Dem Rep: Global Warming Caused Black Hawk Down

Proving that there is absolutely no bad thing moonbats won't attribute to the fictitious global warming crisis, unhinged Congressman Ed Markey (D-MA) is now blaming it for the Black Hawk Down incident that caused Bill Clinton to put his tail between his legs and scurry out of Somalia.

The tortured logic goes something like this: global warming causes droughts, droughts cause famine, famine caused us to send aid to Somalia, and the political chaos that was the real reason for the famine caused the aid not to be distributed. This led us to send in troops, some of whom were killed by the goons who were hoarding the aid.

Director of Energy and Global Warming Policy at CEI Myron Ebell injects a dose of reality:

Yes, that part of the world is subject to drought at times, but it has very little to do with global warming. It is subject to drought whether the global average temperature is going up, down, or staying the same.

Malarkey peddled this nonsense to high school kids, who were also treated to the tired canard that the nonexistent global warming phenomenon caused Hurricane Katrina. The virtual absence of hurricanes since Katrina and Rita was presumably left for others to explain.

Moving from absurd fantasies to blatant lies, Malarkey asserted that there is "no question" that human activity is causing global warming that is resulting in "this harm" (i.e., Katrina, Black Hawk Down, etc.). Never mind that there is zero evidence that human activity affects global temperatures, which haven't risen for 10 years now.

The kids were told that even the Islam-induced insanity in Darfur is caused by global warming. The nonexistent climate crisis has engulfed the entire planet. The only solution is to turn over still more power to mendacious bureaucrats like Edward Markey.

Nothing these leftards say is surprising. They twist words and facts around with ease. It's second nature to them. They've got the youngest generation believing humans are merely advanced apes and that God is a myth so why not inject another lie or even a few thousand more? Even if half the population isn't dumb enough to fall for it, it only takes a minority of the wrong kind to effect change for the rest of us. "Change" is their catch-phrase after all right?

Sounds like a lot of malarkey to me.

Global warming is responsible for frying his brain.

And to think that all this time I thought lack of rain caused drought.

...and the scary thing is people are BUYING this crap. I understand in a way...people have busy lives, they can't research every issue and (big point) they've been subtly fed the "everything man does is bad" stuff since they were in grade school.

To un-hypnotize these folks is not going to be easy, but it could be done. I doubt it though, esp. when the politicians (and event the Pope) are talking "climate change" like it's a result of our actions. We're in big trouble.

Answer to Jimbo:
Yes lack of rain causes drought.

However when talking about famine in a certain geographical areas with geopolitics being involved many times famine has been caused by governments, by rebels and by war in general.

Often times governments that are communist and/or want to create hardships for specific ethnic and/or religious groups within their orders they will force those within those targeted groups off of their land even if no one else is available to farm it.

In many countries that have war or tribal wars or power struggles even if their was farmland near the refugee camps, it would be too dangerous to farm the land.

Farmers relocated or forced off their land.
Farm land abandoned to grow back into wilderness.
These things happen to all of the farmers within a small geographical area, it can cause famine.
Especially in third world countries where many of the people are already on the edge of starvation and survival.

CORRECTION..........

Where I said;
"Often times governments that are communist and/or want to create hardships for specific ethnic and/or religious groups within their orders they will force those within those targeted groups off of their land even if no one else is available to farm it."

The middle of that should have said;
"within their borders"
not "within their orders".
Sorry for the mistype.

If someone double-tapped Malarkey, they could say it was ...global warming.

Watching the moonbats adoring the Goracle and buying into every word of his hoax for cash and control is about as painful as trying to copulate with a mountain lion in a phone booth!!!! I can't stand it anymore! LOL!!! Where do they find so many gullable people?

Mainstream media should just end every news report with:

"and this tragedy was undoubtably caused by global warming. We'll let you know later when we figure out why."
