Spitzer Walks

Apparently disgraced former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer still has friends in high places. Federal prosecutors will not file charges against him, despite his regular habit of arranging "for women to travel from one state to another state to engage in prostitution," as an investigation found. It hasn't been proven that the high-end hookers were paid with public money and/or campaign funds.

To quote US Attorney Michael Garcia:

In light of the policy of the Department of Justice with respect to prostitution offenses and the longstanding practice of this office, as well as Mr. Spitzer's acceptance of responsibility for his conduct, we have concluded that the public interest would not be further advanced by filing criminal charges in this matter.

…and to quote the guy who groomed our President Elect for political office:

Guilty as sin, free as a bird, it's a great country.

Get used to Democrats walking away from sordid crimes. Considering the cesspool Obama crawled out of in Chicago, we should be seeing a lot of it.

Maybe it's not too late to get back into government.

On a tip from Wiggins.

Spitzer looks like he is in dire need of a laxative in that picture. Not that it would help since sleazy left wing politicians are by definition full of shit.

"Get used to Democrats walking away from sordid crimes."

Hey, V.H., I've been used to that for a good many (at least 20+) years now.
