Michelle Obama Convention Speech Borrowed From Saul Alinsky

Even when doing her best to impersonate a Republican long enough to dupe voters into letting her into the White House, Michelle Obama can't help but betray the radical roots she shares with the Obamessiah. In her convention speech Monday she managed not to denounce America as "just downright mean" and not worth being proud of, but she did say this:

And Barack stood up that day, and he spoke words that have stayed with me ever since. He talked about "the world as it is" and "the world as it should be."

Maybe she's mixing up Barack with fellow extremist Saul Alinsky, who wrote this in his pernicious guide to replacing freedom with socialism, Rules for Radicals:

The standards of judgment must be rooted in the whys and wherefores of life as it is lived, the world as it is, not our wished-for fantasy of the world as it should be.

Or maybe Uhbama was borrowing again, like he did from fellow floundering post turtle Deval Patrick, and like his running mate is wont to do. It's also possible that as Gateway Pundit suggests, Michelle just happened to hear it in church:

On a tip from V the K.

If John McCain "borrowed" lines from others like this, the media would crucify him. At the very least, they would play it as proof that he is unintelligent and incapable of forming a coherent thought without help. Hell, Joe Biden had his own Presidential campaign submarined by plagarism accusations. What has happened to the media, anyway?

The ObamaMedia is what has happened to the Media.

Even FOX New Channel is laying off telling the facts on these issues, because telling the whole truth would not make economic sense.

Follow the money on that last comment.

Michelle and Biden can hang out in the back room and exchange notes on how to best 'borrow' other peoples intellectual property without getting caught.

They can invite Ward Churchill over for some pointers.

They are all 'Posers.'

Are you seriously suggesting that Michelle Obama plagiarized Alinksy because her speech juxtaposed "the world as it is" and "the world as it should be?" As though Alinsky was the only person in history to use the two phrases together in a sentence?

This is a new level of unintelligence.

Furthermore, I didn't hear any of Pastor Wright's radical sentiments reflected in Michelle Obama's speech. Regardless, a Conservative criticizing (hell, even suggesting) the presence of religious zealotry in Democratic rhetoric is laughable. It's not like W ever called the War on Terror a "Crusade..."

How about Sarah Palin's verbatim use of Michelle Obama's "18 million cracks in the ceiling" bit in her acceptance speech, part of a desperate attempt to appeal to Hillary supporters?

Furthermore, I did not hear any of Pastor Wright's radical sentiments in Michelle Obama's speech. Regardless, a conservative who balks at the (hell, even suggests) the presence of religious zealotry in democratic rhetoric is laughable. It's not like W called the War on Terror a "Crusade..."
