Liz Cheney Tears Into MSNBC Moonbat on Interrogating Terrorists

MSNBC might want to think twice about putting a shallow propagandist like Norah O'Donnell up against a woman as sharp as Liz Cheney.

In O'Donnell's defense, it can't be easy to sell Americans on the idea that it would be better that thousands of us should die than that a terrorist should be made uncomfortable. But if she really believes her own leftist spin that waterboarding Khalid Sheikh Mohammed will lead to captured Americans being tortured who otherwise would have been treated like guests at a spa, maybe she ought to stop hyping the whole phony controversy. Even if it's only MSNBC, somebody besides moonbats might be watching.

Liz for President. I understand why her poor father would prefer to be out of politics, but she has got the fire in her. That's the kind of stuff we were hoping to see from Palin.

Liz Cheney said nearly everything that needed to be said right there. Shame the MSM will bury it - doesn't fit the template or the agenda.

One of Ms. Cheney's main points is that the word "Torture" is not a correct description for the interrogation techniques that were used, and that these measures were used for information gathering, not as a form of punishment.

Being waterboarded under close supervision and with a doctor in attendance to insure no permanent harm is done is not torture - it's more humane than what a lot of the tolerant liberal frat boys used to do to each other when I was college age.

If they want to talk about torture, let's look at the techniques the Japanese and Germans used back in the day, or the North Koreans and North Vietnamese. For that matter, look at what the Religion Of Peace does to thier OWN people, not just to Nicholas Berg, Daniel Pearl, et al.

Norah O'Donnell is pathetic.

Liz Cheney ought to be number one on anyones list after seeing this. She was brilliant, and she managed not to lose her temper with the ignorant child O'Donnell.

I am deeply impressed.

I'm impressed too, boy

This Liz Cheney is dynamite- sure would like to see her in the next administration in some capacity.

Finally someone has managed to break through the media barricade and explain to those bozos that they are misrepresenting the facts! Kudos to Liz Cheney, she may be one of the best conservative apologists I've ever seen.

O'Donnell's voice is like nails on a chalkboard. Makes you wonder how she got her job..............

Posted by: LoneWolfArcher at April 28, 2009 5:38 AM

It's always a pleasure to view a contrast such as this. On the one hand, you have a member of the former administration calmly, and intelligently explaining what really happened and the common sense reasons for it, against a member of the lefty echo-chamber media, trying to run with a false assertion, because they just can't let their Bush Derangement Syndrome die out.

MSNBC is a constant embarrassment to this country, which is probably why they have virtually no audience apart from the hard core sufferer of moonbattery.

Insofar as Ms. O'Donnel's assertion about how this impacts the treatment of our prisoners by our enemies, perhaps Ms. O'Donnel's next contrast should be one explaining the difference between waterboarding and beheading with a dull knife.

Listening to O-BOMB-A tomorrow nite on TV would be TORTURE!

Moonbats would rather let Americans die than make a terrorist uncomfortable for ten minutes. Sickening.

Posted by: Steve at April 28, 2009 5:55 AM

That's very good. I wish more people would see this clip.

Air Force One tortured a few thousand people in NYC yesterday, my mother called me in a state of panic, Jesus, I thought she was going to have a heart attack, interestingly enough, it took the obama administration 6 hrs. to respond. gibbs looked like a deer caught in the headlights at the press conference yesterday when asked about it. What a bunch of clowns.

TYPICAL, ignore FACTS and concentrate on lie-ftist spin. O'Donnel didn't hear one word Liz said, she was too busy pushing hippy BS propaganda. Keeping the LIE alive. These sheeple should take their own advice and MOVE ON!

Posted by: hiram at April 28, 2009 9:20 AM

.......and she didn't even use a teleprompter. Quite impressive!

Posted by: JoeShmoe at April 28, 2009 9:51 AM

Liz Cheney was very impressive.

Thanks for this clip, which I wouldn't have seen otherwise. I recently canceled my cable subscription, citing their carrying CNN and MSNBC, whose shameful coverage of the tea party protests finally tore it for me.

HAND THE MSNBC PEACOCK OVER TO ME I AM FLU-BIRD AND IM HUNGRY FOR LIARS HYUK HYUK ,HYUK SQUAWK SQUAWK SQUAWK

Posted by: Flu-Bird at April 28, 2009 11:30 AM

Even if it *was* torture, how many American lives are liberals willing to sacrifice so that a single certifiable scumbag terrorist doesn't have to experience any of the pain that he is more than willing to inflict on others? 100? 1000? 1,000,000 lives?

With the next big attack, you can bet that the same liberals will be whining about how we didn't do enough, or didn't act on information we had, or planned the attack on ourselves.

What twisted f'ing minds they have.

Posted by: ent at April 28, 2009 1:29 PM

Paladin beat me to the PWNED!!!! comment. This is an example of the difference between conservatives and liberals. The liberals go for that quick 10 second sound bite or the pop-up screen, and the conservatives go for the explained, reasoned thought processes.

O'Donnell refused to acknowledge the fact that we use these techniques on our own people, and that lawyers and doctors were consulted as to how long they could go without crossing the line into torture.

Posted by: Smokey Behr at April 28, 2009 3:54 PM

That was by far the most entertaining eight and a half minutes of MSNBC I shall ever watch! And Liz Cheyney may just be my new hero(ine).

Posted by: ent at April 28, 2009 1:29 PM

ent, to quote a satirist at IMAO, "If torturing a terrorist would save five squirrels, I'd torture the terrorist and kill the squirrels myself."

We're talking about backwards idiots who have actually tortured and killed Americans. I'd much rather be waterboarded then have my head sawed off with a dull machete. Apparently liberals disagree, but that's to be expected. To paraphrase the same satirist, "I don't care if the CIA hooks a car battery up to their gonads because they're bored."
