Dem Rep. Brian Baird Admits Surge Working: Constituents Enraged

If you're a Democrat with the integrity to acknowledge that our troops are succeeding in Iraq, steer clear of the moonbat-infested Portland suburb of Vancouver, Washington, where Dem Rep. Brian Baird made the mistake of admitting in front of a town hall meeting at Fort Vancouver High School that the surge is working.

Baird's pacifist credentials were in order: he voted against deposing Saddam Hussein and against the surge. He even has an 84% lifetime approval score from the ACLU. But then he told the audience that since the surge is working, we ought to give it time.

According to an eye-witness report, the crowd erupted in raucous applause when Jon Soltz of the PAC accused Baird of being fooled "by a dog and pony show" on his recent visit to Iraq and of "providing cover for President Bush." Then Code Pink kook Zanne Joi "brought down the house" by denouncing Baird as "arrogant" and the war as only about "American oil profit."

Doris Holmes, active in local Democrat politics, screeched of Baird:

He lied. He's toeing the Bush party line. I can't believe he's a Democrat.

If a Congressman came back from Iraq with the last al-Qaeda terrorist's head on a platter, liberals would still holler in rage at any suggestion that America isn't losing. Yet the soldiers they despise are over there risking their lives to preserve the cushy lifestyles of these vermin, so that they can live comfortably inside their bubbles of anti-American propaganda and never get pricked by the barbs of reality.

Baird escaped before he could be burned at the stake.

On a tip from V the K.

Do you suppose there's a patriotic democrat left in this country? Do they all hate America and side with the terrorists? Are the electorate stupid enough to actually put one of them in as president in 08?

That really is something, that Rep. Baird actually got out of there in one piece. These "anti-war" Moonbats are among the most violent people on the Earth, second only to the rabid Islamofascists (their bestest new friends, til the takeover, when all the Moonbats will be heading for the executioner's block).

Damn, that axe looks big!

Whoa! Next thing you know, he'll "admit" that affirmative action is a quota system.

Great point jc14, the US peace activists are among the most violent people on Earth, second only to the Religion of Peace adherants.

FYI: Vancouver is a suburb of Portland, not Seattle.

Nothing annoys the moonbats more than American success. It can be economic, it can be military. For them, our success = spread of oppressive capitalist system. And if a Republican is at the helm when it happens, the spread of the system takes place (in their mind) by means of conspiracy.

Steve, you define success as over 3000 American deaths and 30,000 maimed for a war with no demonstrable purpose (other than oil, of course)? Damn, dude...I don't want to friggin be around for your failures!!!!
