Don't Keep Hollywood Waiting, Hanoi John

When I saw this on Brainster's Blog, I almost gave up:

But if we work together, we can still make it happen. We can convince John Kerry to overcome his modesty and sign the Standard Form 180, releasing his military records to public scrutiny.

Once the story of his wartime exploits has become public knowledge, we won't have long to wait for the movie version. I'm hoping Vin Diesel will take the part of the heroic young Kerry, charging ferociously into combat, contemptuous of death.

Here's Kerry's email. Just tell him that he can find the Standard Form 180 here:

Before you know it, white-knuckle entertainment will be on its way.

Unfortunately, if Kerry doesn't release his records, Hollywood might have to go forward without them, basing the movie on the eyewitness testimony of the men who served with him in Vietnam. But how much fun would it be to sit through a movie about a guy who spent four months whining and gaming the system for medals he hadn't earned until the Navy got fed up and sent him home to his mom?
