Why Obama Blew Off Wounded US Troops

While in Germany posing as a world leader, addressing the sort of rally not staged there since the 1940s, and soaking up the adoration of people who don't like this country very much, Obama was scheduled to pay a visit to American troops. But this leg of the trip was abruptly canceled for mysterious reasons.

Now the reasons are mysterious no longer:

A U.S. military official tells NBC News they were making preparations for Sen. Barack Obama to visit wounded troops at the Landstuhl Medical Center at Ramstein, Germany on Friday, but "for some reason the visit was called off."
One military official who was working on the Obama visit said because political candidates are prohibited from using military installations as campaign backdrops, Obama's representatives were told, "he could only bring two or three of his Senate staff member, no campaign officials or workers." In addition, "Obama could not bring any media. Only military photographers would be permitted to record Obama's visit."
The official said "We didn't know why" the request to visit the wounded troops was withdrawn. "He (Obama) was more than welcome. We were all ready for him."

If it isn't a photo op, the Dalai Obama isn't interested. Why should he be? He's only real when the media's there to pretend that he is.

Visit the troops? Are you kidding? Why would he ever do that, since it would be an uncontrolled, unscripted situation? His handlers will never let him go into any scenario where an actual "hard" question will be asked of the Messiah -- he might actually answer the question truthfully and obliterate any (remaining) chance he has to become the next POTUS -- my God! We can't let that happen, can we, media boot-lickers? Be careful out there! Never leave God's gift to humanity alone, not even for a single instant, or disaster may befall the new Messiah, the world will go spinning out of it's orbit 'round the Sun, and we'll all die . . .

Some disrespectful soldier might ask him a question, like "Why are you pulling us out when we're winning?", or "Why aren't your buddies in Congress working to make sure our vote counts in November?". Obabble is the Howdy-Doody of our time. This is the moment when his "no policy" policies will be exposed. People of Berlin, enjoy the moment, because that's about how long BO will last in the general election.

Attention please! Attention please! From this moment onward, all cooks and kitchen personnel will replace the condiment title, "balsamic vinegar" with this new title, "Obasmic Vinegar". "Obasmic Vinegar".

That is all.

If this doesn't show you the true face of Obama, then you're as blind as his supporter Osama Bin Laden. No journos? No photogs? Not interested. He Jesse Jackson all over again.

And his handlers must be just brain-dead. Why wouldn't they have him go through with it anyway, to avoid the impression that he only cares when people are watching? To answer my own question: because he is so incompetent that without someone pulling his strings, he'll stumble all over the place and do untold damage to his election chances. And this is they guy the MSM wants leading the free world - which won't be free anymore by the time they get dome with it.

Wow, it never ceases to amaze me.

If he did go to the hospital, he would be accused of using wounded soliders as a campaign backdrop. He didn't go see them, so now he "blew off wounded US Troops."

It's really starting to get pathetic.

D-Vega, I think the point is not "damned if he did, damned if he didn't," but rather that it seems from this report that the Senator was quite willing to visit the troops IF he had his journalistic entourage snapping away as he shook hands, but unwilling to do so if only he and a couple of his senatorial staff would be allowed into the hospital. That makes it look like his only motive to visit in the first place was to have a grip-and-grin campaign photo-op rather than pay genuine homage to young men and women who have been wounded in service to their nation.

"Moonbattery"

Hasn't that become a bit dated now that a vast majority of the US population recognizes what an incompetent dolt Scrubby is?
