Storming the Castle, Part II

Another scene from RINO Rep. Mike Castle's rash decision to face his constituents after joining the Despicable Eight:

Chairman Zero might want to consider coming up with a satisfactory birth certificate, before the angry villagers avail themselves of torches and pitchforks. Condescendingly laughing it off isn't working — despite Press Secretary Robert Gibbs' gift for smirking:

Here's why the short form birth certificate won't do:

If Obama really was born in this country, he must be refusing to provide proper documentation out of sheer arrogance — unless he's afraid it would open the floodgates to further demands for information that might shed unwelcome light on his college years and radical activities in Chicago. So much for transparency.

On tips from KT and Edward. Hat tip: Gateway Pundit.

It's "Open Season" on RINOs in Delaware now....

Then again, Delaweenians kept electing Joe Biden.

Posted by: TonyD95B at July 21, 2009 11:22 PM

Even if there is anything to the birther controversy, I don't think it's advantageous to dwell on it. It's a distraction from fighting his truly horrific policies and makes it too easy for his worshipers to write off any opposition as coming from Crazy Town.

Posted by: V the K at July 22, 2009 3:38 AM

V the K
I must disagree with you about dwelling on Obama's place of birth. It is not a distraction, but a legal opportunity to kick this Kenyan fox out of the US hen-house.

It would be nice to toss this pretender in prison before he can finish the job of destroying the US from within.

Fact: No one would go to this much trouble and expense to hide their place of birth unless they are not a citizen.

Posted by: Lord Crimson at July 22, 2009 4:18 AM

I agree with Lord Crimson. They may be able to tar us with the crazy for a while, but we seem to be picking up converts, not them. If we can prove he's ineligible, not only could we get him kicked out, but I think there would be a good possibility that everything he has done and signed could be rescinded as well. We would be stuck with that moron Biden, but he would most likely be a relatively harmelss buffoon until 2012, rather than the laser-focussed malignancy we have.

Posted by: Mr Evilwrench at July 22, 2009 5:10 AM

Perhaps true, Lord Crimson, but I just don't think there's a smoking gun out there that's going to prove he wasn't born on American soil. If there ever was any proof he was born outside the USA, it was sterilized long ago.

And even if such proof surfaced, the line of succession ... Biden - Pelosi - Byrd, is not an improvement. And that's provided you could get the 60 Demonrat Senators to vote to impeach, which I don't they would do if Obama stood on the White House lawn sacrificing children into a bonfire of burning American flags (as long as he bought the appropriate carbon off-sets).

I am not saying lay off the citizenship issue entirely. I think it's quite possible he's hiding something, too; although I'm more suspicious about his college records than his birth certificate. Just don't get fanatical about it, don't let it eclipse the verifiable harm Obama is doing to the country through his policies.

Posted by: V the K at July 22, 2009 5:12 AM

I agree with you the birth certificate is just the proxy for hiding something else. Whatever "something else" is, it's probably not something completely damning, but wouldn't help him retain public support, either.

I also agree that the greater focus should be on the demonstrable harm of the policies he is advocating, and the legislation moving through the House and Senate at the moment. Fair comparison or not, I would suspect that that the "Obama's not a citizen" crowd is viewed as the complement to the "9/11 was an inside job" crowd. The opposition to Obama will almost certainly gain more ground working to point out the flaws in the healthcare reform, cap and trade, etc. It's not like ammo is in short supply on those issues, either.

Posted by: I'm A Lasagna Hog at July 22, 2009 5:38 AM

It's not doing anything asking his lackies any questions about his past, they don't know any more than the one asking. The proof has to be found before it can be generated (forgery) by him. It's too bad we don't have a scumbag in the Hawaii clerks office like the one in Ohio that exposed everything about Joe the plumber, and a news organization willing to dig up dirt like they do to Sarah. If there is a conspiracy, it isn't with people wanting to see irrefutable facts, it is with the people who hide facts that are conspirators. The only access will be by stealing the records from the "vault".

