Now It's Racist to Notice That Obama Is a Socialist

By any reasonable definition of the term, Barack Obama is a socialist. He has adopted three father figures that served as mentors in the course of his life: Frank Marshall Davis, a member of the Soviet-financed Communist Party USA; Jeremiah Wright, a proponent of a race-based form of Marxism called Black Liberation Theology; and William Ayers, an unrepentant Maoist terrorist. So it should be no surprise that Obama's economy policy can be summed up by the term "smash and grab." He told ABC's Charles Gibson that he would raise capital gains taxes even if it hurt the economy so much that it would lower revenue, because the primary point of taxes is not to fund the government, but to inflict "fairness" on capitalists. He told Joe the Plumber that his dream of business ownership would have to be sacrificed so that The One could "spread the wealth around."

Since most Americans are aware that socialism is not only misguided but evil — a form of systemized theft that punishes work and initiative while rewarding sloth and dependency, reducing the productive to government slaves and everyone else to farm animals bred for their votes — the fact that Obama is a socialist stands among the most compelling reasons to resist the left-wing media's push to install him in power. So on behalf of that very media, Lewis Diuguid of the Kansas City Star has declared that drawing attention to Obama being a socialist is racist:

The "socialist" label that Sen. John McCain and his GOP presidential running mate Sarah Palin are trying to attach to Sen. Barack Obama actually has long and very ugly historical roots.
J. Edgar Hoover, director of the FBI from 1924 to 1972, used the term liberally to describe African Americans who spent their lives fighting for equality.

Here Diuguid actually gives as an example W.E.B. Du Bois, another member of the Communist Party who avidly supported the Soviet Union. Then he concludes:

McCain and Palin have simply reached back in history to use an old code word for black. It set whites apart from those deemed unAmerican and those who could not be trusted during the communism scare.
Shame on McCain and Palin.

For that matter, shame on anyone who resists Obamunism in any way. Counterrevolutionaries, I mean racists, must not be tolerated. If Obamunists take power, they won't be.

On tips from Byron, V the K, and NGWFJ.

"has long and very ugly historical roots." You need to embrace the left's view of American history. The only legacy of America is one that includes only oppression, greed, prejudice and hostility.

One of the reasons why the Depression lasted so long is that taxes were so high that many simply shut down their business and walked away. Technically you could tax all business at the end of 2008 at a rate of 100% and the government would have all its debts paid and be flush with cash. Only problem would be where would next years tax revenues come from?

The main reason the stock market keeps tanking is that investors know what the results of a socialists/marxist government in Washington will do to the stock prices of corporate America.

The Illiberal Left has it wrong, as usual. "Socialist" isn't an "code word" for Black. "Socialist" is a "code word" for "Criminal thug with a room temperature I.Q. and the morals of a glue-sniffing wombat". Skin color has nothing to do with it. Obama is a cheap crook who has been scamming the well intentioned Left in this country for the whole of his adult life. It is a sign of their complete detachment from objective reality that they are taken in by so complete an imposture. That he has any actual Political convictions, I seriously doubt .... but then I doubt that Stalin did either. If there was any way that he could be inflicted on the Left alone, I would be all for it.

As for electing him President, there are limits to my masochism.

I never thought in a million years that I wish Hillary Clinton has won the Democratic nomimation for President. Hillary may be a liberal but she, like Bill Clinton, would at least be rational - in some ways Clinton was more of a conservative than Bush was during his last 4 years working with Republicans on welfare reform and capital gains tax cuts. When Obama takes over he will be on a 4 year power trip that could destroy America. He will be worshipped like a god and become a cult of personality leader like that will eclipe the likes of Fidel Castro and Kim Jong Il and his daddy. By the end of Obama reign of terror its likely 50% of people will be on welfare.

This is just another one of those silly language games the left likes to play, where they try to redefine words that they don't want people to use.

They actively denounce hate speech (which of course is any speech they don't like), while simultaneously moving to legislate measure against "hate speech."

These language games shouldn't be given any credibility, as they have none.

Control of education, control of economics, control of language, control of the courts...all under the thugocracy of liberals.
"Socialism" doesn't actually fit the description as much as "facisim", so I can see where facism will become the next default codespeak for racism.

First, they denied that government redistribution of people's hard earned money is socialism.

Then, they denied that registering millions of phony registrations is really vote fraud.

Next, they'll deny that shutting down talk radio and conservative blogs isn't censorship.

V the K;

We can still hope that next on their list is denying that being clobbered by a healthy margin in the popular vote and all but swept in the electoral college is "losing".

What's even funnier is that the Left might try to come up with new ways to accuse people who don't support Obama of racism, yet they have no problem whatsoever using their own blatantly bigoted and discriminatory terms about McCain and Palin. They eagerly make fun of McCain's age (DU loves calling him names like "Gramps"), and make comments about Palin which reek of sexism, elitism, and prejudice against people from Alaska.
