Losing Weight the MSM Way

Although primarily used to propagandize on behalf of Muslim terrorists, the MSM's talent for fauxtography has other applications. For example, it allowed cutie-pie mouthpiece Katie Couric to lose weight instantly. Check out the waistline:

As TVNewser documents, both versions of this photo came from CBS.

Hat tip: Sticky Notes, on a tip from Bill V.

Despite being an unhinged thick skulled moonbat, Katie is a good looking middle aged woman.

What is it with the 0% body fat "insect" look?

You know, it occurs to me that there are two explanations for this photo:

1. Katie thinks she's fat and asked CBS to do this for her.

2. CBS thinks Katie is too fat and did this for her.

If its the latter, Katie needs to take note that her new employer thinks she's fat. And perhaps she needs to go on the Nicole Richie Diet.

No wonder so many young girls today have eating disorders...I blame the media..its a FAKE world girls!! Katie looks fine the way she is..age gracefully people.

Katie needs to be on the next edition of Celebrity Fat Club. (I know its FIT but they are all FAT)

What theyve done is truly Orwellian. It reminds me of an episode of one of those Twilight Zone/Outer Limits type shows where they scanned a highly paid famous reporter into a computer. After they were finished they kept the real reporter locked in a room for the rest of their life while the computer generated reporter went on doing news stories for no pay. Is this Katies fate?

Katie clearly had the perkiness on high beam that day - should've just put it on "stun."

Real women have curves!

And another thing...I don't want to sound like Spike Lee here, but did you notice she also got WHITER in the second picture?

Posted by: phil at August 30, 2006 5:27 AM

They should have given her a set of medicine ball tits while they were at it.

This thread on Couric's weight is shallower than Couric. Let CBS fauxtoshop their PR pix; nail them when they try to do it with real news.

Who cares if Couric looks like Irving R. Levine when she isn't made up? Weightiness, not weight, is the issue. If she can deliver the news in an impartial manner (fat chance) is all that anyone should care about.

I think you're missing the point, chsw#. Media manipulation of imagery has become the norm in every aspect of life. If it were just a few pictures it could be dismissed, but they do it everywhere, all the time. It's almost pathological. When they resort to editing a woman's weight when there really isn't any problem with it, then you know there's something wrong. It becomes an example of just how far removed from reality they are.

At first it was just a bit of airbrushing of so-called supermodels in adverts, which is fair enough when you think about it, but now we've reached the point where nothing, nothing is real anymore. In that sort of environment is it any wonder people start to question the reality of 9/11, the Iraq wars, or world war 2? Or the holocaust?

I'd still hit it.

Katie: Shut up and read the news!
