Geithner: Auditing the Fed is a “line that we don’t want to cross”
James Corbett
The Corbett Report
In an interview released today by Digg and the Wall Street Journal, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner was pressured about the growing popular movement to Audit the Fed spearheaded by Texas Congressman Ron Paul. A visibly uncomfortable Geithner attempts to dismiss the question by stating “I’m sure people understand that you want to keep politics out of monetary policy.” When Geithner is again pressed on the issue, he makes the stunning assertion that conducting an audit of the Federal Reserve—something never before done in its 96 year history—is a “line that we don’t want to cross,” proclaiming that such a move would be “problematic for the country.” Watch the interview in the player below:

The Brothers Emanuel. Part One: Ezekiel–the Jewish Mengele

All successful, high achievers, all activists, all leftist ideologues in the Saul Alinsky mold, and all Chicago Democrats, the brothers Emanuel–Ezekiel, Rahm, and Ari–are easily the most politically influential trio in the history of America.

Rahm Emanuel may be the most visible as President Obama’s ruthless Chief of Staff but behind the scenes in his capacity as Obama’s “Deadly Doctor,” Ezekiel, an oncologist and “medical bioethicist,” also wields enormous power as the president’s Special Advisor for Health Policy.

Ari, the baby brother, a prominent Hollywood talent agent, is on the political periphery.

This band of brothers, all of whom studied ballet in their youth, spring from the marriage of Benjamin Emanuel and Marsha Smulevitz. Their father was an Israeli-born pediatrician and former member of Irgun, an Israeli terrorist organization, their mother the daughter of a radical union organizer.

Those nuts rarely fall far from those trees.

There’s no shortage of chutzpa in the Emanuel clan. It could also be termed Odyssian hubris or arrogance, as in, We know what’s best for you so just shut up, sit down, and keep your opinions to yourself!

According to Wikipedia and other sources, the family patriarch changed his surname from Auerbach and adopted Emanuel, meaning, God is with us. In Hebrew, Rahm means high or lofty, Ezekiel strength of God, Ari lion or eagle.

Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, “architect of Obamacare” who takes issue with the Hippocratic Oath, is remarkable in that his views on health care are eerily reminiscent of Hitler and the “Angel of Death,” Josef Mengele.

For a Jew, that actually exceeds remarkable and enters the realm of bizarre.

Last month, Rep. Ron Paul posted an article on his website on Zeke’s views on his health care architecture, including a video on Obamacare’s “depopulation policy:” . . .

I forget to add to the above the money quote.

"For the last 10 years, the NICE has led the world in assessing the cost-effectiveness of drugs. Similar bodies are now springing up in other countries as payers seek a rational way to decide whether pricey new drugs for cancer and other complex disorders are worth using."

Ted Kennedy, the “Liberal Lion” and the Murderer Is Dead

Lest we forget amidst all the mournful encomia over the death of Senator Edward Moore “Ted” Kennedy and the expected idolatrous obsequies to follow that the man murdered a young girl 40 years ago. He never, publically, admitted that murder.

I won’t prance about singing, “Ding, dong, the bastard’s dead, the bastard’s dead” as if he were the wicked warlock of Massachusetts. Nor will I scream in exultation over his passing as Blacks did over the exoneration of a murderer in California 15 years ago.

But, I do hope he fessed up to his God before he expired.

After a long and no doubt painful lingering and suffering from the effects of brain cancer, at age 77, Ted, Uncle Teddy to many, succumbed to that insidious disease Tuesday night at his home in Hyannisport, Massachusetts.

His family’s statement: http://bit.ly/6c82Z.

I know that any negative comments about someone who has just died would be grossly inappropriate. I come not to castigate him and his life but to bury him, hoping his funeral and burial are devoid of the circus atmosphere we all recently witnessed with another American icon.

Ted Kennedy was indeed an icon to his liberal constituents and supporters and he will be missed by them.

However, if we disregard and forget his various foibles, and crimes, we do not do justice to his memory. . . .

Oh look another idiot ball of string:

weren't you the same bunch of screwballs outraged that anyone could express "joy" at seeing the pathetic and idiotic Nancy Reagan kick the bucket?

