Authorities Enforce Immigration Law, Crappy Nappy Flabbergasted

When it comes to the sick joke of open borders moonbat Nappy Napolitano serving as head of Homeland Security, every day is a new punch line.

Immigrant rights groups blasted President Obama on Wednesday for breaking what they called his "personal commitment" to change Bush-era immigration raids after U.S. authorities raided an engine machine shop in Washington state and detained illegal immigrants.
The Obama administration itself seemed taken aback by the raid by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, with Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano vowing to Congress that she would "get to the bottom of this."
"The secretary is not happy and this is not her policy," a Homeland Security official said Wednesday evening, speaking on the condition of anonymity because the secretary's review is ongoing.

Authorities actually enforcing immigration law? Heads will roll!

If you thought W's border policy bordered on treasonous, wait until Chairman Zero starts the "immigration reform debate" as promised. Inundating the country with tens of millions of welfare dependents from the Third World is a crucial aspect of the Democrat strategy to impose permanent one-party socialist rule.

You say "wait until Chairman Zero starts the "immigration reform debate"...

What debate? Obama don't need no stinking debate. Debates are for freedom loving, gun toting, capitalist pigs ONLY.

Ever wonder what illegal immigration actually looks like in progress?

Take a look at videos from cameras hidden on the border.

The numbers are incredible - thousands a day. Yet we allow our politicians to ignore it.

We are in for a rude awakening as the ever increasing drug related violence moves north across the border. Don't think it won't come to your state.

Good Lord! The woman doesn't even know what her billet description is. And she is responsible for the "external threats" to this Nation. I wouldn't let her baby-sit my grandchildren.

The point is, raids are fun and highly visible, but the ICE can never do enough of them to get people to stop hiring illegals.

I thought you guys were pro-capitalists? It makes a lot of sense to a business owner to hire illegals at a lower rate.

What's the solution? Building a wall didn't work for China, and they built a far grander one then we could ever hope to. We could use the army to patrol the border, but you want the army off mucking about in other countries to defend us from a (statistically) far smaller problem.

A better way is to have a program that businesses can follow so that they can have the labor they need without having to violate federal law, and then smack down anyone who's not using that program.

By the time BO and the Dims get done, illegal immigration is going to flow the other way.

Hey Anon, you're smart not to put a name to a post like that.

Raids are "fun"? You come on down to what used to be my neighborhood, you asshole. It's a ghetto now, with all the "fun" things that go with it: crime, drugs, depressed property values, no building code enforcement and lots of illegals further decimating our country and draining our system.

Pro-capitalist? you bet I am. And I'm all for hammering...HARD...any company that hires illegals. $100k a DAY fine for EVERY illegal employed, plus manditory 6 months in jail PER ILLEGAL for the CEO, to run concurrently. None of this "get them stay, make them legal" crap. Enough is enough.

You don't think we could deport these guys? That has about as much basis in fact as Global Warming. You BET we could, and THAT'S why the left always spews the opposite.

Could we get along without them? We had a "Day Without A Mexican" here in California. BOY did that backfire. The roads were clear, emergency rooms were empty, restaurants still served food...basically, it was WONDERFUL. So, yes...Americans will do the jobs if Mexicans went home. May I be the first to buy one a bus ticket?

"Pro-capitalist? you bet I am. And I'm all for hammering...HARD...any company that hires illegals."

How do you reconcile the two? A pro-capitalist would say that businesses have the right to get cheap labor by any means possible.

"You don't think we could deport these guys?"

Nope! At least, not effectively. They'd just come back in. As long as the economic realities exist (need and availability of cheap labor), there's no way short of army border patrols to keep them out.

Mind you, I have a split opinion on this one. I'd be OK with a harder border (the country would be forced to admit people to keep up with labor needs eventually) or a worker program that got illegals registered and paying taxes. What I don't like is the making-laws-and-not-enforcing-them approach that is the current norm.

"A pro-capitalist would say that businesses have the right to get cheap labor by any means possible."
Not necessarily.
I'm pro- capitalist, yet I'd say businesses have the responsibility to use legal and ethical means in all their matters, including where they get their labor from. That means no hiring illegals, since doing so is a violation of both.

What no one (in power) seems to be able to address is, what is the physical and financial carrying capacity of the U.S. with regard to Mexico? That is, How many Mexicans can we absorb? 20 mil, 100 mil, 600 mil? And over what period of time?

The U.S., with the happy compliance of the Mexican government, a small fraction of businesses (the lib's straw men) and practically 100% of libs, are on the road to absorbing 99% of all Mexican citizens (and points south) along with their exponential birth rates.
There are parts of the U.S. (CA) that are, for all intents and purposes, Mexican territory; or at least technically, Mexican-American (but only by legislative jurisdiction) -that will never be reclaimed in any way culturally, as America.

So the larger question the Dims/Republicans/treasonousverminliberals should be asking is: How much of American soil should be acceded to Mexico? Give us an estimate in land mass and GDP.

If politicians ever had the (cajones) or honesty to answer this question, then they would in turn owe the American citizen a referendum on the inevitable give-away...for whatever that's worth.

How about eliminating all welfare whatsoever? Back to Jamestown principles - if you don't work, you don't eat.

That would simultaneously clean up inner cities and deal with any shortage of unskilled labor.

"How about eliminating all welfare whatsoever?"

Well, then you have a either a bunch of starving children or a bunch of kids running around unattended during the day while their mothers work, getting killed and joining gangs... Unless you want to help out with day care? No?

Welfare reform is both wise and necessary, but elimination is foolish unless you support radical social darwinism.

Posted by: Anonymous at February 27, 2009 12:09 AM

Anon @ 12:09:
Helping out with day care could be one thing some of those mothers could do for work. Working for a community day-care center, you know?

Jay mentioned Jamestown, and the "no-worka, no-eata" provision. This was the case because everyone was capable of (and expected to) contributing somehow to the survival of the colony. If one chose not to perform a function to help the colony, they were considered dead weight and therefore didn't deserve a share of what the rest of the community provided. There was NO WELFARE. If you chose not to contribute, it was "tough sh!t" instead.

Back to the day care idea- it may not pay great- it may not be glamourous- but it would pay wages in return for hours worked, and would supply a solution to a community problem.

It is possible to pass comprehensive immigration reform within Obama's first or second year Congress needs to realize that our economic woes are directly linked with our workforce, and our workforce is made up of immigrants (both legal and illegal). Obama has stated that America has nothing to fear from today’s immigrants.
Immigrants hope that in America, they will build better lives for their families. Like the many immigrants that came before them and the Hispanic Americans whose families have been here for generations, the recent arrival of Latino immigrants will enrich America.

The president also said that getting new immigration laws passed will be difficult. Because the U.S. economy is in worse shape than two and three years ago, when immigration bills failed in Congress, he said it would be even more difficult to pass immigration reform now.
