Moonbats Go After McCain's Teeth, Smashed by Communist Torturers

You can attack McCain from the right on immigration, oil drilling, global warming malarkey, freedom of speech, etc. But attacking him from the left is more of a challenge. Moonbat Molly Priesmeyer has been reduced to running a piece at Minnesota Monitor with this headline:

The dental gap: Does John McCain have presidential teeth?

McCain is accused of having teeth that "look like a mess of yellowed and contorted Chiclets."

Maybe Molly doesn't realize that they look like that because McCain had them broken off at the gumline at the Hanoi Hilton, while serving his country with the sort of courage and honor that would make a progressive's lip curl. But no: she does know, but the story remains on Minnesota Monitor's front page anyway. It doesn't look like an apology from Prissmeyer will be forthcoming.

Minnesota Monitor is bankrolled by George Soros, whose lackeys boast of having bought and paid for the Democrat Party.

It's been removed! Guess the negative blowback was too much even for this shameless bunch.

Oops, it's back. Must have been a blip.

What are 'Presidential Teeth'? The first thing that came to my mind when I read the phrase was George Washington's poorly tailored dentures. The second thing was Jimmy Carter's used car dealer's grin. Who would you trust?

Yet more evidence of liberal focus on surface over substance (and I'm no fan of Lettuce McLame -- after that so-called speech today by McCain, I gotta go along with Rush: We are all shafted!).

UPDATE: McCain's teeth -- an apology

To answer the question from GOP blogger Michael Brodkorb that kicked off the controversy about this post yesterday: No, neither Molly Priesmeyer nor I was aware that McCain had had his teeth broken as a North Vietnamese prisoner of war. No, we would not have piled on with further aspersions on the appearance of his teeth if we had known.

The item was not intended to make a serious point of any sort, as we thought the headline suggested right off the bat ("The dental gap: Does McCain have presidential teeth?"). It was a bit of web ephemera that we found funny mainly for its absurdity--sort of like the videos we've posted from Obama Girl, the McCain Girls, and La Pequena, and items we've written about phenomena such as social media sites obsessed with Barack Obama. The POW backstory turns a joke noted in passing into a lousy joke. And we're sorry for that.

We're also sorry that this dust-up has inadvertently provided yet another sideshow in which genuinely important questions about the candidate and his campaign are circumvented. There's far too much of that going around.

This is so typical about you folks here. Always wanting to be a victim. It dont work for dems or repubs. And silly political humor when gone to far is ok to say sorry and back off. Full disclosure, I kind of like McCain, then again I like Bush and Clinton too so call me a moonbat.

And when I said Clinton I meant Bill no Hil, lol.
