I encourage everyone to get a copy and watch it. It is called: Maafa21. You will see just how elitist and racist some of these proponents of Population Control really are. Check out Maafa21 here:

Let's think about this. The "superior" people support forced sterilisation, have an overwhelming arrogance bordering on megalomania and are willing to treat those not subscribing to their superiority like dogs in order to breed a "superior" race based on their own stock and ideas....

Sounds like the flaw with eugenics is that the self-proclaimed "superior" people aren't superior at all: they're just major, MAJOR assholes.

Silly scared little neocons! The liberals have been doing that with the American population for years.

Why, what do you think being pro-abortion, pro-homosexuality and anti-family are accomplishing to the genetic lines of the liberal minded?

The Democratic controlled US Government has stated that the debates are over, and if you want to debate on merit, you are a Nazi Terriorist.

The new message is “If you vote for Cap and Trade or for Nationalized Health Care, you will be voted out at your next election!”

I surprised its not DR ZINN or DR CHICAGO

Correction: Michelle Malkin is beating the drum, too. I cannot believe we have our own Josef Mengele on the WH staff.

Holdren looks like so many white liberal males I used to see in the Chicago neighborhoods of Hyde Park and South Shore in the 50's and 60's.

Never forget that the current President probably would have been eliminated in such a program as outlined by Holdren and Brown. His mother, having married someone who would be judged as inferior, and of dubious intellect, was clearly not one of the beautiful people who would propagate under this plan.

If such a plan were to come to pass in the US there would certainly be population control of the practitioners. It would be the result of widespread lead poisoning to the brain and other vulnerable body parts.
