Abortionists as Saints

If liberals don't succeed in totally suppressing Christianity, they can destroy it from within by subverting it. The Episcopal Divinity School has announced the appointment of a new president and dean, Katherine Hancock Ragsdale. Via Moleching It, here's a sample of Ms. Ragsdale's theological musings:

And when a woman becomes pregnant within a loving, supportive, respectful relationship; has every option open to her; decides she does not wish to bear a child; and has access to a safe, affordable abortion — there is not a tragedy in sight — only blessing. The ability to enjoy God's good gift of sexuality without compromising one's education, life's work, or ability to put to use God's gifts and call is simply blessing.
These are the two things I want you, please, to remember — abortion is a blessing and our work is not done. Let me hear you say it: abortion is a blessing and our work is not done. Abortion is a blessing and our work is not done. Abortion is a blessing and our work is not done.
I want to thank all of you who protect this blessing — who do this work every day: the health care providers, doctors, nurses, technicians, receptionists, who put your lives on the line to care for others (you are heroes — in my eyes, you are saints); the escorts and the activists; the lobbyists and the clinic defenders; all of you. You're engaged in holy work.

In the Church of Moonbat Depravity, killing your own child is a sacrament.

In other words, God wants us to kill people for the sake of personal convenience, and not let any consideration stand in the way of gratifying ourselves.

So according to this poser with the faux stained-glass stole, Christ would have made a wiser choice to kill us all rather than sacrifice Himself for our sake.

Nice theology...if you're Moloch.

This is sick. What a pervision of Christianity.

Posted by: Chad at April 3, 2009 7:57 AM

Are you kidding me? God is more concerned about your sexual pleasure than the life on an unborn child? "abortion is a blessing"? This woman is the devil. Without a doubt, she is the devil encouraging women to be irresponsible and kill their unborn children. She is the serpent and I'm not even a crazy religious person, but I believe that.

The only people who could believe this are those who are looking for an excuse.

Not to worry. She'll get hers in the end when she's aborted from Paradise so that the true Believers can enjoy God's good gift of eternity with Him. Then there will truly not be a tragedy in sight.

Posted by: jcebern at April 3, 2009 8:23 AM

Insidious. She's leading other's to commit grave sins. We have a very patient god.

Moonbattery is the best political blogsite in the world.

I'd like to know what book and verse in the Bible advocates abortion.

"ummm, ummm... it's in the back somewhere"

God has a special place ready for those who pervert His word.

It reminds me of an article I once read, which showed how modern day liberalism is beginning to resemble ancient Baal worship (Baal was one of the false idols mentioned in the Bible most frequently, worshipped by a lot of the pagan groups which oppressed the Jews).
Baal was a storm/ nature/ fertility god. His worshippers would engage in depraved public orgies as a way of worshipping him to supposedly ensure that he wouldn't bring down bad weather or natural disasters upon them. To further appease Baal, they frequently sacrificed babies on his altar, which proved to also be a convenient way for them to get rid of unwanted babies conceived at the orgies (After all, it would be millenia before safe sex was invented).
Modern liberalism also worships nature, through their devotion to spreading the myth of global warming. They, too, view sexual depravity as something to be encouraged. They, too, sacrifice their babies for their own convenience through abortion, and some abortion supporters claim doing so helps preserve the environment through controlling population.
So, modern liberals have more in common with ancient Baal worshippers than they'd like to admit.

Demons have stormed the churches en masse.

So Ragsdale would see nothing wrong with driving around in a pickup truck and potshooting anybody who looked inconvenient--it is just a matter of how old they are?

"Would you sleep with me for a million dollars?"

"Why yes." She said.

"How about for 3 dollars?"

"What do you think I am?" She demanded.

"We've already decided that. This is now about price."

EDS is quite obviously a heretical school, and Ms. Ragsdale is no theologian.

A preemptive strike from Catholic teaching is due now, before the heresies start to fly. Blame for an increase in abortions has been thrown against the Church for its dis-allowance of artificial contraception. Humanae Vitae and related Catholic teachings about sexual morality have been blamed for the world's problems and have been scoffed at since HV was promulgated in 1968. However, a closer, intellectually honest look at HV shows that, on every level, the Church has been vindicated.

The Church predicted several negative consequences as a result of a wide acceptance of artificial birth control, and all have come to pass. Predictably, the rates of abortions have increased, not because the Church will not permit contraception, but, paradoxically, precisely because the widespread use of artificial birth control has consequences that unwise people never see coming.