The point, however is quite moot. The first thing Obama did as the sworn in president was to sign Executive Order 13489. It gives him, or his family, the absolute right to seal all records of his life from public access, forever; unless ordered released by the supreme court.

Posted by: Eric at July 22, 2009 6:37 AM

Eric; That alone should have voided his presidency.
Oddly enough the transparency of this administration is that anyone of reasonable intelligence can see right through it.

Posted by: czuch at July 22, 2009 7:00 AM

The problem is we are up against the clock with Obama's socialist health care fiasco. We just don't have the luxury of passively waiting for a smoking gun to drop in our lap.

The only legal action is to shake multiple trees from multiple fronts if we expect anything larger to fall out. Obama's birth certificate is just one tree that should be hit with the force of a hurricane.

Posted by: Lord Crimson at July 22, 2009 7:02 AM

I don't necessarily agree with that, Lord Crimson. If proof came up tomorrow that Obama was not qualified, by birthright, to serve as president, I honestly don't think the Demonrats would remove him. Instead, that codicil of the Constitution would be called racist and "exclusionary," and Republicans would be tarred as racists as they are whenever they insist the laws of the land be followed.

And even if he could be removed, how thrilled would you be to have Plugs "Jobs is a three letter word" Biden running the country?

Things are turning around for the right. Republicans have a four point edge over Demonrats in the generic poll, Americans who support Obama on health care and economics are now a 40% minority according to Gallup and Rasmussen. I think it's ultimately more productive to push him on those issues. There is a place for raising doubts about his qualifications for office if stronger evidence can be developed, but at the moment, it's a sideshow.

And please note the respectful tone of my disagreement.

Posted by: V the K at July 22, 2009 7:10 AM

birth certificates list ethnicity and religion, being born of a white mother and muslim father it could describe him as a "caucasian muslim", this would be quite damaging to his supporters

Posted by: BAM at July 22, 2009 7:14 AM

V the K
You are a gentleman and a scholar. You do seem to be forgetting that it is possible to attack Obama on more than one issue at a time. In fact it is imperative if there is any hope of diverting him from his tunnel vision of transforming the US into a communist state.

Posted by: Lord Crimson at July 22, 2009 7:23 AM

Eric: "It's too bad we don't have a scumbag in the Hawaii clerks office like the one in Ohio that exposed everything about Joe the plumber".

Or, I might add, like the clerk in the Chicago court system who released Jack Ryan's divorce records, thus paving the way for the election of one Barack Obama to the U.S. Senate.

In terms of Obama's removal from office, I don't think it would matter if evidence were uncovered that proved he was born in Kenya, as the other two branches of government would not have the will to act on it. The democrat congress would be most likely to respond by introducing legislation to repeal the requirement for birth on U.S. soil. However, it would at last expose the negligence and dishonesty of the dominant media and would perhaps open the rest of Obama's closely guarded life history to some scrutiny.

The issue of BO's birth cert is important bc of his activities to sequester it. Exposing him as a non-verifiable citizen, while it may not result in impeachment, would render his presidency impotent for the next 3.5 years.
That alone is worth pursuing the issue.

Moreover, the actual reason why he doesn't have a long form is questionable...that merits investigation just as a matter of vetting in any case. John McCain was not given a pass on this.

BTW the last we heard was that two hospital officials in Hawaii stated for the record that they had seen his original birth certificate. The clip here now plays a different story.

Posted by: Anonymous at July 22, 2009 8:30 AM

The issue of BO's birth cert has become very important both because of the present as well as the historical record. (And bc of his activities to squash investigations into it.)
Since Nixon, the press has stood on an unwavering (for them) principle that citizens have the right to know about the past and present track record and machinations of our political candidates. Yet here we have an exception due to skin color.

The Panamanian-born John McCain was certainly not given a pass on this.

