Moderate Muslim Denounces Dems For Consorting With CAIR

The mythical moderate Muslim has been located, and he doesn't think much of Rep. Joe Sestak (D-PA) for pandering to the terrorist front group CAIR.

Sestak saw fit to address a CAIR function over the weekend. Disgustingly, he went beyond excusing himself with the typical blather about "establishing a dialogue" to actually praise CAIR for its terrorist support work, and echo propaganda meant to undermine our readiness for the next 9/11:

CAIR does such important and necessary work in a difficult environment to change such perceptions and wrongs — from racial profiling and civil rights to promoting justice and mutual understanding — at a time when it is challenging to be an American Muslim and pass, for example, through an airport checkpoint.

Pennsylvania's Dem Governor Ed Rendell also came to kiss rings at the CAIR event.

CAIR was established as a Hamas front group. It has specialized in using ACLU-type tactics to undermine our terror defenses. It won't even pretend to oppose the leading terror sects Hamas and Hezbollah.

Zuhdi Jasser of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy is appalled that unscrupulous politicians would pander to the likes of CAIR:

CAIR's focus on apologetics for terrorism, victimization and minority politics is simply a distraction from their responsibility to lead the battle within the Islamic community to defeat militancy and theocracy.
As an American Muslim, I have significant concerns with CAIR and their less-than-transparent agenda. At the core, they present themselves as a representative of a faith community, but a brief review of all their materials demonstrates a heavily political agenda long on foreign and domestic policy criticism and very short on spirituality.
These politicians legitimize their faith representation and their political representation of our faith community — which they certainly do not for many Muslims. Those reformers who understand that the root cause of terrorism is political Islam will have no chance whatsoever to win the ideological battle over the mosque if the Islamists are repeatedly endorsed and empowered by our government.

He dismisses CAIR's watery condemnations of terror as "empty" and "dangerously nonspecific." Since this also perfectly describes Democrat anti-terror policy, it's hardly surprising that folks like Sestak and Rendell find common ground with CAIR.

Well, the Air Pelosi congress may be ready to tuck tail and surrender to Islamo-Fascism, but they're totally cereal about Manbearpig. In fact, they want the CIA and DoD to investigate ManBearPig as a threat to national security.

Hopefully, the CIA will determine that Manbearpig is a real threat to US national security. Then, the Democrats will ignore it.

Mr. Jasser: Watch your back! We're damn proud (and pleased as punch) that you spoke up (and spoke the truth), though.

Best of luck!

Er, V the K, your linky to workie. It seems to be missing the much good href attribute.

I saw that story. Totally insane. Can't we investigate the Democrats as a threat to national security? Not that much investigation is needed.

More of the moderate truly peaceful Muslims need to act more like Jasser and his group and not be afraid of confronting the radical elements that would not only destroy the civilized world but many Muslims as well; one only needs to look at Iraq/Taliban for an example of what the crazies want the world to be. Its too bad people like Jasser dont get more press - 75% of the world media seems almost entirely focused on bringing down George Bush and anyone connected to him rather than focusing on the real threat. Maybe once Europe goes up in flames in a decade or 2, they will finally get it - but by then it may be too late.
