Communist Party USA's Obama Endorsement

Obama just keeps racking up those endorsements. Here's one from the Communist Party USA:

A broad multiclass, multiracial movement is converging around Obama's "Hope, change and unity" campaign because they see in it the thrilling opportunity to end 30 years of ultra-right rule and move our nation forward with a broadly progressive agenda.
This diverse movement combines a variety of political currents and aims in a working coalition that is crucial to social progress at this point. […] The struggle to defeat the ultra-right and turn our country on a positive path will not end with Obama's election. But that step will shift the ground for successful struggles going forward.

The CPUSA used to take money from the Soviet Union to advance the objective of overthrowing the American government and replacing it with a totalitarian police state allied with the USSR against remaining democracies. In those days, Frank Marshall Davis was an active member. He was also mentor and father figure to a racist, drug-addled, left-wing punk who grew up (sort of) to be the presumptive Democrat nominee for president. So the endorsement isn't much of a surprise.

With Putin apparently trying to resurrect the Soviet empire, CPUSA's funding might pick up again. No doubt this would be good news for the Obama campaign.

30 years of ultra-right rule? Gerald Ford was ultra-right? Jimmy Carter? Bill The Cat Clinton? Reagan? The Bushes? Yes, the Republicans were/are conservatives, but I wouldn't call them ultra-right. But then, the left considers anyone who disagrees with them to be dangerous ultra-right neo-con scum. In general, a candidate in a nationwide election would be hard-pressed to win election as an ultra-anything. Obama the ultra-marxist may yet prove this wrong, but I haven't conceded anything yet.

The "Ministry of Truth"-speak in their statement is truly guffaw-worthy. "Social progress!" Only to a leftist can diminishing freedom be called "progress". Only a leftist would call taking money from the productive and giving it to someone the unproductive "progress". America may be about to learn the hard way what the price of "social progress" is - a return to the same lifestyle your immigrant peasant ancestors had when they came over 100 years ago.

I'll be really fair here. Obama (like any other politician) can't be held responsible for everyone that supports him. Who knows? Maybe Charles Manson likes McCain. You can't control that.

BUT the fact that the Communist Party is supporting Obama has to reflect on where this guy is in the left/right spectrum.

Think you'll hear this on NBC or in the NY Times?

Not likely, Comrade.

Four years ago the CPUSA endorsed John Kerry. Then, when they realized their endorsement had a negative effect, they took it off their website. Wonder how long it'll take them to throw this endorsement down the memory-hole.

BTW, the comments at CPUSA on this are a treat!

Check out these videos: the first one is a humorous slide show of Hillary in soviet propaganda posters with the Soviet national anthem playing in the background, and the second one hammers (and sickles) Obama.

I don't think this is surprising at all. The only difference between the current Democrat party and CPUSA is one openlyy declares it political ideology openly and the other one doesn't.

Kevin, they may take it off their website, but I don't think we'll let 'em forget it was there!

The true test = will Obama have the balls to come out and denounce this endorsement?

You know he will not. He does not want to piss of his masters.

I agree with matt, it will just go away and the MSM will not report it.

let's see how the left reacts.

lovin' every minute of this!

Exactly, Oiao. And if we keep it alive and point it out, you get that same, dismissive "oh, do we have to hear THAT old story again" from the lefties. They have SUCH a sense of entitlement and "inevitability" now, that it just might sink them. I seem to remember something about pride coming before a fall.

You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time.
Abraham Lincoln, (attributed)
16th president of US (1809 - 1865)

Honest Abe was right on target with that one and Barack Hussein Obama clearly gets the first part but may be oblivious of the second part.

Unashamedly, he’s now appealing to those of us who believe abortion is murder (see previous posts) and expecting us to forget his bloody pro-abortion past:

I would suggest he read the other half of Lincoln’s words.

To a communists, even the half way normal moderate Democrats in the Democratic Party are ULTRA RIGHT.

There is no one to the left of the communists.

One cup of cream of Bill Clinton
Two tablespoons of extra-spicy Howard Dean
One pound of Obama
Four ounces of shredded Hillary
Withhold one galllon of John Edwards scandal (nothing to see here)
Sprinkle liberally *heh* with angry moonbats

After mixing gingerly, pour into a Pepsi Center and watch!

Best! Convention! Ever!

Someone found one of the communist guards that guarded John McCain while he was a prisoner of war. That fellow said he would vote for.... John McCain.

Does this mean that John McCain is a communist. Of course not. This is called guilt by association or an Ad hominem attack. It is not considered a valid line of reasoning:

Why don't you lay out your arguments directly. What evidence do you have regarding John McCain and mr. Obama's communist affiliations?

Tosnoop-diggity-dang-dawg: You want proof? Just this week Obama admitted that Frank Marshall Davis(communist party member) was his mentor growing up. Proof enough?
