Cynthia McKinney: March Moonbat of the Month™

Congratulations to Cynthia McKinney! In recognition of her contributions to a greater awareness of the supreme absurdity of the Left, Something... and Half of Something and Moonbattery are naming this Democratic Representative from Georgia Moonbat of the Month™.

Her most recent accomplishment is converting her assault on a U.S. Capitol Police officer into a racial crisis. The officer, failing to recognize the Representative because she was not wearing her lapel pin and because her normally braided hair had exploded, asked McKinney three times to pass through the metal detector like other visitors to the Longworth House Office Building on Capitol Hill. When she refused, he placed a hand on her and got punched. She has been issued an arrest warrant, though one of her lawyers is now seeking an investigation against the officer.

Never one to miss a chance to publicly indulge in moonbattery, McKinney is now attempting to convert the incident into a race and sex issue. Flanked by fellow left-wing wackos Harry Belafonte and Danny Glover, she declared at a news conference that the officer was guilty of "inappropriately touching" her, a "FEMALE BLACK congresswoman" (emphasis McKinney's).

According to McKinney, the incident has nothing to do with security; she was "just a victim of being in Congress while black." Proclaims her lawyer, James W. Myart Jr.:

Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney, like thousands of average Americans across this country, is, too, a victim of the excessive use of force by law enforcement officials because of how she looks and the color of her skin.

Thanks, Rep. McKinney, for helping us all to see how ludicrous it is for obnoxious people to screech about racism every time they are asked to behave like civilized adults.

This incident adds to a long resume of moonbattery. McKinney

  • helped create the seat she holds through race-based gerrymandering;
  • is a member of the extremely radical Progressive Caucus;
  • has a voting record that is applauded by the AFL-CIO, NARAL, and the NEA, a teacher's union that bears heavy responsibility for the current sorry state of affairs in education;
  • has voted to legalize killing babies even after they are born;
  • has voted against safeguards to prevent fraudulent voting;
  • has refused to vote to condemn the rabidly racist lunatics at Nation of Islam;
  • has taken every possible opportunity to express her hostility toward Israel;
  • has taken massive political campaign contributions from radical Muslims;
  • begged for the $10 million Rudy Giuliani turned down after 9/11 from Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal — money that came attached to the message that we deserved what we got for supporting Israel;
  • publicly said, "We know there were numerous warnings of the events to come on September 11. What did this administration know and when did it know it, about the events of September 11th? Who else knew, and why did they not warn the innocent people of New York who were needlessly murdered?….What do they have to hide?";
  • supported brutal Zimbabwean dictator Robert Mugabe's policy of confiscating land from Caucasians; and
  • counts the Association of Trial Lawyers of America as one of her biggest campaign contributors.

It won't take many more moonbats like McKinney to make the last rational people give up trying to justify voting Democratic.

Playing the "race card" is known since OJ Simpson trial. For another such play see

"Moonbat of the Month" doesn't quite describe her, Van.

Unconscionable Asshole of the Month does it nicely, I think.

I have to agree with HollywoodNeoCon. This woman is more of an unconscionable hustler than a dyed-in-the-wool Chomskyesque Moonbat with a capital 'M'. Maybe she's more of a moonbat with a lower case 'm'.....

Great TKO Van Helsing! I can feel another several thousand swing votes going Republican.

I don't know what you'all put in the water, but our Canadian Moonbats at least know when to keep their mouth's shut (usually). Howard Dean, the inspirational leader of Moonbats, must have infected all of your moonbats with his wonderful verbal skills. yeeeeaaaaarrrrrh!

For intense moonbat watching, I highly recommend watching Oliver Stone's appearance on The Henry Rollins show tonigt (on IFC). The entire thing was comedic god.

Stone cooly explained to Rollins that Bush was "a dictator" who was along the line of the old Chinese Communist Gang of Four who engineered the death of millions in the Great Leap Forward and Cultural Revolution.

Then he said "its sort of like the Roman Republic becoming the Roman Empire."

Henry Rollins regularly interrupted Stone, ranting separately that the Patriot Act is "a ruination of the greatest mechanism I've ever witnessed in my entire life, Democracy." He then admitted that he tried to read it and was unable to understand what any of it said.

SNL couldn't write a better parody of these airheads.

Henry may be a punk icon for his work with Black Flag, and his oration skills are beyond question...

But it sadly doesn't change the fact that he belongs to a political ideology that mistakenly thinks it's smarter than everybody else.

I luv ya, Henry. Too bad you're an asshole, though.

Tried to send the illustrious congresswoman an email telling her what I thought of her wonderful, race baiting act. Guess what?? The goof doesnt have an email address !! The only congressional member who doesnt! Gee wonder why? All the email must have downed the servers.

You mean Cynthia McKinney is BLACK?! And all this time, I thought she was IRISH.

But, how was I to know?

Posted by: "Mad" Hatter at April 4, 2006 9:47 PM

....errr, I guess that was "Scottish" ... but how was I to know ... oh, well.

It's really disturbing to consider the mentality of the public that elect (and re-elect!) irresponsible morons like Cynthia McKinney as our representatives. They no more represent my values and ideas than bin Laden does! May God help us and preserve us from such 'leadership'. I really hope that she gets true justice for resisting an officer who was performing his job properly. I have a pretty good idea of what would happen to a white guy like me if I punched an officer! Can you spell JAIL?

Cynthia McKinney is just another left side democrat that blames there problems on racism and conspiracy, while failing to consider that socialistic ideals as well as incompetence and arrogance has NO place in government………….Just ask France.

A simple apology for brutish behavior would have ended it and preserved what little dignity this nut-case has left. The downside of Democracy is that we deserve the representatives we elect. The citizens of Georgia who voted to bring this lunatic back to Congress should be real proud. Imagine the response if some armed and dangerous individual had gotten by the Capital Policeman and assaulted our beloved Congresswoman in her office. What would good old Harry and Danny have said at THAT press conference. I pray to God that the assault charges are rightfully leveled against her.
