Double Feature

Sometimes news stories are two halves of a whole, and should be published as a pair.

Story One:

The new White House Web site puts the administration of President Barack Obama on record as favoring a "worldwide ban on weapons that interfere with military and commercial satellites."

This is consistent with liberal hostility toward "weaponizing space," which has motivated moonbats to oppose space-based antimissile defense systems since Reagan days.

Story Two:

Iran says it has launched its first domestically made satellite into orbit.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said the launch had been successful and that with it Iran had "officially achieved a presence in space". … A US state department official said the launch was of "great concern" and could lead to ballistic missile development. … France has also expressed concern, saying the technology used was "very similar" to that used in ballistic missiles.

Iran's terrorist mullahs have of course been hard at work building nuclear weapons for these missiles to deliver — and there are now no grownups in a position to slow them down.

When our cities are smoldering radioactive ruins, we'll know whom to thank for the Change.
