Gavin Newsom Obstructs National Defense, Law Enforcement

As America awaits the inevitable follow-up to 9/11, and the illegal immigration crisis spirals out of control, San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom is rising to the occasion — by promising that no San Francisco employee will participate in immigration enforcement.

Secure in the knowledge that sedition and treason are not considered crimes when indulged in by Democrats, Newsom crowed:

I will not allow any of my department heads or anyone associated with this city to cooperate in any way shape or form with these raids. We are a sanctuary city, make no mistake about it.

"These raids" is a reference to the federal government's lackluster attempts to defend the country from foreign invasion. At best, the invasion will continue to result in an explosively growing alien underclass that already represents a crippling burden on public services and will inevitably lead to severe social strife. At worst, the invaders pouring into our country will include the next Mohammed Atta et al., possibly along with their nuclear weapons.

But that's not Gavin Newsom's problem. All he has to worry about is getting reelected by the same irresponsible moonbats who gave us Nancy Pelosi. He's on the right track.

Gavin Newsome should have to serve equal prison time with each illegal alien who commits a crime in “his” city.

He can have “his city”. I spent 18 sorrowful years working in San Francisco. The last straw came several years back when ‘AC/DC Newsome’ began issuing marriage licenses to homosexuals in defiance of state law. I sold out and moved out. San Francisco is a sick, sick place where the “homeless” defecate on the sidewalks, and God and patriotism are against ‘common’ law.

I’ve now spent 2 great years in Austin and plan to stay around these parts. Austin’s biggest embarrassment in today’s news is Sheryl Crow who is advocating “one-square per squat” (in reference to toilet paper) to save the planet.

Newsom will protest these raids until something bad happens in SF. Then he will berate the government, saying, "Why didn't you do something?"

Oh yes, I saw that in the news today... if that isn't moonbattery, I don't know what is.

Be interesting to see how the SFPD handles this proclamation, seeing as how the oath of office the cops take states they will faithfully execute the laws of Kalifornia, and the United States ... not just local laws in SF.

But then, as others have noted, this nitwit IS a lefty - so the rules that normally might apply are somewhat overlooked.