If BO were exposed as a non-citizen or at least a non-verifiable citizen, while it may not result in impeachment, such status would render his presidency impotent for the next 3.5 years.
That alone is worth pursuing the issue.

Moreover, the actual reason why he doesn't have a long form is questionable...that merits investigation just as a matter of pursuing the truth. This makes the issue bigger than BO. Its more about whether we as a nation want to adhere to laws posited by the Constitution, or are we ready to let the whole thing slide? (along with Sotomayor and half of the supreme court).

BTW the last we heard was that two hospital officials in Hawaii stated for the record that they had seen his original birth certificate. The clip here now presents a different story. This mess should be clarified one way or another and not by advocates (read MSM) for BO or any special interest group that shills for him. If BO doesn't have a long form, it should be duly acknowledged by his incompetent and unprincipled administration and the consequences should play out.

I dunno, part of me doesn't give a crap about this because nothing will come of it.

On the other hand, Obama & Company are going so apeshit to make this go away, when producing the document would be much easier and more effective, that I have to think there's something behind this. As they say, "where there's smoke there's fire." He could have doused it long ago instead of pouring gasoline on it.

Posted by: cowlove at July 22, 2009 10:46 AM

"The Raid on Honululu's Birth Certificate Vault" would make a great video game. To get to the Holy Grail (Obama's long form BC) you'd have to evade condescending press secretaries, butt-kissing media folk, ACORN thugs, etc. If only I knew how to program...

Posted by: Judith M. at July 22, 2009 11:41 AM

I agree with many of your points, and some of you probably have read my comments on various earlier posts on this site extensively about this issue. At first I too found the issue to be a diversion, much like V the K, that should not distract focus on attacking Obama's disasterous policy initiatives. I still agree that pointing out the horrendous consequences of Obama's policy initiatives is primary. However, the Cook incident, and the vehemency and willful and feigned ignorance of the troll opposition such as the Anonymous person who commented on the related posts on this site, to any direct response to why Obama hasn't produced the certified long-form, has caused the issue to rise in my radar of prominence that there really is something to this. However, it is something that we can only hope gets unearthed through the court system, as Eric correctly pointed out that the self-professed most transparent president ever's first act was to sign Executive Order 13489. That, in and of itself, shows that he has a lot of skeletons to hide, perhaps including his Kenyan birth. Moreover, reading over Cook's legal pleadings shows that he has the best chance to date to have a court (assuming he can get before an objective jurist and not a liberal half-wit) to order that the certified record, or a record of the lack thereof, be turned over. The issue is not moot on grounds of Cook's standing, even though Cook's deployment has been rescinded, because, as his attorney pointed out, it falls within a well established standing exception as capable of repetition, yet evading review, as any other soldier could object to deployment based upon question Obama's right to be commander and chief on the same grounds in the future. I wish Cook and his attorney the best in their quest for the truth.

If hard evidence ever surfaced reflecting that there is no original long-form on file the repurcussions would be enormous. (I assume that any further forgeries or photoshopped attempts at falsifying the long-form will be picked apart by the new media in similar fashion that the Certification of Birth provided by Obama and Daily Kos that Anonymous kept referring has been discredited.)

Here I have come to agree more with Anonymous. While I have thought about the distatefulness of trading Hussein for Plugs or Pelousy, if that were the case -- and I am not so sure about presidential succession or impeachment proceedings in such an unprecedented case. Nevertheless, exposing Obama as a non-natural born person, unqualified for the presidency, would be a discrete and irrefutable fact of his deception that would render his presidency impotent, and would cause such a backlash by the American people against the Democratic Party and liberals that they would be thrown out of power for generations. That is an admirable goal that makes it worthy of keeping up the drumbeat and supporting the judicial process for people like Cook and any process of transparency to force the truth to come out.

