Iraqi Minister Visits Wounded US Troops

When Obama learned that he couldn't bring his media circus, he blew off visiting wounded US troops in Germany. But Iraq's Minister of the Interior Jawad Karim al-Bolani holds them in higher regard, visiting them at Walter Reed and offering them the thanks for ending Saddam Hussein's menacing and genocidal rule that have not been forthcoming from the Democrats who helped send them to war.

Bolani also wanted to visit Walter Reed itself:

(We wanted) to witness firsthand the level of technical (and) medical sophistication that is being practiced here so that we may learn from it to help our foreign wounded and the many, many victims of terrorism and violence in Iraq.

Obama should have tagged along, so as to witness firsthand how grownup statesmen behave.

On a tip from Byron.

Thanks for that post. It's more important than you know. We have some decent friends in Iraq, certainly moreso than some of the flotsam that pollutes Congress these days.
