Only Half of Voters Are Aware That Media Is in the Tank for Obama

Here's a surprise: According to Rasmussen, only 49% of voters admit having noticed that the media is trying to install Barack Obama in the White House. It must be summertime; no one is paying attention to the news. But this percentage is sure to go up in light of the MSM's flagship newspaper, the New York Times, refusing to publish a McCain rebuttal to an editorial supposedly written by Obama.

Another surprise: 24% are so out of touch, they believe that most reporters will attempt to offer unbiased coverage. This is the same percentage that has a favorable opinion of the New York Times. Apparently a quarter of the population has already been assimilated.

At the furthest reaches of the lunatic fringe, 14% think the media will help McCain. That's probably half the number who think Dick Cheney blew up the World Trade Center.

On a tip from Burning Hot.

49% sane. 38% moonbat. 13% apparently clueless.

It would be nice if sanity still had a majority in this country.

Considering moonbat socialists have completely taken over the media and the education establishment, as well as most big city governments, it's remarkable that there is still as much as resistance as there is.

I find it encouraging that half the voters understand that the MSM is in the tank for Obama. It means that half of all voters no longer trust the MSM as an unbiased source for "news." A disengaged populace is not good for small "r" republican government, but it does suggest that most people are fairly content. I do not believe that most Americans are in the mood for the radical change offered up by the messiah.

And Paules, don't forget that a 2006 Harris Interactive poll that showed less than half of respondents trusted news anchors and journalists.

And I think you are right in your assessment that Americans are generally content, but don't underestimate their ability to make the wrong choice at the polls. Don't forget, Americans are also enamored of celebrity, something Obama (with the help of the media) offers, while McCain is just "some old white guy running for president."

I too find it encouraging that 1/2 of the population recognizes that the mainstream media is trying to install their candidate into the White House.

After all, if only half the people have been fooled by the relentless propaganda campaign by the MSM with its weekly Newsweek Obama-staring-into-the-distance covers, that's actually a pretty good sign of a resilient population that can see through the bullshit.

Also in the poll - more people trust stockbrokers than the media. So that's another good sign. When more people trust Congress than the media, the people will have finally woken up.