HV warned of several resulting trends following widespread artificial contraception: a general lowering of moral standards throughout society; a rise in infidelity; a lessening of respect for women by men; the coercive use of reproductive technologies by governments; a decrease in marriage, increases in divorce; negative effects on children; family breakdown; and an increase in abortion. Empirical evidence shows that all of the Church's predictions have been borne out, ironically, exactly opposite what the secular/scientific realm expected. The Church is vindicated. Contraception causes abortion.

Abortion and contraception provide people with a false freedom, and result in the opposite of what their proponents want, especially causing the dehumanization of women. At the heart of contraception and abortion is the idea that fertility is an infection which must be attacked and controlled. When fertility is defined as an infection to be attacked, so can a new life. Thus, the organic link between contraception and abortion is easy to connect. The defining element of a woman's identity -- her potential for bearing a new life -- is redefined as a weakness requiring vigilant distrust and treatment. We become the object of the tools we rely on to ensure our 'liberation' and when those tools fail us, we must keep creating more. Liberation or slavery?

Linking contraception to increased abortion is not difficult. Linking Ms. Ragsdale to her un-Christian teachings is also possible -- she (and so many others) have fallen away from and rejected twenty centuries of Catholic wisdom.

This is beyond sick.

Just wondering -- what about the women who suffer remorse, regret, and depression because of this "blessing?"

What about the women who abort because they want a baby boy instead of a baby girl? Is the baby that is chopped up and thrown away as medical waste "blessed?"

Does anybody wonder why the so-called "mainline churches" are losing members in DROVES?

Posted by: MST at April 3, 2009 10:10 AM

Genius. Ignore the part about the dead child and abortion is perfectly acceptable.

Posted by: GeronimoRumplestiltskin at April 3, 2009 10:15 AM

I read that with my jaw dropped. I'm speechless.

The bolt of lightning will melt that pulpit like a block of ice.

Posted by: czuch at April 3, 2009 12:38 PM

Does anybody wonder why the so-called "mainline churches" are losing members in DROVES?

No. The mainline churches, like Miss Ragsdale's Episcopal Church, have a message of "Go ahead and sin, just don't feel bad about it." Who needs a church for that?

Posted by: V the K at April 3, 2009 1:26 PM

The Episcopal Church has been apostate for some time. It now focuses on how depraved it can get and how many it can lead to Hell. Sadly, it is not alone. Most so-called "mainline denominations" are sick and reek with death. If you are truly a Christian, you will separate yourself from them.

I guess that God (or the Goddess) is now the Great Options Counselor In The Sky.

Posted by: MST at April 3, 2009 2:43 PM

This is why I left the ECUSA and converted to Catholicism.

Posted by: SK at April 3, 2009 2:55 PM

The Bible clearly warns against people who turn against the teachings of God in order to gain favor with the world. It's head-shaking that people can't see clearly that's what this woman is doing.

Posted by: V the K at April 3, 2009 3:17 PM

It looks like even the left has a need for faith, in a Satanic, perverse, self serving sort of way!

Bring back the Inquisition!

Posted by: General at April 3, 2009 3:27 PM

This woman is clearly a satanic freak - abortion is a blessing......to SATAN. Someone needs to abort HER, pronto.

Posted by: Lola at April 3, 2009 4:07 PM

stupid babies keep appearing inside the girls i enjoy the gift of sex with!! and the worst part is these babies are compromising my education!

The Cthulu reference is classic. Very oldschool and H.P. Lovecraft would have been proud and probably would have agreed.

Noticed at the http://www.eds.edu/ they have removed any e-mail contact information.

I called the school directly as well as the Presiding Bishop's office and expressed my displeasure.

There has already been one major schism in the ECUSA in recent history. After the election of a homosexual to the office of bishop, many churches and their congregations left the ECUSA (myself included but I left the church entirely) and are now under another Anglican authority that isn't perverse.

With this sort of nonsense, there will likely be another major schism in the ECUSA in the next decade.

"Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent." Rev. 2:5

Speaking to the churches. Sounds like God has removed His candlestick out of this church.

Another false cult under the control of Satan.

Posted by: Jim at April 5, 2009 5:21 PM

I'm pretty sure that God's about to strike down that church. He's just waiting for the right time.

Many of you may not be aware that this woman is a practicing lesbian, as well. It's how she first gained notoriety.
