Clunkers for Cash

Unlike Cash for Clunkers, Congress's corrupt Clunkers for Cash program runs through 2010. Let's be sure it isn't extended.

This is hilarious - especially the part about the F Troop shirt - reminds me of that goofy old sitcom. Did this guy emulate Professor Gates when cried racial profiling and created a distrubance. WIll Obama come out and say Officer Donato acted STUPIDLY?

"According to a police report, Sgt. Joseph Donato loudly told Fein: "Stand up, turn around and keep your hands where I can see them." Fein reacted by pushing Donato with one hand while turning around from the restaurant counter, police said.

Donato was knocked to the ground and hurt his right elbow, the report said. Donato grabbed Fein by his "F Troop, 9th Cavalry, Ft. Hood, Texas" sweatshirt, forced him to the ground and he and other officers handcuffed him, the report stated. Fein was not injured, police said.

The police report noted the officer was concerned about "a recent shooting at this pavilion" and that Fein's sweatshirt "did not seem weather-appropriate."

The picture reminds me of an old beater I saw on Saturday. It was a mid-seventies vintage Ford LTD four-door. Faded reddish paint. It was probably a pretty color at one time. The car's hood was the size of an aircraft carrier's flight deck. The back seat was chock full of the peoples' belongings and the back end sagged like Rosie O' Puke Bag's back end. The car chugged angrily as it cruised across the grocery store parking lot as it were to about to heave its last breath and appeared to have more miles on it than a weather satellite.

The engine might have been perhaps a 351 cubic inch but could have also been a 428 that Ford put in its land yachts back then. Who knows--maybe it was the only thing the people driving it called home, but it certainly qualified for a "clunker."

It was sort of sad and comical all at the same time.

Tod, yanno, approval rates and polls notwithstanding, I would not have hesitated to vote W a third time vs maximum leader zero. As fantastically far-fetched as Albore and especially Skerry were, post turtle obama was in no way a viable candidate, yet his koolaid drinking zombies considered him a winner. Unfortunately, between them and the people that wouldn't hold their noses but stayed home, here we are.

make it stop already! these guys have already caused enough trouble, and now we have to deal with what comes after "cash for clunkers". dont give us another mess to clean up later:

I agree with you, Evilwrench.

There is not enough room in the car pictured to put everybody who belongs there. We need a fleet of banged-up school buses. That's funny of Pelosi in the middle though.
