Berkeley Moonbat Calls for Extinction of Human Race

If anyone has failed to figure out the ultimate objective of liberalism taken to its logical conclusion, the Berkeley Daily Planet makes it plain — moonbats literally want to put an end to the human race:

The hour of judgment is at hand for our planet. Doom is knocking on our door in the form of catastrophic climate change. Global warming not only threatens our so-called way of life, it threatens the very existence of the planet itself! […]
The only real, long term hope for the eco-sphere is a massive human population collapse, hopefully leading to the voluntary extinction of the human race. Already, a new urgency and groundswell of support is building for the idea that humans are a type of super toxin which the planet cannot sustain or support in the longterm. Cogent support for the voluntary extinction of the human race is well-articulated in all its ramifications and implications here:

The idea that humans are a toxin has a precedent in Kurt Vonnegut's assertion that humans are "a disease on the face of this planet." Vonnegut's juvenile tripe is considered literature on today's college campuses.

The city and residents of Berkeley should be on the leading vanguard of the voluntary extinction of the human race. First of all, if China can implement a very sensible one child policy in urban centers, Berkeley voters should approve an advisory No Child policy for residents of our city. It could be our answer to the Bush regime’s No Child Left Behind Act! Next, on the state level we need to rally support for a ballot initiative which allows us to die with dignity when we choose to. When this option is legally enacted, Berkeley should be the first city in California to open a euthanasia clinic. Hopefully, if we are true to our principles, our city’s residents will be lined up for many blocks waiting for their turn to be recycled into the earth!

Unfortunately, dead Democrats still vote. Just ask ACORN. Back to Berkeley:

Even before that time, younger readers of the Planet in particular should refrain from having children. Every person less makes a huge difference; a far bigger difference than using rapid transit, riding your bike or recycling bottles once you are born. Readers of the Planet who are already parents and grandparents should actively discourage further destructive procreation by their relatives. If pets need to be neutered and spayed by law, so should humans for many of the same reasons!
Imagine if Berkeley has the honor of becoming the first human ghost town on earth to revert to a primal state of nature!

True enough, if you believe the fashionable rhetoric regarding global warming, the only thing we could do about it would be cease to exist. Calling for human extinction is nothing new among moonbats. Katharine Jefferts Schori, as Presiding Bishop of the moonbatty Episcopal Church, encourages people not to have children for the sake of "stewardship of the earth." Author David Benatar has devoted an entire book to arguing that it would be better if humans didn't exist.

So get with the program, progressives. Stop reproducing.

Natural selection may take a toll on moonbats.

On a tip from Mike.

Pretty please?

I'm all for neutering the Berkeley crowd.
Gentlemen, sharpen your knives.

Who let the Gaian believer in? Note also the url - Pronounced, of course, vehement.

A moonbat has no greater enemy than his or her own rhetoric.

This is their future.

It sounds like the dream of a madman from a James Bond movie.

I think I'll rent Moonraker and have a good laugh.

Your post finally got me off my eco-unfriendly butt to do my Gaia post. Thanks.

I visualize a line of T-Shirts.
"Love the Planet. Kill Yourself."

Posted by: Gregory at September 26, 2007 11:59 PM

Yes! Please! Moonbats! Extinct yourselves in the name of Gaia!

I may have to rethink my position on assisted suicide.

Tis strange. Whenever one accuses the Greens of being anti-human, one gets accused of misrepresenting them, being an extremist etc. "Just because one (green) is a bit of a nutter, our movement isn't, we're moderate, we don't hate humans..." so I've taken to saving the odd link when we find ordinary Greens, in their "natural environment" showing their true colours. Such as this vox pop in the Daily Telegraph online. Bear in mind the Telegraph is known as the "Torygraph" for being conservative. Note the flurry of "exterminate humanity" posts right at the start of the debate (unlike most blogs, older comments are at the bottom of the page rather than at the top)-

These are ordinary greens posting demands for human extinction. Unless they're activists astro-turfing. Whatever. I find it chilling.

In some ways, their idea makes sense (for them). They themselves are clearly mentally diseased, they know it, and want to act in the most effective and self-destructive way possible to address it.

Most of these loons don't procreate anyway. Perhaps it's their frustration in not being able to find anyone to screw...

But what I really wanted to point out is here are these folk calling for human extinction...and none of them are offing themselves for the good of Mother Earth.

All of their hot air has got to be contributing to global warming anyway...

WHY?? Rusty garden shears will work equally well, and are better than these morons deserve!

And since this (human extinction) is what they are calling for, I propose a bounty on liberal moonbat retards, to help defray the cost of ammo.

Why dont all the moonbats just whip up a batch of Jim Jones Kool-Aid the next Earth Day and knock back a few glasses for Mother Earth?

They could arrive a day early and dig their own graves so then bulldozers could just cover them over.

"Global warming not only threatens our so-called way of life, it threatens the very existence of the planet itself!"

Geez, critics of the global warming hype machine are accused of ignoring science, but the above mentioned Berkeley piece displays its own ignorance of science.

Fact is planet earth's existence is not threatened. Planet earth was around long before man set foot here and will be if we ever become extinct. Climate on the planet has changed dramatically of the course of time and thousands upon thousands of species have gone extinct without there every being a combustion engine involve.

If these fools are right about global warming doing the planet such dire damage and causing the extinction of the human race, why do anything at all then? No need to get our shorts in a knot and curtail our way of life or use of fossil fuels. We can continue apace and get right to where they want to be. No more us.

That's the end of the GW debate. I'm fine with that.

Berkeley inmates proposing to off themselves en masse?

Less talk, more action!

Posted by: Anonymous at September 27, 2007 9:21 AM

okay - i'm all for it!

they, however, should go first!

Posted by: nanc at September 27, 2007 9:56 AM

nanc beat me to the cute come-back.

Say, if they are in favor of human extiction, does this mean they now favor EXICUTING MURDERERS?

Posted by: KHarn at September 27, 2007 10:10 AM

There's already a serious self-extinction population crisis going on in Europe. I'm curious to see how they will maintain their socialist systems when the native populations are almost cut in half in the next 50 years or so - with most of those left being elderly. And it's not really that much better here.

Meanwhile, idiot liberals are still blathering on about an "over-population crisis". Sheesh - like "the Boss" once said: "It ain't no sin to be glad you're alive"

Posted by: forest at September 27, 2007 10:28 AM

Yes nanc... I say we start on the left first.

i just want to see how far they'll go before i join in the game!

call me a diplomat...
