Al Franken: Yet Another Tax Cheat Democrat

If Al Franken's brazen bid to cheat his way into the Senate is blocked, he could always join the Obamination Administration. He has shown the appropriate contempt for paying the taxes Democrats are so eager to raise:

Overlooked in coverage of Tim Geithner's and Tom Daschle's unpaid taxes is the $70,000 that Minnesota Democratic senatorial candidate Al Franken has admitted to owing in back taxes, interest, and penalties.
Last April, the California Tax Franchise Board revealed that Franken owed the state $5,800 in taxes, fines, and penalties because he did not file returns in 2003 through 2007. Franken then admitted that he owed more than $50,000 in back taxes to 17 states.

Democrats stand resolutely not only for high taxes, but also for the working man. Given their characteristic hypocrisy, this is no surprise:

On top of failing to pay taxes in 17 states, the New York State Workers' Compensation Board hit Franken's corporation with a $25,000 penalty for failing to carry worker's compensation insurance for his employees in New York.

In light of tax cheats Daschle and Nancy Killefer going under the bus, maybe our Democrat rulers have pushed their arrogance as far as it can go. But if the corrupt, obnoxious, unelected, and outrageously unqualified Franken is actually seated in the Senate, we'll know there are no limits.

If they can seat this lowlife, anything goes.

On a tip from Wiggins.

Franken is no worse than the rest of the Democrats in the Senate. And that is a very violent curse. He is so bad, so biased, and such a lying scumbag that it seems only natural that Minnesota would send him to Washington to represent the true values of their state. They should take great pride every time he smirks his way up to the microphone on C-span and recites Harry Reid's latest talking points. Even Amy Klobuchar will look good in comparison.

If you really hate Minnesota for some reason, you should take great pleasure in watching them do this to themselves. Maybe it won't happen, but the Dems switched and buried a lot of votes so it would happen.

Posted by: SnowSnake at February 8, 2009 12:39 PM

I bet we could solve the deficit if the Dems would pay their taxes.

Posted by: Scaramouche at February 8, 2009 2:13 PM

Look, the Senate (and the house) is a club. Like all clubs, they only want to associate with those of like interests and proclivities. Also, clubs, in a bid to bypass complaints of discrimination, also have token members.
So, Franken is one of "like interests and proclivities". Republicans (not counting collins, snowe, and sphincter) are the tokens. This is nothing moer than true american values. Franken and the senate deserve each other. I shouldn't have included the big three under the republican banner, but "asshole party" isn't net an OFFICIAL designation.

whoops, YET an official party

Posted by: codekeyguy at February 8, 2009 2:20 PM

I'm sure something about this article is racist or harmful to children. damn you !!!!!!!

Posted by: Buffoon at February 8, 2009 2:24 PM

I thought Democrats loved taxes, and thought that paying them was patriotic.

I guess unless they're the ones paying them.

Once again, evidence that hypocrisy is the foundation of all liberal thought.

Posted by: J at February 8, 2009 2:30 PM

J, the Dems love for US to pay taxes. "Do as we say, not as we do."

I now honestly hope Franken gets seated. I keep saying it, but this moron will self destruct in record time, and in doing so give a HUGE black eye to the Dems that they must OWN, since they did everything in their power to get this scumbag in there.

This is called 2010 insurance.

Why get down on poor Frankie? Ya gotta hand it to him, he works very hard to make sure that his entire life reflects the Party tradition- self-worship, lying, obscenity, mental instability, hatred for all opposition...

3 Cheers for Al Franken, America's Big Fat Idiot!!!

Posted by: Toa at February 8, 2009 3:55 PM

And the whole tax evasion thing that seems to be in vogue with Democrats.

Posted by: Scaramouche at February 8, 2009 4:02 PM

I am no fan of Franken even though I am a progressive - but Franken is better than VH anyday!

Posted by: Lee at February 8, 2009 4:16 PM

Look - Franken is no prize - but compared to anyone in the GOP he rocks.

Radical right wingnuts - do everyone a favor and move to the deep south and then split from the rest of the USA. Thank you.

Posted by: Anonymous at February 8, 2009 4:25 PM

If THEY can seat him?? THEY happens to be the majority of people in MN.