Posted by: ZMarshall at July 22, 2009 2:57 PM

Guess I should clarify in my last paragraph above that I mean I agree with the Anonymous who posted at 8:30 am above, not the insolent fool Anonymous commentator who has dodged every question on this issue.

V the K makes valid points. There's a lot to be said about choosing battles. What's interesting in this debunked charge is that a lot of the GOP's don't want to to engage in the battle but they don't want to defend its nonsense either. As long as they can keep the lunatic fringe out there spewing it, while minding their own business on the sidelines, the better for them. We saw this this week with Rep John Campbell and Chris Matthews as well as on Larry King with Elizabeth Cheney and James Carville. This is likely the best snake oil since "fight em there so we won't have to fight em here". Only, with this one you can just lay low as to not be accountable for the nonsense.

So, ZM, you want the majority of of our Government stymied? That's fucking patriotic! More and more people wind up without jobs or insurance...Fuck 'Em! Obama's a Kenyan! Social Security checks stop being delivered to our parents? Oh, fuck it! Where are Obama's documents?! What?! We got attacked? And we have held up everything over a document that has been verified, by the Republican Gov. of Hawaii, the local papers from 1961, the Hawaii Health Dept, the likes of both John McCain and Hillary Clinton, and numerous websites. Somehow, you probably believe that in 1961, the Doc who delivered him, Hillary Clinton, the State of Hawaii, local papers, said hey, this is gonna be news...let's get in on it now? You idiots!!!!!!!!
I thought the "Truthers" were bad, but it now appears "Obama's birth was an outside job!"

Posted by: Jack Reacher at July 22, 2009 7:17 PM

Andy, I read you loud and clear, you hope with all of your heart that this issue goes away as fast as possible because it scares you to death. Can't figure why it outlasted a 24-hour news cycle.

Kyle, Kyle, Kyle. You're not even as good as Anonymous at attempting to dodge the issue -- you got no proof to back up your rant and still can't address why your Messiah can't come up with the long-form birth certificate. Even your argument is incoherent, the Republican Governor of Hawaii has in no way verified as a true and accurate the Birth Certification that KOS and Obama have fronted. Care to provide a link to her sworn statement that she has seen the original and verified it???

Moreover, are you calling Obama's own black paternal granny, Sarah Obama, a liar - she says he was born in Kenya. Phillip Berg, a lifelong Democrat, has a recorded telephone call from Obama's paternal grandmother affirming she "was in the delivery room in Kenya when he was born Aug. 4, 1961.";

What is the matter with you Kyle?? Are you a racist, and can't trust the word of black folk like granny Obama???? Why would she lie and claim he was born in Kenya if it's not true????

A few months back, a birth certificate WAS posted on the internet which shows that Obama was born in Hawaii. Yet some say this birth certificate is a forgery and again, his grandmother states that she was present at the birth, in Kenya. So what is the truth?

As Col. Jessup said, YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH. One of the articles I cited explains a birth story that is much more plausible, given Obama's granny's statement about where he was born, is that Obama's mother Ann Dunham, flew to Kenya in 1961 with Obama's father to meet his family. According to some news reports, Ann Dunham, was not accepted well by her husband's family because she was white:
"Obama's family did not take to Stanley Ann Dunham Obama very well, because she was white, according to Sarah Obama. Shortly after she arrived in Kenya Stanley Ann decided to return to Hawaii because she later said, she did not like how Muslim men treated their wives in Kenya. However, because she was near term the airline would not let her fly until after the birth of her baby. Obama's grandmother said the baby—Barack Hussein Obama, Jr.—was born in Kenya and that shortly after he was born, Stanley Ann returned to Hawaii."

However, by the time she wanted to leave Kenya, it was during the late stages of her pregnancy. She was not able to board a plane because the airlines wouldn't allow women so close to birth to fly. It is instead believed, that Barack Hussein Obama was born in Kenya as his grandmother apparently stated. Then, after he was born, his mother returned with him to Hawaii where his birth was REGISTERED on or about August 8th, 1961, in the public records office in Hawaii.

