Carbon Cops

Australia's left-leaning ABC has come out with an explosive new action series that offers a hint of the future in store for us if Kool-Aid–swilling ecofascist liberals prevail. The six-part series Carbon Cops features dashing young scientists Sean Fitzgerald and Lish Fejer, who go from home to home chastising citizens for contributing to the imaginary global warming menace. The Sydney Morning Herald reports:

Each week they don their orange monogrammed shirts to cordon off the toxic home of an Australian family. They arrive with energy-auditing gadgetry, sobering statistics and lips and eyebrows curled in withering admonishment. They rate these people, shame them, then challenge them to do better.

As always, it's hard not to notice the hard-left ideology for which the entire global warming hoax is such a thin pretext:

Taken together, the case studies are not about individual scapegoats as much as an indictment of Western affluence, negligence and self-obsession. As Fitzgerald says: "Out of these six households, everyone can see one family and go, 'Well, that's pretty close to us.'"

In other words, the show demands that we hate ourselves for the affluence we have created.

For now it's just idiot moonbats in goofy orange shirts. Someday soon it could be real police, hauling us off to jail for using the wrong kind of light bulb or not recycling our garbage. Difficult as it is to take seriously, modern environmentalism is actually the most terrifying ideology since communism — with which it has quite a lot in common.

Maybe for some on the hard left it is a pretext. Maybe for others it is a real concern.

Everything is not black or white Van Helsing.

It's unfortunate the Aussies were disarmed, like their Brit cousins. I'd love to see these morons get a real welcome for trespassing on private property.

"You're gonna lecture me, on MY property, Mate? I don't THINK so...."

For anyone that has a real concern about global warming being a real threat is an idiot and has been taken by a bunch of swindlers. They will jump through every idiotic hoop the environmentalists put in front of them all in attempt to achieve the arbitrary status of "green". My only regret is that I didn't think of the carbon offset scam first.

Maybe global warming is real.

G.

Maybe aliens will land on the Whitehouse lawn within the next 100 years.

Almost no one is saying the Earth hasnt warmed about 0.6 or 0.7 C over the last 150 years, but whether CO2 is a cause or effect of the temperature increase is an open question.

Tens of billions of dollars have been funneled into Global Warming research over the last 20 years and if these scientists were to reveal the real cause was the Sun - that money would dry up so fast their heads would spin. Its in their financial interest to promote Global Warming hysteria. Until Greenland is actually green again like it was in the days of the Vikings 1,000 years ago - Im not going to even think of doing anything to reduce CO2 emissions. Even then, why were the temperatures so much warmer back then? Were the Vikings driving SUV's and belching CO2 from coal fired power plants? And what about the Global Warming on Mars? Martians driving SUV's I suppose?

Anonymous,

I thought almost all scientists agreed that global warming is man made.

I thought almost all scientists agreed that global warming is man made.

You thought wrong, sweetness. But considering how the MSM parrots that demonstrably false pap, I can understand how you'd come to such a wrong conclusion.

Anthropogenic "Global Warming" -- the natural successor to the worldwide Communist movement of the late 19th/early 20th Centuries. With all the trappings of a religion, faith-based, all contrary ("inconvenient") facts ignored or the proponents demonized -- quite simply the single greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people (if we let 'em), by some of the most hypocritical scammers ever to crawl out from under a rock.

There is a Vorlon saying "Understanding is a 3 edged sword - there is your side, their side and the truth."

EVERYTHING is black and white, good and evil, right or wrong, g. that really bothers you, doesn't it?

life is much more cut and dried if one knows the difference.

nanc,

You conform to a conservative stereotype - rigid and authoriatarian - no tolerance for things that are not black and white.

Life is often not black or white - but recongizing this and dealing with it takes mental effort, character, and intelligence.

Case closed.

PS

nanc,

I am not a psychologist - I am not qualified to unravel what in your life has made you predisposed to a conservative mentality.

But at least my observation can serve as a starting point for you.

Good luck!

g. - life is easy for me - there are NO grey areas. i rest easy and have absotively no need to visit leftwing hate sites to make my point.

your point?

nothing a hat wouldn't cover, i'm sure.

Posted by: nanc at July 12, 2007 7:17 PM

nanc,

That explains it - you are a conservative b/c you don't think.

Posted by: G. at July 12, 2007 7:27 PM

...b/c you don't think.

I tell you, G, for one such as yourself who hasn't posted an original thought yet, that is a heap of projection.

Posted by: Louis' Lues at July 12, 2007 7:41 PM

louis' lues - it (g.) is incapable. it does what its (g.) told. i won't live my life that way - i have a conscience and have a strange desire to get a good night's sleep.

>>>You conform to a conservative stereotype - rigid and authoriatarian - no tolerance for things that are not black and white.

In other words "Liberals GOOD! Conservatives EVIL!"?
Uh, what was that you were saying about things NOT being "black and white", G.?
