Moonbats Ready for Unity Now

Remember after Bush was reelected, how a bunch of long-faced moonbats posted pictures of themselves holding signs expressing their hatred of the President and irritatingly apologizing to the world for living in a country that would elect him? Now that their own candidate has won with a similar percentage of the popular vote, suddenly they believe in unity.

Have a bucket handy before visiting from52to48withlove. A few samples of what you'll find there:

Here's how it works: if a centrist wins, they throw a four-year perpetual tantrum, amplified by their control of the media. If a leftist wins, we all join hands and sing Kumbaya. The war's over, everything's settled, we're all progressives now.

Guess again, moonbats.

Hat tip: Caption This!

correction... they threw an 8 year tantrum, which will still probably go on until the meteor hits the earth in 2012 as the mayans predicted (tongue planted firmly in cheek about the meteor)

Posted by: metalgarth at November 10, 2008 8:03 AM

They're in for a rude awakening.

Posted by: Jaeson at November 10, 2008 8:03 AM

That's right, the Mayan calendar predicts that the world will end in the last year of Obama's presidency. Funny stuff.

Look through those pics and you'll see no apologies for "Bush is a War Criminal" "Rethuglicans" "Sarah Palin is a C---" and certainly no apologies for eight years of calling anyone who didn't agree with them a redneck, a hick, or a fascist.

And you can be damn sure none of those smug lefties would be calling for unity. When lefties lose 52-48, they vandalize buildings, block traffic, and physically assault their opponents.

"Unity" is leftist code for "Submission."

When Obama talks about being bi-partisan, its really "You will come around to my way of seeing things or I'll destroy whats left of your party".

Sort of like what Hugo Chavez has been up to.

I'm sorry world ...

I would like to get my apology to the world among the first. I apologize for the ignorant American people who voted this Obama travesty upon an unsuspecting world. I'm truly sorry, there weren't enough of us smart American people to save America and the world from the horror of Obamunism.

Posted by: bill-tb at November 10, 2008 8:21 AM

Yes ...and well before Bush was elected, Rush Limbaugh, Bill Oreily, etc., who then were national media rock stars, broadcast into so many homes or workplaces, were trying so hard to bring us all together and convince our free thinking, ditto head minds how we could all get along, that liberals were people like us... that "their" president was an OK guy. Then suddenly Bush (the ditto-head messiah) is elected and out of the blue, completely out of the blue, the lefties jump on him and behave like absolute meanies!!! Imagine that! I don't get it. I'm taking my toys and going home dammit.

The "unity" / "not a red America, not a blue America, just the United States of America" schtick is trite and tiring.

Anyone who disgrees with the Obama-borg is preventing unity and being disloyal?

Gotta give it to that Obama. He's done nothing in his life but writh autobiographies and run for President, but the son o' bitch knows how to work a message and manipulate people.

Unity is for communists. In the United States, we welcome and treasure competing, incompatible views, pursued vigorously through politics, with final compromise requiring deep gashing wounds on both sides. That is how smarter men than Obama and his media sycophants, such as Madison, wanted it. I don't want no stinkin' "unity". Unity is the sophomoric, naive goal of small minds. Real citizens have real beliefs and are unified only in times of dire, existential, external threat.

Posted by: mega at November 10, 2008 8:59 AM

Hey that guy in the middle picture should have that "one Nation" comment written on his midlle finger and printed in the other side of his finger? That would be the Obamunist thing to do. Oh yea and the smiling fruit holdings the bananas yes we are different. I don't eat bananas from people like you with that shitty grin an their face like that. Man those people give the creeps! Does that girl shave her pits? Hmmmmmmmm!

" I don't want no stinkin' "unity". Unity is the sophomoric, naive goal of small minds. Real citizens have real beliefs and are unified only in times of dire, existential, external threat."

...and its good thing there's plenty of open space and gated communities in for you to dis-unite your "real man" self in, at or to.... otherwise... sounds like hell to me... is that what your teaching your children? Yeee ha!

