Moonbat Tech: The Uglymobile
Posted by Dave Blount at July 11, 2011 7:49 AM
The spiritual ugliness known as moonbattery can be expressed most anywhere — even in automotive design:
MONOFORM addresses the automotive industry's lack of cultural relevance. It stands as a point of view towards progressive mobility experiences that connect with the emerging philosophies of the 21st century and speaks directly to those who feel alienated by the conservative symbolism applied in modern automotive design.
Still or in motion, this vehicle acts as a point of interaction between people and their environment through broken reflections of the urban landscapes [yadda yadda yadda…]
In other words, the car is deliberately designed to be hideous as an expression of liberal ideology.

Expect them to start rolling off the assembly lines at Government Motors within the next few years, union work hours permitting.
On a tip from Air2air.

It looks like some kind of moble dumpster which is where these eco-wackos get most of their wacko ideas from while smoking wacky weed from their hookas

WTF is that thing? That POS isn't even a car at all. It looks like a cross between a golf cart and a Xerox machine.

If it the guy can market it and sell it. good for him.

All I need is that balloon suit and I'll be living in the movie "Sleeper"!

It's all a ruse. The communists don't want any individual transportation. They want you in compact 'livable' cities (Section 8 housing) riding trains. Much easier to control the herd in a corral than the open road.
Don't fall for it.

I predict yet another moonbat flop. That thing's tiny wheels give it no clearance, making it liable to get stuck on sudden changes in elevation (can it even clear a speed bump?) and its complete lack of aerodynamic construction will give it horrific gas mileage at any speed above a leisurely stroll, or if facing a strong headwind. The tiny wheels come back to bite it again here, as the small differential between the axle and the edge of the tire results in much higher RPM required to reach the same speed as a typical car. This, again, results in a drastic loss in fuel efficiency as speed increases due to the engine having to cycle more rapidly, as well as increased wear on engine parts. Of course, it probably has a pathetically tiny engine that gives it the top speed of a golf cart anyway, though interestingly that would mean it's not street-legal. In addition, rear-wheel steering would result in drastically different handling, making the car difficult and frustrating to drive, if it even works at all. I honestly expect it would be far too easy to tip that thing over.
Not to mention it's ugly as sin. I like how the comments on that site all realize how horrible it is though. ;)

Looks like an oversize tilted (to the left of course) photo copier on wheels.

It is as ugly and misshapen as my soul. I must have it.

Not very aerodynamic, but at 17mph I guess you don't have that worry.

"This MA degree project..."
All that really needs to be said, really.
The rest comes from the Arty Bollocks Generator:

What the fuck is that thing? That car is a travesty in American engineering. Still that tranny DarkEricDrivel and communist queer Grunter would love to drive it.

Dumpster ?
They better move it before someone throws their trash in it

The left's doctrine of mediocrity on wheels.
Posted by: Seamus at July 11, 2011 9:46 AM
Every day now, we see more evidence that a second American revolution is not only needed, but desperately needed if we hope to save our country, our society, and our way of life, from the radical leftist social engineers.
Years ago we were "the silent majority". That silence has caused a great deal of damage to our country, our freedom, and our liberties. If a people is not willing to fight for their freedom and liberty, they deserve neither.

This "car" is such an appropriate design for the oligarchical collectivists. Art imitating life again.

A self propelled dumpster..?? Cool. You can just drive it right to the dump when it's full. If you build it mostly out of recycled pop cans you can run it right back through the recycle program.
Posted by: chuck in st paul at July 11, 2011 12:06 PM
Good point, Chuck. This thing takes the Left's love of dumpster diving to a whole new level!

This Moonbat Eco vehicle/home of the future, will be your sole source of transportation your home complete with no amenities. And when you shake your Marxist bonds of servitude to the state, to be one with Gaia. It will be your coffin that will be crushed and recycled.

Which should work out fine, considering the average life span under Marxism

".......MONOFORM addresses the automotive industry’s lack of cultural relevance."
Automobiles are not "culturally relevant?"
Who knew?
Posted by: TonyD95B at July 11, 2011 4:43 PM
Is this the Obama version of Nazi Germany's Volkswagen? If so, B.H.O. is as much a failure designing cars, as he is as President.
Posted by: SNuss at July 11, 2011 5:51 PM
It should read "Monoform expresses the liberal left's cultural irrelevance."
What "conservative symbolism" are they claiming is "applied in modern automotive design"?
It's moonbat art, not a moonbat entry into the auto market. It's (as others seem to note) a reflection of the way moonbats see the world and, for that matter, themselves.

Posted by: FreedomFox at July 11, 2011 8:34 AM- "That thing's tiny wheels give it no clearance, making it liable to get stuck on sudden changes in elevation (can it even clear a speed bump?)"
LOL. Speed bump? What makes you think that the People's Socialist Republic of Obamastan will have need for speed bumps?
Posted by: FreedomFox at July 11, 2011 8:34 AM- "and its complete lack of aerodynamic construction will give it horrific gas mileage at any speed above a leisurely stroll"
Haha. Gas? As in gasoline? That's a good one. Let me chortle once more at your quaint, clinger notions of tomororrow's Soviet America. Haha.
Posted by: FreedomFox at July 11, 2011 8:34 AM- "The tiny wheels come back to bite it again here, as the small differential between the axle and the edge of the tire results in much higher RPM required to reach the same speed as a typical car."
But, this is going to be your typical car. So, your point about results is void.
Posted by: FreedomFox at July 11, 2011 8:34 AM- "This, again, results in a drastic loss in fuel efficiency as speed increases due to the engine having to cycle more rapidly, as well as increased wear on engine parts."
Well, yes. It will break down. How is that a problem?
Posted by: FreedomFox at July 11, 2011 8:34 AM- "Of course, it probably has a pathetically tiny engine that gives it the top speed of a golf cart anyway"
LOL. You wish. Golf cart pace won't be needed in tomorrow's world of Social Justice.
Posted by: FreedomFox at July 11, 2011 8:34 AM- "though interestingly that would mean it's not street-legal."
I will tell you what's legal. And it won't be those bourgeois horseless carriages the reactionary class now so shamelessly flaunt.
Posted by: FreedomFox at July 11, 2011 8:34 AM- "In addition, rear-wheel steering would result in drastically different handling, making the car difficult and frustrating to drive, if it even works at all. Yes, it boasts excellent features. I give the Barrymobile two thumbs up.
