Military Wary of Chairman Zero

Obama had better get started on that domestic army he's been planning. It looks like the real military is not drinking the Kool-Aid:

When asked how they feel about President-elect Barack Obama as commander in chief, six out of 10 active-duty service members say they are uncertain or pessimistic, according to a Military Times survey. …
"Being that the Marine Corps can be sent anywhere in the world with the snap of his fingers, nobody has confidence in this guy as commander in chief," said one lance corporal who asked not to be identified.

Obama hasn't generated much enthusiasm with his plans to prematurely withdraw from Iraq and to homosexualize the military with a repeal of "don't ask, don't tell," which will open the door to endless lawsuits. The military voted for McCain by a margin of 3 to 1.

One third of respondents were optimistic about Chairman Zero. In part this can be ascribed to the positive attitude that characterizes our military, but it is mainly due to our "post-racial" politics. Eight out of 10 blacks were optimistic.

This poll was from before he took office, so numbers are likely to be substantially lower now.

Better yet, use the UN building for target practice.

I know if I was IN right now I would be VERY interested in how long it would be before I got out!

HE is NOT the kind of Commander-and-Chief I would want to work for. He has shown MANY times already how much he cares about the Military! Which is just LEFT of "0".

Our troops deserve so much better in a CIC. There are at least two active-duty military who are actually questioning The Obaminator's legal status as CIC because of his unproven birth records. I can't find a link...

The Commissioning Oath

"I, _____ , having been appointed an officer in the (Service) of the United States, as indicated above in the grade of _____ do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign or domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservations or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office upon which I am about to enter; So help me God." (DA Form 71, 1 August 1959, for officers.)

The Enlistment Oath

"I, _____, do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God." (Title 10, US Code; Act of 5 May 1960 replacing the wording first adopted in 1789, with amendment effective 5 October 1962).

Please note that NOWHERE in either oaths does it even SUGGEST that unquestioning, blind obediance to the Federal government or any official is nessisary or demanded. Certainly, it says

"...I will obey the orders of the President of the United States..."

But it then goes on to say

"...according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice."

The solder swears to

"...support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same..."

For further clarification on this part, read the US Constitution (Amendment 10) and the opening paragraph in Declaration Of Independance.
