La Times Not Leftist Enough for Babs

As if things weren't bad enough for the troubled Los Angeles Times, they have now incurred the wrath of Her Highness, Queen of Moonbats, Barbra "Babs" Streisand, who is so enraged that they would temper the foaming-at-the-mouth leftist tone of their editorial page by dumping Robert Scheer and adding Jonah Goldberg that she is canceling her subscription (H/T: LGF).

To give an idea of why Scheer's departure is so disturbing to Her Highness, here are a few highlights from his resume, via Discover the Networks:

Another highlight of Scheer's career was publicly applauding sociopathic Black Panther thug Eldridge Cleaver's declared intention to kill people for being Caucasian, with the exclamation, "Right on, Eldridge!"

FrontPage Magazine's John Perazzo describes Scheer as a "Gucci Marxist" with a "penchant for extravagant hyperbole in the service of misrepresentation of the facts."

Jonah Goldberg, on the other hand, is a highly recommended writer, whose excellent and entertaining work can be found on National Review Online. Absurdly (but typically) Babs sited "diversity" in her explanation of why a conservative like Goldberg cannot be tolerated on La Times' editorial page. He seems to be dealing with her disapproval fairly well, to judge from his column today:

Short of convincing Alec Baldwin to actually make good on his promise to flee the country, vexing the Dashboard Saint of Hollywood Liberalism is about as good as it gets.

Remember the fake Shakespeare/Caesar quote she tried to fob off on us during the last election?

Sounds like she gets the same pathetic hoser to draft her letters:

"an aptly designated epithet"

"views that stretch them beyond their own paradigms"

"the gamut of voices has undeniably been diluted"

Whatever else this tripe may be, it's not English prose.

Wow, if you crop her hands out of that pix, it looks like Bubba is lunching on her head, leaving only the wailing, grimacing face (which he wasn't gonna touch, anyway, since he never kisses them on the lips).

It looks more like he's going for her neck. I always thought the democrats were bloodsuckers. Now we have proof!

Babs said in her letter: "The greater Southern California community is one that not only proudly embraces its diversity, but demands it." Streisand is a twat.

Goldberg was right in his assessment of what "diversity" means to the left. The Hispanic population [in Southern California] now represents the largest ethnic group (40.57%), a sharp increase from 33% only a few years ago, followed by White (38.85%), Asian (10.19%) and African American (7.30%). That's diversity? By this reasoning, when the Hispanic population reaches 60%, or even 70%, will it be more diverse? To these moonbats, we won't have real diversity until the white population is the minority. If the Hispanic or black population were more "right-thinking" they'd be raging against such diversity.