Posted by: doG at November 10, 2008 9:20 AM

I agree with mega. The only reason we are asking Conservatives to unite with us, is because we won this time. If McCain would have won, we would have been apoplectic for the duration of his term. What we have to do is the absolute best we can, and let the chips fall where they may. No matter what, after eight years, they gonna change again anyway. The good thing is that the "conservative" era is over...PEACE.

And more on how leftists act when they're on the losing end of 52-48.Protesters stomp cross in front of church. So classy.

Posted by: V the K at November 10, 2008 9:29 AM

It really is a pendulum. First they hate and despise because of some real and some imagined injuries. In the process of victory, the victors generate at least as much hatred and anger as they once felt.

Meanwhile, millions of people are quietly thinking that there will be some way to get even--to really hurt the present victors. And as time passes and the pendulum swings the time will come when they can and will. Then the victors become losers and again become haters full of anger and start to scheme how they can get even.

The cycle continues. How little the current victors seem to realize that by screaming, "Obama" in somebody's face and waving their middle finger, they absolutely guarantee the fruits of hatred that they will again some day harvest.

If the swings of the cycle get wider and wider and it gets out of control, a lot of people can die.

And to add comedy to the whole thing, some fools preach unity as they stroke the wheel and try to spin it faster.

Posted by: V the K at November 10, 2008 9:53 AM

Just think of how these people would have behaved if McCain had won. It'd be another 4 years of silly conspiracy theories, absurd "stolen election" documentaries, weeping for terrorist thugs, blaming the president for everything from hangnails to hurricanes, and hollow threats to move away to Australia or Canada. If even half the idiots threatening to leave the country actually did so, we really would have to apologize to the rest of the world for afflicting it with the bothersome ailment that is American Moonbattery.

Consensus is something that happens among friends; politics is a about winning. We lost, and submitting to unity will keep leftists in power for a generation. After the last 8 years, we owe them no pretense of deference and civility, only full bore defense of the liberties guaranteed under the Constitution starting on Day One.

Posted by: Beef at November 10, 2008 12:24 PM

These people (and I agree with you that it's silly) are expressing that before they felt that they had inspired the anger of the rest of the world, and made them fear us; and now we have chosen the President that the world wants. When they say "unity" they mean "with the world" not "with America." So before they were saying "Sorry world, I know you're disappointed with us" and now they are saying "Yay world, aren't you happy with us?"

I don't really see why this is even on you guys's radar. It is my understanding that you don't really care about what the rest of the world thinks. That is a fundamental ideological difference- Republicans tend to not care what the world thinks of them, Democrats do. So that is why these Democrats are happy that now we have elected a leader the rest of the world also likes.

Again I'm not saying these people aren't silly, I certainly find them to be so. Just in the context in which they are operating (global unity) I do not find them to be hypocritical.

Hi. We crapped all over your president for eight long years. Without hesitation. Without remorse. But now that our candidate will be president, we want everyone in the sandbox to get along and play nice.

You see, we have to get along. Because, in spite of the fact that our candidate is the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, and the MSM was completely and unabashedly in the tank for him, we only prevailed by a 4% margin over a doddering old man who could not even summon the support of the conservative base.

Don't look at me like that. You know I only want the best for us. Please don't hurt me.

Love and Unicorns,

Thanks, TED, for that well-researched crop of remidners of just how vicious and unhinged the Left has been this election cycle.
As I recall, also, the Left put together a stupid website of pictures, following the 2004 election, basically apologizing to the world for not being able to prevent the re-election of President Bush.
So, they can take their little signs, wad them up into a tight little ball and shove them

Posted by: ToddonCapeCod at November 10, 2008 8:47 PM

I think I know where the 52+48=1 thing comes from. It's essentially a rip-off of something you'll see occasionally in Irish pubs: A graffito reading "36+6=1", referring to 36 counties (Ireland) and 6 counties (Northern Ireland) being united into one country.

Generally scrawled by supporters of the IRA. You know, terrorists.