Let's have a look at two records shall we:

Nancy Reagan

1. As Nancy Davis (Reagan), she was an actress in Hollywood in the 1940s and 1950s,
2. First Lady of California when her husband was Governor from 1967 to 1975.
3. She championed drug prevention causes by founding the "Just Say No" campaign.
4. Nancy remained active n politics, in support of stem-cell research.
5. Nancy directed a major renovation of several White House rooms
6. Nancy's style was favorably compared to that of previous First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy
7. Nancy served on the board of directors of the Screen Actors Guild for 10 years.

Michelle Obama:

1. Michelle and her Chicago crony friends Valerie Jarrett, David Axelrod, and Susan Sher participated in the University of Chicago Medical Center dumping scheme
2. She was meddling in the firing of the Americorps inspector general.
3. Michelle is no stranger to public scrutiny over her fashion decisions, including exposing her bare arms or wearing expensive sneakers to a soup kitchen.
4. Isn't proud of her country, quotes infamous Marxist organizer Saul Alinsky, thinks America is just downright mean?
5. Gee... There just isn't much more than corruption or dislike of America to go on plus she sure spends an awful lot of time jet setting off to shop in paris on taxpayer funded trips.

Gee it sure looks like "pathetic and idiotic" Nancy managed to stay out of legal trouble and not embarrass herself by dressing like a ghetto princess, badmouthing her country, insulting it's citizens and insulting the Queen of England.

Nancy ALSO made it on her own as an Actress before she Maried Ronald, SHE didn't need her husband to get her a job like Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton both Did!! It must REALLY suck to have such pitiful role models, Crooks like Michelle, Liars like Barry, and MURDERERS like Kenedy!

I love how you get all high and mighty,

Kinda like you are with "rights" to healthcare? Or "rights" for terrorists? or maybe imagined tourture or terrorists?

Yeah.... DO TELL US allllllll about being "high and mighty"

and pretend you have values when people criticize or mock the morons you all idolize

But wait??

Didn't you just claim.....

the true nature of your putrid hate and your real "values", or lack therof, comes so quickly and easily to the surface.

Right after you said:

the pathetic and idiotic Nancy Reagan
You people are sad.
Sad and scared little whiners.

SHAZAMM !!

Just to be clear... When a communist like you deamonizes someone, insults them, and mocks them it's all fine and dandy?

But if we make a comment about Kenedy who MURDERED Mary Jo Kopechne, it's a "lack of values" issue with you?

Oh I get it!!!

YOU VALUE MURDERERS....

I'm sorry I forgot that as a member of the communist party it's incumbant upon you to praise vile people like terrorists, murderers, liars, theives, and promote murder as a "family value" while you attempt to impose a draconian, Fascism inspired, economic suicide on those who are unfortunately FORCED to pay your way.

It must really be difficult knowing you're an intollerant racist bigot who hides behind the internet and just cant help but defeat your own ideas with your own professed ignorance about the world around you.

Go back to the cesspool you slithered out from, or the rock you hide under and keep praying for the liar you elected to pay your way before he ends up like EVERY other despot before him.

I wonder if Mary Jo Kopechne, after presenting her testimony, kicked Teddy in the balls when he arrived for his trial before God?

Had any conservative done what Teddy did to that poor girl, they would have been political toast. Teddy got away with it because he was a Kennedy - as a large segment of the population has this weird obsession with that family, treating them like British royalty.

While www.ytedk.com may be gone you should still be able to access all the details surrounding Teddys killing of Mary Jo via the Internet Archive. Kind of odd how the site vanished just months before Teddy kicked the bucket.

Cant say I feel anything about his death other than the Earths whale population has declined by 1 today.

Though I suspect more than just Mary Jo Kopechne will be waiting for him - millions of aborted babies will be screaming at him too.

William Donohue opined as follows:

“The same Ted Kennedy who once championed the rights of the unborn now champions the right of a doctor to jam a scissor into the skull of an infant who is 80-percent born. Sadly for him, history will look back at this era and recognize that he didn’t care enough about human beings to take responsibility for children from the very moment of conception.”

Question:

If socialized healthcare equals Nazism and socialism, where were you guys when Bush was forming a coalition in Iraq with Nazi countries like Austrailia and the UK? How could you POSSIBLY condone a coalition formed with Nazi socialists?

Do you think anyone actually believes that YOU believe that we're Nazi socialists now? OF course you don't, because if you honestly thought that, then you never would have condoned aliances with nations like the UK which, by your definition, are Nazi socialists.

