NYC to Allow Changing Sex on Birth Certificates

Taking a final headlong plunge into the very depths of polysexual moonbattery, New York City will soon allow sexually perplexed natives to alter the sex on their birth certificates, without even having undergone sex-change surgery.

Being able to legally define yourself as whichever gender you like will of course have implications for homosexual marriage and homosexual adoption. Men might also decide they want to play on women's sports teams.

There will be other complications. Dr. Paul McHugh is a member of the President's Council of Bioethics and chairman of the psychiatry department at Johns Hopkins University. As McHugh relates:

I've already heard of a "transgendered" man who claimed at work to be "a woman in a man's body but a lesbian" and who had to be expelled from the ladies' restroom because he was propositioning women there. He saw this as a great injustice in that his behavior was justified in his mind by the idea that the categories he claimed for himself were all "official" and had legal rights attached to them.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority already allows people to decide which gender they want to be when it comes to using restrooms.

One individual who testified in favor of the proposal is "Mariah" Lopez, who wants his birth certificate altered to help him pretend he is a woman. Bureaucrats at the welfare office kept referring to him as "Mister Lopez," which detracted from the bizarre fantasy to which it appears he has devoted his life. Why should a person have to suffer such indignities just to collect the free money we taxpayers provide him?

As the Gray Lady proudly notes:

While it may be a radical notion elsewhere, New York City has often tolerated such blurring of the lines of gender identity. And the proposal reflects how the transgender movement has become politically potent beyond its small numbers, having roots in the muscular politics of the city's gay rights movement.

Moonbattery is reducing our largest city to a freak show.