Posted by: hiram at November 11, 2008 12:55 AM

Hm so since the left now want unity, presumably that means they are admitting the right are not the racist, intolerant fascist christianist homophobe white-male-hegemonic colonialist imperialist nazis that we've been made out to be for the last eight years. I mean enlightened liberal leftists would never seek unity from such people, right? So hey, I guess thanks for the tacit admission that you lot were lying the entire time and trying your damndest to prove that that is what we on the right were when you knew damn well it wasn't true. Thanks for the tacit admission that that was all in the service of securing a political victory and nothing more. And thanks also for being so classy as to now just make like it never happened and to imply that we're the ones in the wrong if we don't immediately decide to unite with you and support what you want to do. Although it is somewhat gratifying to see you admit that without unity with us you will achieve precisely nothing on your own. It is a little odd that you would simply expect that it will be given, however, but in no way incongruous with your sense of entitlement. Oh, and hey, we managed to create democracy in a troubled nation and embark on the best economic run America had seen in a long while despite your best efforts to the contrary. And now you admit that you can't even achieve a single one of your aims without us doing the work for you, and think that writing a bunch of stuff on some bananas or on your hands is enough to heal the rift you've created? Wow, stay classy, leftists! And good luck with running the show because you will get nothing, I repeat NOTHING, out of your opposition except in initiatives that we would support on our own without you anyway.

Posted by: mandible claw at November 11, 2008 3:28 AM

Unity? Never! Go to hell Obomites! You will get nothing but resistance from me. Hey Bustoff why don't you go and fuck off!! Troll pig. I can't wait until the people see what's going to happen when 0 screws up. They got him put up so high that he has nothing left but to fall. Let the games begin!

Posted by: T at November 11, 2008 11:22 AM

Unity? -- my a**.

As another reader posted last week -- I believe in complete equality. So, for the duration of Obama's term, I intend to treat him the same way the moonbats treated Pres. Bush for the last eight years.

Posted by: Rich at November 11, 2008 11:37 AM

That 52+48 website is very creepy. Reminds me of the youtube video of children "Singing for Obama".

How can they seriously think we are ready to kiss and make up? Nice try. I personally can't/won't forget what they tried to do to Sarah Palin. Some of those liberal wingnuts need to be locked up for a couple of decades.

We'll just continue to point out stupidity where we find it, and to be sure, there will be plenty of opportunities with Obummer and the Biden gaffe machine.

Will biden please rescind the IMBRA law? I doubt it. The democrat party has a proud history of some of the most racist laws ever to be enacted in the US and has another proud history of having sucked up to the likes of the KKK. Republican posters of the day in the 1800s showed the democratic party sucking up to the klan, yet the republican party gets the blame by the moonbats for such.

What racist laws have the democrats supported.

IMBRA is the most recent law that basically says that third world women are stupid and prone to being abused by american men who are considered "violent" by the american left.

What about the past?

Anti-miscegenation laws where enacted by democrats and where the most draconian laws you could imagine. Even far surpassing that of what the nazis passed in the germany in the 1933s, but the democrats beat the nazis out by decades.

Don't believe me check this out:

Proposed Anti-Miscegenation Amendments

In 1871, Representative Andrew King (Democrat of Missouri) was the first politician in Congress to propose a constitutional amendment to make interracial marriage illegal nation-wide. King proposed this amendment because he feared that the Fourteenth Amendment, ratified in 1868 to give equal civil rights to the emancipated ex-slaves (the Freedmen) as part of the process of Reconstruction, would render laws against interracial marriage unconstitutional.

In December 1912 and January 1913, Representative Seaborn Roddenbery (Democrat of Georgia) again introduced a proposal in the United States House of Representatives to insert a prohibition of miscegenation into the US Constitution and thus create a nation-wide ban on interracial marriage. According to the wording of the proposed amendment, "Intermarriage between negros or persons of color and Caucasians... within the United States... is forever prohibited." Roddenbery's proposal was more severe because it defined the racial boundary between whites and "persons of color" by applying the one-drop rule. In his proposed amendment, anyone with "any trace of African or Negro blood" was banned from marrying a white spouse.

