Four More Years of Gavin Newsom

Congratulations to Gavin Newsom on his overwhelming reelection victory as Mayor of San Francisco. He took 77% of the vote against such stellar competition as professional "showman" Chicken John Rinaldi, psychiatrically challenged homeless cab driver Grasshopper Alec Kaplan, nudist George Davis, and sex club owner Michael Powers, as well as seven other candidates.

Punk singer Jello Biafra, who once ran on the platform that all businessmen should be forced to wear clown suits between 9 and 5, wasn't on the ballot this time. Neither was Chavez toady Danny Glover, despite earlier speculation.

All the same, Newsom faced a lot of competition for a guy known to be a scofflaw, a drunk, and an adulterer. Fortunately for him, hardly anyone bothered voting.

Gavin Newsom basks in triumph.

Hat tip: This Goes to 11.

The people of San Fransicko can now enjoy four more years of higher taxes, increasing crime rates, aggressive homeless vagrants, and illegal immigrants.

Couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch of freaks.

i was going to say they'll probably take it in the hiney, but that would be a redundancy.

Is it my imagination or does Gavin have a major boner in his pants? Is he outside a bath house?

I can imagine the slogans he ran on:
"Vote Newsom: You could do worse. REALLY!"
"Newsom: He's not as crazy as SOME people we could name"

I see the Mayor is surrounded by the usual crowd of grass roots, down-home Americans who made this country great.

He looks alot like the junkie singer from Stone Temple Pilots in the photo.

If I was ever fortunate enough to receive enough money to travel this country, I would love to see all of it except San Francisco.

Well, Carl, San Fransicko isn't really part of America anyway.

Yeah, well, judging from the flags flown in the picture you could mistake it for a foreign country very easily.

Its funny that the Populist mayor is a self-professed moderate.

Only in San Francisco could a leftwing partisan say that.
