Moonbats: Christmas Causes Global Warming

Another Christmas has come and gone; let's hope the planet can recover. From Down Under:

Wasted food at Christmas time is now being highlighted as an environmental problem.
Jon Dee, the chairman of Do Something, says gases from leftover food rotting in landfill are 20 times more potent than the carbon pollution from car exhausts. …
"Australians waste more than 3 million tonnes of food every year and of course a lot of that food is wasted at Christmas," he said.

This isn't the only way Christmas oppresses the planet:

Scientists have warned that Christmas lights are bad for the planet due to huge electricity waste and urged people to get energy efficient festive bulbs.
CSIRO [Commonwealth Scientific & Industrial Research Organization] researchers said householders should know that each bulb turned on in the name of Christmas will increase emissions of greenhouse gases.

There's only room for one predominant religion. Thou shalt have no gods before neurotic enviroguilt.

The debate is over:

Co2 is a "pollutant". Co2 is "giving the planet a fever". We must eliminate the production of Co2 to "save the planet". Humans emit Co2.

Any more questions?

This is the same guilt trip that we were made to feel over money and material goods back in the 60's...only now foisted on everyone as science, and with far more draconian implications.

It wasn't until I read Atlas Shrugged that I woke up and realized "what the hell am I feeling guilty about?" The "looters" were the ones with the "money is bad, so you better give it to us for safe keeping" line, and they're back. They're brainwashing an entire two generations to believe this nonsense and agree to all the "changes" that will spell disaster for civilization.

Someone call out these fools publicly...and soon. (So far, this winter is doing a pretty good job of that. It's getting a wee bit hard to keep saying "colder MEANS hotter" and have anyone listen.)

Why is it so hard for people to figure out that climate isn't regulated by atmospheric CO2 concentration?

From the following link

Although there is a distinction between beer, wine and liquor as well as other lesser known alcoholic beverages, they share one thing in common. They are the fermentation products of yeasts. The reaction by which alcoholic beverages are produced is generally referred to as fermentation and may be summarized as:

Yeast + Glucose รจ Alcohol (Ethanol) + CO2

The Wineries, Breweries, and Distilleries better look out.

I always wondered why the grinch was green.

So, let's all just forget about celebrating Christmas, convert to Islam, live like animals in outdoor lean-to's, freeze to death (no wood fires, of course - Allah forbid!), and die, teeth rotting and body wracked by various infections, at 35, if we're lucky.

But, no, even that wouldn't make the Enviro-nazis happy; only the complete eradication of the human species would do that (even though they get to come along with us).

Anybody who listens to anything these nutballs have to say is a Fool, with a capital "F." Still a free country -- for just a little while longer, but get ready for CO2 as a "pollutant," and glorious "Cap & Trade" super-hoaxers, running rampant under the incoming Obamabi Kingdom (er, "administration").

More proof why enviromentalism is a deases cuased by stupididy and ignorance and all this GLOBAL WARMING poppycock bull crap from the mouths of a handful of crack-pot scientists and their bouts of outright stupdidy

Ah jeez, I cut down a tree for Christmas. That is one less tree scrubbing that bad Co2 out of the air and converting it to O2. So if we eliminate all Co2, what will the trees have to make O2?

plant more trees, me & ALGORE need the firewood to heat our houses.

This is such utter and complete BS. I think they should tar and feather Algore, first for pushing NAFTA and then for creating The Church of Global Warming and Alarmism.

I had 4 inches of globull warmth on my car this morning when I left for work today. I suppose if this continues I'll have to replace that heater core.
With disbelief in TUCSON ARIZONA
actually 10 miles east, could Vail Az. have anything to do with it????

Posted by: Spurwing Plover at December 27, 2008 8:54 AM

In my area (south Louisiana), we recycle Christmas trees. Some of them are turned into mulch. Some of them are brought to the coast and used for building up the coast line. You put your tree out on the curb on certain days of the week after Christmas, and they just pick them up for you.

Al Gore should be so proud of us!!