Roddenbery's proposed amendment was also a direct reaction to African American heavyweight champion Jack Johnson's marriages to white women, first to Etta Duryea and then to Lucille Cameron. In 1908, Johnson had become the first black boxing world champion, having beaten Tommy Burns. After his victory, the search was on for a white boxer, a "Great White Hope", to beat Johnson. Those hopes were dashed in 1912, when Johnson beat former world champion Jim Jeffries. This victory ignited race riots all over America as frustrated whites attacked celebrating African Americans [Rust and Rust, 1985, p.147]. Johnson's marriages to and affairs with white women further infuriated white Americans. In his speech introducing his bill before the United States Congress, Roddenbery compared the marriage of Johnson and Cameron to the enslavement of white women, and warned of future civil war that would ensue if interracial marriage was not made illegal nationwide:

"No brutality, no infamy, no degradation in all the years of southern slavery, possessed such villainious character and such atrocious qualities as the provision of the laws of Illinois, Massachusetts, and other states which allow the marriage of the negro, Jack Johnson, to a woman of Caucasian strain. [applause]. Gentleman, I offer this resolution ... that the States of the Union may have an opportunity to ratifty it. ... Intermarriage between whites and blacks is repulsive and averse to every sentiment of pure American spirit. It is abhorrent and repugnant to the very principles of Saxon government. It is subversive of social peace. It is destructive of moral supremacy, and ultimately this slavery of white women to black beasts will bring this nation a conflict as fatal as ever reddened the soil of Virginia or crimsoned the mountain paths of Pennsylvania. ... Let us uproot and exterminate now this debasing, ultra-demoralizing, un-American and inhuman leprosy"

Congressional Record, 62d. Congr., 3d. Sess., December 11, 1912, pp. 502-503.

Spurred on by Roddenbery's introduction of the anti-miscegenation amendment, politicians in many of the 19 states lacking anti-miscegenation laws proposed their enactment. However, Wyoming in 1913 was the only state lacking such a law that enacted one.[citation needed] Also in 1913, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, which had abolished its anti-miscegenation law in 1843, enacted a measure that prevented couples who could not marry in their home state from marrying in Massachusetts. In 1928, Senator Coleman Blease (Democrat of South Carolina) proposed an amendment that went beyond the previous ones because it required that Congress set a punishment for interracial couples attempting to get married and for people officiating an interracial marriage. This amendment was also never enacted.

Enjoy liberals, all the sins of your parties fathers are now coming home to roost.

And Joe Biden's little part in passing the IMBRA law check here:

Oops, sorry Joe the mangina, we're not going to let up in the attacks on your party now. We won't until you and your democrat gangsters suffer complete and irreversible defeat.

Hey, so what did you want them to do, look the other way while Clinton was screwing around with Monica in the oval office?

Did Clinton's behavior deserve a Kum-Bay-Ya and snuggly-wugglies?

Cons raked Clinton over the coals (and rightly so) because the liberal media certainly was going to let Clinton off the hook. The media only diligently reported on it when there was no other recourse. Libs made it sound like this travesty wouldn't affect Clinton's job. Nice try- you libs couldn't even convince *yourselves* that was true let alone the rest of the world.

Then Bush got elected. Liberals decided that it was "payback time" from day 0, because Cons called Clinton out on his adultery. Sadly, it wasn't Bush's fault that Clinton screwed around and Conservatives called him on it.

And now you want a freakin' KUM BAY YA?

After 8 years of trashing a decent man (Bush) and defending the scoundrel Clinton for the previous 8, don't expect Conservatives to snuggle up to your dictator elect.

Bottom line, Clinton screwed up, Cons called him on it, Libs decided to get even by trashing a good man who even reached out to you liberals. (Bush) And now liberals want a freakin Kum Bay Ya.