There is also a discrepancy in what hospital Barack Hussein Obama was born in, even if he was born in Hawaii. Reports by his own sister in two separate interviews state that he was born at two different hospitals -- Kapiolani Hospital and Queens Hospital--in Honolulu.

The Times Herald even reports: "the senator's grandmother, brother and sister, who live in Kenya, believe they were present during Obama's birth in the African country." Here, the Times Herald uses the word that his family 'believe' he was born in Kenya (perhaps to avoid possible law suits by Obama's Truth Squad?).

All of this is directly from

That's the Israel National News reporting - why would they make this stuff up, after all, 75% of all Jews voted for Obama?

You mention, without proof, support from the likes of both John McCain and Hillary Clinton and numerous websites - Since when have those two been interested in the truth and haven't played politics, and I'm sure they agree with DailyKOS and HuffPo on this. I held my nose and voted for McClame, he's worse than Bush, but certainly preferable to Obama.

Local papers, boy, they always fact check.

You bet I would love it if the majority of THIS CURRENT government were stymied on their socialistic domestic agenda. That would be the best thing that could happen for America for the next 4 years. Your assumption that is non-patriotic makes as much sense as Plugs Biden's comment that those who don't like paying taxes are not patriotic. Your assumption that would mean social security checks would stop being mailed out is an equally ridiculous hyperbolic conclusion. Patriots would not like everything that our forefathers have worked for and created over the last 230 years dismantled by the Marxists who are currently in charge of the federal government.

As much as you would like to discredit the issue to avoid the truth, what is happening here is that the American people do catch on and are not as stupid as you would like them to be, and know when things are not adding up with the birth certificate and other Obama record secrecy.

Posted by: ZMarshall at July 22, 2009 10:58 PM

Anyone who thinks that future historians will not pursue the truth of this matter are as deluded as a liberal.

The BC mystery will eventually be solved and it should resolve now as a matter of satisfying the rule of Constitutional law.

Posted by: Fiiberal at July 23, 2009 11:30 AM

ZMarshal, it's always interesting how people here will "read me loud and clear" or a "let me get this straight", or maybe a "so what Andy is really saying" and then they proceed with whatever spin or defamation that they want to inject, as if to say "per Andy".

I'm saying that VK is correct that this is a moot issue. I'm also saying that as long as the extremist can keep this debunked nonsense alive, the more the GOP gains because it keeps reminding folks of Obama's African decent, his middle name, his interracial family and hopefully convincing people that "he ain't like us". But my main point is that top GOP figures are actually encouraging it by refusing to denounce it, even though they know better. Just like Liz Cheney, distancing herself from the farce last night(while refusing to deny it) on national Larry King Live while today saying Obama "has every right to be president" (mighty generous of her). Those unhinged enough to promote this are simply pavement fodder. Real class for the GOP!

On Oct 31, 2008 the AP released a statement from the State of Hawaii. It said:

Health Department Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino said Friday she and the registrar of vital statistics, Alvin Onaka, have personally verified that the health department holds Obama’s original birth certificate.

Fukino says that no state official, including Republican Gov. Linda Lingle, ever instructed that Obama’s certificate be handled differently.

She says state law bars release of a certified birth certificate to anyone who does not have a tangible interest.

On July 23, 2009 CNN's Lou Dobbs stated that CNN staff spoke with representatives of the State of Hawaii and CNN was told that the document was discarded 8 years ago as part of a change to electronic documents.

These statements cannot both be true.

If the first statement is true, authorize the release and examination of the birth certificate and the issue goes away, end of story. Fire the journalist at CNN that got the story wrong.

If the second statement is true then produce the electronic copy and fire the health department director for lying in October.

Either way, this is getting way too weird. As much as I do not want to believe it, is the President of the United States creating a constitutional crisis?