VH - why do you hate democracy?

Oh - b/c you lost.

Posted by: Anonymous at February 8, 2009 4:29 PM

Taxes are for the little people to pay.

It's no surprise that the same people who begrudge us working people the money we have left over from taxes, and mean to leave us with less, somehow forget to pay taxes themselves.

Radical right wingnuts?

Now days the idea that people should be able to keep the money they earn and that we can spend our money better than the government, is now the radical idea.

Liberalism is the establishment, and I say down with the establishment.

"If THEY can seat him?? THEY happens to be the majority of people in MN."

"They" is not the people of MN. "They" is the canvassing board and probably the MN legislature or Supreme Court, given the legal circus that Franken is the ring leader of.

[Anonymous, Lee]

I see DINO is back.

Guess he got over his latest bout of Kaposi's sarcoma.

Posted by: SK at February 8, 2009 7:36 PM

Lee is a whole other brand of assmonkey, if I recall correctly... I think he's the enviro-kook who always chimes in on global warming threads.

Posted by: Anonymous at February 8, 2009 8:03 PM

I'm hope this will be investigated.

He needs to pay the tax properly and answer for any crimes he may be charged with.

If that process interferes with his senate seat, time will tell. I still want to know who got the most votes in that election, but again only time will tell it seems.

Posted by: fine ahht at February 8, 2009 8:39 PM

Hey where are all the "new" trolls? I know, with their head buried all the way up Al Franken's ass.

Posted by: Anonymous at February 8, 2009 10:02 PM

Spoke too soon. There's the "fine asshat".

The ASSHAT strikes again with some libtard wisdom!

Posted by: Anonymous at February 8, 2009 10:03 PM

Yes, Anonymous. Pearls of wisdom from someone who thinks it is completely fine to murder babies.

'Fine Asshat' should be his permanent user name.

Posted by: SK at February 8, 2009 10:10 PM

Franken obviously stole his seat, just like Christine Gregoire did.

I seem to remember it being unpatriotic and treasonous that Sarah Palin was supposed to have been associated with the Alaskan separatists -- secession is okay now that there isn't currently a politician involved in a Presidential election who you want to pin something on?

I'm a bit confused, just like how voter disenfranchisement was a bad thing in Florida but a good thing when it was helping Obama win the Dem nomination over Hillary ...

I guess this must be that "nuance" stuff you cerebral cognoscenti on the left are always telling us dumb hicks about..?

Anyhoo, as for secession from the asstards, socialists, welfare recipients, convicted felons and chronic victims who make up the Democratic voter base, there are plenty of people who think it would be a good idea already..

And you'd find out soon enough how screwed you'd be trying to run a utopian state without all the producers, and with your most significant tax bracket consisting of people like Al Franken and Tom Daschle.

mandible claw, the only problem with having a Moonbatistani third world country on our border would be that the mess in that crappy third world country tends to spill over into adjacent first world countries. It's happening in to the US from Mexico.

Posted by: Scaramouche at February 9, 2009 1:20 AM

Mandible Claw, I was thinking the same thing. Where are the successful auto factories? The South. Who has countless unemployed stockbrokers and the like wandering the streets? New York. Who would be stuck with the nation's ashtray, Detriot? Who has oil? Texas, Oklahoma, etc. Who has the best vacation beaches? Southeast. Make them take California, and you've (y'all) got yourselves a deal. We would have to deal with Scaramouche's concerns, but that should be workable, we have all the guns.

Posted by: Karin at February 9, 2009 6:54 AM

Liberals have no trouble seating an accused criminal. True, he has not yet been convicted, but he has not denyed the evidence and has admitted the accusation is correct.

PS MOONBATS:
The United States Of America is supposed to be a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC, not a "democracy". There is a diffrence, LEARN IT!

Posted by: KHarn at February 9, 2009 3:59 PM

We would have to deal with Scaramouche's concerns, but that should be workable, we have all the guns.

Posted by: Karin at February 9, 2009 6:54 AM

If the northern demographics took themselves out of voting contention you'd probably have a majority in favour of closed borders, to guard with those guns.

Still sounding like such a good idea, "Anonymous"?
