Is It Still Too Soon?

It could never be too soon for a few harmless laughs:

I don't care what the liberals say. That's funny.

Did you notice that in the funeral procession there were several liquor delivery trucks.

Posted by: Eneils Bailey at August 28, 2009 10:09 AM

Not soon enough I say. Pretty funny. Apparently old Ted liked a good Chappaquiddick joke himself

Posted by: Jenn at August 28, 2009 10:23 AM

Did you notice the people shuffling past the casket, how immensely fat a lot of them are? Identity politics.

I don't begrudge the liquor delivery trucks. I'll be celebrating too, it's Friday!

The hearse carrying Uncle Teddy and driving off a bridge would be a most appropriate send-off to the Lyin' of the Senate.

So would the chance to "water" the flowers on TK's grave with a bottle of Chivas Regal by filtering it through your kidneys.

Did any of you landlubbers watch Joe Biden talking about Ted Kennedy? He referred to him as "kind of like an anchor". I kid you KNOT!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/8223176.stm

Hey Joey, you might want to avoid using nautical terms when describing your old pal.

Posted by: RICH at August 28, 2009 11:09 AM

I'm sure Mary Jo would refer to him as an anchor...if she could.

Posted by: Judith M. at August 28, 2009 12:06 PM

Have you seen this one?

What they should do is build the wind farm he was sooooo against and put his name on it...LOL.

Mary Jo Kopechne was unavailable for comment.

You not only make yourselves look like idiots, your disgusting cartoons lessen the woman's tragedy.

I hope you're ashamed of your disgusting barbie doll recreation, but likely you have no shame. I've never seen a trace of it on this site.

Posted by: Anonymous at August 28, 2009 2:14 PM

Real funny would have been if someone, from a high perch, pumped a couple FMJ's through the top of the hearse into the top portion of the coffin. Removing the top of his brainless pan.

Ted Kennedy is and was a pig.

Too bad his brothers died early. They were better men.

Posted by: Andrew at August 28, 2009 2:32 PM

He has finaly paied the price for chapaquedic and Mary Jo can rest in peace

Posted by: Spurwing Plover at August 28, 2009 2:35 PM

What I want to know is all along the procession i didn't see any black folks. I thought that he was their savior.

Posted by: Dave at August 28, 2009 2:44 PM

"your disgusting cartoons lessen the woman's tragedy."

One womans tragedy, is another mans crime.

So... what was more tragic: The fact that she died with no water in her lungs (asphyxiation), or that he got away with vehicular homicide?

Posted by: RICH at August 28, 2009 5:27 PM

Trust me, Mary Jo's tragedy could not be lessened by a mere cartoon, but you are correct, we are shameless, and we don't give a rat's pitoot what you think.

Posted by: Judith M. at August 28, 2009 7:45 PM

I am shamed. Shamed that Ted Kennedy was in such a powerful position in American Politics, and his bloviations was an embarrassment to many good constituents.

Goodbye Ted. And good riddance.

Posted by: Dwaine at August 29, 2009 12:44 AM

Maybe the "Dead Kennedys" will see a spike in popularity....they even did a couple of songs that were about Ted, such as "Too Drunk To F#ck", "I Fought The Law", and "California Uber Alles"

"Jello Biafra could not be reached for comment"....HA!

Posted by: TonyD95B at August 29, 2009 8:45 AM

Back in 1980 when Red Ted wanted to be President of the United States he was asked why he wanted to be President of the United States:

Hmm, Tony and you do actually know what California Uber Alles was about don't you? Maybe you ought to hear the cover by Disposable Heroes of Hip Hoprisy.Double standard, double standard...not surprising from a bunch of right-wing fucks.

Posted by: Ghost of Wellstone at August 29, 2009 12:44 PM

Ghost of Wellstone So mean of you, your genital warts must be acting up, ether that or your gay lover dumped you.

Anyway your comment was your normal inane, leftwing tripe.

Posted by: Red Star at August 29, 2009 4:20 PM

You not only make yourselves look like idiots, your disgusting cartoons lessen the woman's tragedy.

And... uh... who was responsible for that "tragedy?" Did she get hit by lightning?

You make yourself look like an idiot by defending the indefensible, a bloated disgusting drunken amoral turd. And those were his good qualities.

Posted by: Jay Guevara at August 29, 2009 7:04 PM

Hark! The whore speaks! Those of us who merely express our opinion without remuneration should defer.

Posted by: Jay Guevara at August 29, 2009 7:05 PM

Keep a good thought: maybe Wexelstein saved Kennedy a spot by the water cooler.

Posted by: Jay Guevara at August 29, 2009 7:06 PM

I was away from the TV all day.

Did the Dead Kennedys perform at the service?

Posted by: Oiao at August 29, 2009 8:22 PM

Your comments are an embarassment to Democracy. None of you has done anything FOR the country, only make smirky quips on this dumbass website. Hugh hugh-- "look at me, i made a sentence!" Look at yourselves and what you're writing. Have some decency to his family. You're not defenders that poor woman's legacy. Let it go.

Posted by: paget at August 29, 2009 9:35 PM

No, I have no decency for Ted Kennedy. He had no integrity or morals, which in the position of a Senator, is a travesty and an embarrassment to Democracy.

Posted by: Dwaine at August 30, 2009 12:42 AM

I like the picture on top. He's lucky he didn't get harpooned there on the beach.

Posted by: Rob Banks at August 30, 2009 3:29 AM

"He had no integrity or morals, which in the position of a Senator, is a travesty and an embarrassment to Democracy."

Ummm, take a look at the Pedophiles in the Republican Senate. Take a look at the bible beating, moral authoritarians who cheat on their wives and familys.

Just shut up about integrity and morals. Hypocrites.

Posted by: Paget at August 30, 2009 10:02 AM

They should have buried Kennedy at sea. It seems only right.

Posted by: Jay Guevara at August 30, 2009 10:27 AM

Ummm, take a look at the Pedophiles in the Republican Senate.

Such as ...?

...cheat on their wives and familys [sic].

You have the nerve to make vague, unsubstantiated allegations of infidelity among Republican Senators on a thread about Ted Kennedy, the acknowledged poster boy for such? Wow. You must have balls the size of coconuts.

Posted by: Jay Guevara at August 30, 2009 10:32 AM

I'm glad he's dead and don't apologize to anyone for it. His death is just 40+ years too late and he died WAY too easy.

Posted by: pitter43 at August 30, 2009 5:36 PM

Somebody should shove a wick in his arse. What with all the alcohol and lard in the carcass he could fuel his own "eternal flame".

I'm frankly disgusted that he will be buried in Arlington National Cemetery however. It is an insult to every American hero buried there that he will be interred in such hallowed ground. It will have to be declared a toxic waste dump now.
