Judge Chucks Out Global Warming Suit

Amazing — more sanity from judges in northern California:

Yesterday the 9th Circus tossed out a suit brought by Rachel Corrie's parents against Caterpillar for manufacturing the bulldozer that made a Fruit Roll-Up out of their moonbat daughter. On the same day, US federal judge Martin Jenkins applied the brakes to an equally demented lawsuit brought by California's wacky attorney general Jerry Brown, formerly known as Governor Moonbeam.

Brown was hoping to loot automobile manufacturers for hundreds of $millions on the meritless grounds that they contribute to the imaginary climate change crisis.

As Jenkins observed in his ruling, the global warming hoax is a more appropriate subject for the political branches of our government — much as looters like Moonbeam might prefer to bypass the voters and expropriate fortunes by judicial decree.

Imagine the economic chaos if the country's most populous state were to succeed in declaring the maker of any car on its roads fair game to be pillaged. It could still happen — Brown could appeal to the infamous 9th Circus. From there the case would go to the Supremes, who have already ruled that CO2 — i.e., our very breath — is a dangerous pollutant.

Former Governor Moonbeam.

On a tip from Wiggins.