If you'd been screaming about the UK being Nazis and socialists when we were making war coalitions with them, then maybe you'd have a thread of legitimacy.

But you didn't. So now all you look like are a bunch of pansies throwing tantrums because you lost.

Remember how they were all praising Denmark for the Mohammed cartoons a couple years back? Well, acccording to their rationale, Denmark is a commie, nazi state. So is England, Austrailia, Canada, Finland, Sweden, etc...etc...Strangely most of these nazi commie states outrank the US in every important quality of life category. Makes you think commie nazi states must know something you don't know.

And you're right. The right is a bunch of sore losing crybabies. Scared of everything and everyone. BOOOOO!!!! got ya!

Posted by: wingnutcracker at August 26, 2009 5:53 AM

Looks like Anonymous just picked up a talking point from DailyKos or somewhere. Although a tangent of argument that dumb could be an original, I somehow doubt it.

Yes, realpolitik dictates that the US must sometimes ally itself with countries that do wrong-headed, even despicable things. But I don't see any lefties out arguing that we should not trade with China because of their horrific human rights or environmental records. And the left is positively enamored of Cuba, which tortures (real torture, not water on the nose for thirty seconds) political prisoners and sends AIDS victims to concentration camps.

Let he who is without sin...

Interesting note that Anonny may not be aware of, Britain really does have a Death Panel. It's called, Orwellianly enough, NICE. It's job is to deny life-saving treatments to people if Her Majesty's Government determines their lives are not worth saving.

Here you go Otto, since you have been so patient. What class most of you have here, a man passes from a disease you may someday die from, and you would rather stay hung up on a tragic incident that took place 40 years ago. You would rather not mourn his passing by celebrating his victories such as the Economic Opportunity Act, the Immigration Act of 1965, Meals on Wheels Act, Alternative Minimum Tax, the Voting Rights Act, it was his efforts that led to women being able to compete in college sports. For the record,I had this conversation with liberals who mocked Reagan's death. Whether you hated his ideology or not, his passing is not a joke. He championed the American people through a series of tragedies, he was a warrior, and just because he is a liberal you can still honor the words you speak of... "moral values". Be adults people

Posted by: Ghost of Wellstone at August 26, 2009 6:00 AM

Believe me V- Denmark, Sweden, and Finland have much better, more effective democracies than the US. The overall education level, degree of happiness of citizens, access to quality healthcare and quality of life all surpass the US.

The Us does beat these NAzi countries in some categories: 1. Teenage Pregnancy..2. Abortion. 3. Children living in poverty. 4. Murder 5. Rape 6.violent crime. Oh yeah and in cost of healthcare as well!

But V, I doubt you've ever left your hometown, let alone travelled extensively in any other country. It's clear you are barely literate, so where do your opinions come from? Other then Fox "news"?

Posted by: V the K at August 26, 2009 6:19 AM

Adults my ass. Red Ted is DEAD! This makes me glad on moral grounds, because on moral grounds, well, he was a murderer. Yeah it happened forty years ago, so? There's absolutely no dispute that it did, and there's no statute of limitations, yet we've been subject to this asshole ever since. I can discern a difference between a career of betraying the Constitution vs "serving his country". He may in a drunken fit done a thing or two that weren't objectionable, but by and large just about everything about him was objectionable, personally and politically.

The best part, though, the very best part, is that within a few months we may well see the loss of that filibuster-proof majority, even before 2010. That's something to hope for, something to look forward to.

Posted by: Mr Evilwrench at August 26, 2009 6:27 AM

99% of the people mourning Ted's death are phonies. The only people who really mourn the death of a person and really feel a sense of loss are close relatives and friends.

Why is there not this kind of ourpouring of sadness when regular people die, firefighters, cops or American soldiers on the battlefield for that matter? Because people dont know them personally.

Ted to me was just another bobble head self serving power drunk politician with an ego the size of the Good Year Blimp and a body to match.

Given the fact that the last prez who reflected at least some of your views is one of the most widely internationally disliked American politicians of all time, AND the fact that you mostly just regurgitate FOX news talking points shouted at you by a group of drug addicts, alcoholics, mentally disturbed and sexual miscreants, AND that you've come forward as a Mormon, whose founder was one of the most notorious nut jobs of all time, and that the "faith" requires all kinds of bizarre, whacked out beliefs, I'd say you've been pretty well pegged.

