San Francisco Calls for Overturning 2004 Election

Could you imagine if San Francisco had a say over national politics? Remember, this is the picturesque but thoroughly deranged town that draws in derelicts with generous cash handouts and passed a measure banning military recruiters from public high schools — the town represented by city supervisor Gerardo Sandoval, who recently proclaimed that the USA does not need a military.

San Francisco does have its share of leverage in Washington — after all, SF's Nancy "Stretch" Pelosi is House Minority Leader. But what if it could directly impose its demented will on the rest of the country?

Thankfully it can't, but that doesn't mean it can't try. The city's supervisors have now passed a resolution calling for the impeachment of the duly elected President and Vice President of the United States, on the grounds that the supervisors disagree with their policies.

Even Mayor Gavin Newsom regarded the supervisors' latest indulgence in self-parody with derision.

"It's probably going to shatter the status quo in this country when it passes,'' Newsom sniggered. "I imagine, immediately, Congress will probably convene into session and begin impeachment proceedings.''

But he didn't say he wouldn't sign the legislation. Senator Dianne Feinstein, who once held his current job, was noncommittal too. It was left to Nancy Pelosi to remind her colleagues how grownups behave:

Win the election. Then you can change the policy of our country.

Only in San Francisco could Nancy Pelosi serve as the voice of reason.

By the same token, there's really no necessity to lock and load if we come bearing fire....

I don't think Miz Pickles will find it comfortable in a dressing room with no walls and the floors in embers.

In Palm Beach County there are claiming that there were problems with the "new" electronic voting machines during the 2004 election. It seems in the heavy democrat county that is run by democrats, with a democrat Supervisor of Elections are upset with the machines they rushed out and purchased (with tax-payer money) after all the problems they had in the year 2000.

Look, let's keep it simple. I don't expect those who oppose critical thought and who are anti-intellectual to be able to comprehend multifaceted concepts.

Bottom line. If you wish for your vote to have a chance to be counted, go with a paper ballot. It has absolutely no chance wherever Diebold Republican voting machines are used.

This is the only way to restore democracy to this once-proud land and rid ourselves of the corporatist filth that pretends to be in charge.

Do Democrats ever really LOSE elections, or are they ALL stolen? LOL!

Without paper trails, we'll never really know, will we?

C'mon, fascists, 'fess up.

You know the drill.