I'll continue to hold my opinion of you as a complete and utter moron. Nothing's been shown to disprove that up to now.

The Obamacrats increased the estimate of their unsustainable deficits from $7 Trillion to $9 Trillion this week. (The Government is borrowing $5 Billion a day, BTW). But even the latest revision is a low-ball estimate. The WSJ thinks the real ten year deficit is made like $10.3 Billion. Even that may be low, The Concord Coalition estimates the real deficit could be as high as $14 Trillion.

Michelle, you are a vile hate filled moron....good luck to you.

I'll still wait patiently for you to DISPROVE anything I've written, which you cant, so THAT really just proves that YOU are actually the moron. You were the one who fell victim to your own idiocy not me.

On with the show... Anonymous idiocy X 2

Question:

If socialized healthcare equals Nazism and socialism, where were you guys when Bush was forming a coalition in Iraq with Nazi countries like Austrailia and the UK?

The United Kingdom is a Monarchy, with shared rule by the house of lords or parliament. The Britons moved to a more socialist structure after WW II to rebuild their battered country nitwit. Austrailia is a republic, similar in many ways to the United States. IDIOT!!

Neither of the two are theNational Socialist German Workers' Party or the N.A.Z.I. Party you uneducated fool. while they both have foolishly followed the path of socialism, the Nazi's were Fashist's with more similar ideals to Mousolini.

Considering that our Allies are the British and Austrailians, it's not unusual to work with them to achieve a common goal. Disarm a dictator, free an arab country, and hopefully to develop an ally there. Just working with someone does not mean that adoption of their government is needed you clueless moron.

"socialized healthcare" does not equal Nazism, it is a tenant of the government platform where the state controls medical decisions. It's painfully obvious that your use of "moron" to describe me is a pitiful attempt to deflect attention from your ouwn inadaquate mental ability.

How could you POSSIBLY condone a coalition formed with Nazi socialists?

Just asking this shows how utterly stupid YOU are! We alied with Russia during WW II to defeat Hitler. The Russians were communists!! We didn't dismiss our president and become russians then did we? NOPE!! We worked with them to achieve a common goal.

Do you think anyone actually believes that YOU believe that we're Nazi socialists now?

Odumbo is a marxist who is currently trying to bankrupt the nation and convert it from a constitutional republic to a dictatorship or some form of quasi socialist/ fashist state against the will of the American people. At this point we ACTUALLY ARE a fashist state by definition so it just proves how little you know once again. You really are to stupid to even comprehend anything more than simple platitudes from your idiot mesiaha.

OF course you don't

There is a MASSIVE difference in "belief" and "knowing" and as usuall we actually know whats going on while you just cling to foolish beliefs.

if you honestly thought that, then you never would have condoned aliances with nations like the UK which, by your definition, are Nazi socialists.

Please continue to prove how ignorant you are. As I stated the UK is not a NAZI country but your persistance in claiming it is just exemplifies your mental retardation.

If you'd been screaming about the UK being Nazis and socialists when we were making war coalitions with them, then maybe you'd have a thread of legitimacy.

I guess mentioning NATO and the Warsaw pact would be completely lost on someone as cluelss as you. You are just to ignorant to ever be capable of learning.

But you didn't. So now all you look like are a bunch of pansies throwing tantrums because you lost.

Actually YOU are losing, the American people are rising up to defeat communists like you. Knowing that soon you will lose control of congress, there is absolutely nothing you can do to stop it. A revolution is brewing and you can see the giant can of raid that will erradicate cockraoches like you!!

Here you go Otto, since you have been so patient.

Who's patient? I was expecting this from you, and you don't disappoint, drone.

What class most of you have here,

Aww, Goatse doesn't approve of us making fun of the drunken leftist career politician. Everybody stop now.

a man passes from a disease you may someday die from, and you would rather stay hung up on a tragic incident that took place 40 years ago.

By "incident," do you mean where Kennedy drove his car into the water, left a young woman to die while he contacted aides but didn't bother to report the incident to the police until the car was discovered the next morning? THAT incident?

You would rather not mourn his passing by celebrating his victories such as the Economic Opportunity Act,

The one that launched the "War on Poverty?" That one? Yeah, that's a great success.

the Immigration Act of 1965,

The act where Kennedy assured us that "our cities will not be flooded with a million immigrants annually." Or that "No immigrant visa will be issued to a person who is likely to become a public charge." Or that the Act "will not cause American workers to lose their jobs."

That act, Goatse?

Meals on Wheels Act,

Truly no one else could have done that.

Alternative Minimum Tax,

You expect us to CELEBRATE that? You truly are a stupid person.

the Voting Rights Act,

'Bout time you got to something useful he did.

it was his efforts that led to women being able to compete in college sports.

Yeah, that's a monumental list of accomplishments.

For the record,I had this conversation with liberals who mocked Reagan's death.

Oh, of course you did. It's not that I don't believe you, Goatse, it's just that... well... I don't believe you.

Whether you hated his ideology or not,

His, and yours.

his passing is not a joke.

Eh... honestly, I don't care that much. I'm enjoying the pompous posturing you lefties are engaged in, though.

He championed the American people through a series of tragedies,

He did no such thing. When will you understand that politicians don't champion anything except their own power?

he was a warrior,

He was a career politician, an elitist, and a sign of what's gone wrong with our republic when someone can coast for decades because he had a famous last name and two late brothers who were smarter and better people than he.

and just because he is a liberal

Leftist.

you can still honor the words you speak of...

Whatever. Someone dying does not automatically make them worthy of respect. I did not respect Kennedy in life, I see no reason to respect him in death.

"moral values". Be adults people

You first.

Let me play "Kriswell Predicts" for a moment, Goatse, and peer into the future. Obama and the other Dems are going to use Kennedy's death as a way to try and push through their bloated monstrosity of a health care plan. And Kennedy's funeral is going to be a circus, much like Wellstone's funeral was, with leftist politicos lashing out at the right and all those who are in the way of their plans. They're going to USE him to get their way. Just as you're using him to score a few "I'm better than you" points here. You don't give a shit about his death, so why should we?

Are you saying you want the US to be like a Scandinavian country? As in 95% white Catholics and Lutherans?

Posted by: Rob Banks at August 26, 2009 2:02 PM

Otto, let me ask, how did you act when President Reagan passed? Some on the left mocked it, such as all of you are here on Kennedy's passing? I berated them as well, to the point that I was criticized by my own ilk. Mocking the death of any accomplished politician accomplishes nothing other than showing how low and vile people of all political persuasions can be. Further, it was 1966 that Senator Kennedy spoke of Universal Health Care, so yes, name the final bill after him to honor his efforts. I encourage it. I see you folks here mock Paul Wellstone's death to take a jab at me, and now you are onto Ted Kennedy's death, but tell what was your reaction to the immature jabs taken at Reagan, Goldwater, Miller, Novak or Tony Snow? As far as your dissection, gimme a break, you have shown your vile contempt already.

Posted by: Ghost of Wellstone at August 26, 2009 2:11 PM

Showing disrespect for the dead is not on as a general proposition, quite apart from whether one agrees or disagrees with the deceased's politics.

Those criticizing Kennedy here - and I've not been one, up to this point - are reacting to his lack of character. Chappaquiddick was only one indication thereof; his arguably treasonous approaches to work with Moscow to undermine President Reagan's foreign policy are another.

There are failings and there are failings, we all have them, but those two whopping ones have a common theme: personal aggrandizement before honor, loyalty, and personal responsibility. It's difficult to respect anyone who fell down so badly on such important issues of character. (Contrast McCain, for example.) Such failings, coupled with sanctimonious preachings to us about the same issues, fuel antagonism toward Kennedy, and mark out his case as distinct from those of others who passed but who had comported themselves honorably.

Otto, let me ask, how did you act when President Reagan passed? Some on the left mocked it, such as all of you are here on Kennedy's passing? I berated them as well, to the point that I was criticized by my own ilk.

What part of "I don't believe you" don't you understand? You are a cookie-cutter leftist if I've ever seen one... I've never seen you take on another leftist on ANYTHING, and I'm to believe you stood up to the frothing partisans of your own side when Reagan died?

Not buying it for one moment.

Mocking the death of any accomplished politician accomplishes nothing other than showing how low and vile people of all political persuasions can be.

I believe that it is hypocritical to pretend to show respect that one does not feel. I didn't respect Kennedy when he was alive... why should I pretend to show respect now? It was the same when Michael Jackson died. He went from being a joke to a genius in only a few hours. It's as if we all had to pretend that he was a great man because he had died.

Ted Kennedy was a corrupt, drunken sot who stayed in the Senate because of his name and his vastly-more-talented brothers' legacy. If his name had been Ted Johnson he never would have been elected. Personally, I have no respect for anyone, be they R or D, who stays in office for decades.

Further, it was 1966 that Senator Kennedy spoke of Universal Health Care, so yes, name the final bill after him to honor his efforts.

When Nixon proposed universal health care in his first term, Kennedy was among those who defeated it. It was more important for him to play partisan games than actually do what he claimed he wanted.

Y'see, I understand what the game really is, and you don't. "Universal Health Care" isn't really about health care at all. It is about getting as many people as possible on the government dole, because people who are dependent on government can be relied on to keep politicians in power. Time and again we see this, yet simpering little statists like you never understand.

And you idiots will exploit Kennedy in the hopes of getting this ridiculous plan passed.

I encourage it.

No shock there.

I see you folks here mock Paul Wellstone's death to take a jab at me,

YOU chose the name "Ghost of Wellstone." Deal with it.

and now you are onto Ted Kennedy's death, but tell what was your reaction to the immature jabs taken at Reagan, Goldwater, Miller, Novak or Tony Snow? As far as your dissection, gimme a break, you have shown your vile contempt already.

Glad we understand each other, Goatse. I'm not into pretending respect for people I feel contempt for. You are, but that doesn't change your underlying feeling.

Time and again here you've shown "vile contempt," and now you want to pretend that you don't. And you demand that we behave according to your rules, when you don't really care in the first place. The reason I wrote my original comment was because I *KNEW* you would show up as soon as you learned of Kennedy's death, if only for the reason of getting in a few pompous moral jabs. If you truly cared about Kennedy's death, why would you want to come to a place like this where we viewed him with loathing? What did you think we were going to say?

Jim Treacher, Via Ace of Spades:

If they’re going to talk about Camelot, then we get to talk about The Lady in the Lake.

Posted by: Evil Otto at August 26, 2009 3:06 PM

Presumably, Ted Kennedy was not at all ashamed of his support for the IRA, or for communism, or for abortion, and he never expressed any real remorse over the death of 'the lady in the lake' (very clever).

That being the case, why is it beyond the pale to bring up those facts of his life?

Posted by: V the K at August 26, 2009 4:10 PM

VK, aside from audacious, isn't it a bit judgmental and presumptuous of you to defy historic facts and simply inject your version of Kennedy's mindset in order to promote your agenda? While mainstream America (and Republicans of any decent character) have set grievances aside for at least 1 day, you get drunk on the moonbattery/hannity/beck/etc kool aid.

Posted by: andy42302 at August 26, 2009 4:47 PM

Andy, not true. Leaving someone to die while you conspire with your aides to get your story straight is reprehensible. That is a historic fact.

I'm not going in for bashing Kennedy. His race is run, and for choice I'd let him be. But I won't countenance those making him out to be a hero, or an admirable figure, without rebuttal.

So let's just agree that Kennedy's death is a sad occasion for his family, and on a human level, for all of us, OK?

Posted by: Jay Guevara at August 26, 2009 4:56 PM

Jay, what's not true? How can you speak for VK? You guys seriously need to get your names straight or some protocol to take care of that.

From a historical perspective, your response is illogical. From your perspective, I'm sure it makes sense.

Posted by: andy42302 at August 26, 2009 5:04 PM

Gets drunk, takes Mary Jo out for a joyride, plummets into the lake, makes calls to aides (not long after), reports incident next morning, no conviction.

Open and shut case, eh andy?

Posted by: AmericanToTheCore at August 26, 2009 5:54 PM

Andy, the part that was untrue was the assertion that VtK was defying historical facts.

Kennedy did support the IRA, although apparently later recanted (a bit).

He did support abortion on demand.

He did offer (through John Tunney) to cooperate with the Soviet Union (Andropoov) to undermine American foreign policy (that of Reagan).

These are all historical facts. But let's not quibble over them. My point, at least, was that Kennedy's character was somewhere between grievously flawed and non-existent. Chappaquiddick and offering to cooperate with the Soviets are two signal cases in point. The other bits are policy disagreements (although supporting the IRA, a clearcut terrorist organization, is well into morality territory), which I agree with you don't need to be brought up.

Still, as mentioned above, I would let all of his sins pass unmentioned, if his supporters do not try to deify the man.
