San Francisco Moves Toward Ban on Owning Goldfish

After they wash away all resistance in a tide of political correctness, will there be any limit to the petty tyranny liberals will impose? For the answer, we can turn to San Francisco, which is run entirely by moonbats. Since everything else that isn't mandatory is forbidden in the town that gave us Nancy Pelosi, bureaucrats are going after goldfish:
The San Francisco Animal Control and Welfare Commission wants to take away your goldfish, proposing a bill that would also include a renewed ban on pets like puppies, kittens and hamsters.
The proposed ban is meant to discourage "impulse buys" of pets that sometimes end up at shelters, said commission member Philip Gerrie.
If they would forbidden owning a goldfish because it may end up at a goldfish shelter, imagine the boundless tyranny progs will be wringing out of ObamaCare in the years to come.
Of course, liberal autocrats only grind our faces in their senseless rules because they are so nice. Gerrie
said goldfish, guppies and other tropical fish were added to the proposed ban because of what he called the "inhumane suffering of fish" …
As for people who would argue that it's just a goldfish? "That's how we are in this society," Gerrie said. "Some people say, 'It's just a human' — when it comes to some that kill. It's a matter of degree. Where do you stop?"
After all, there is no fundamental difference between a goldfish and a human being. Just ask PETA's Ingrid "a rat is a pig is a dog is a boy" Newkirk.
Eating fish is still legal in San Franfreakshow, but probably won't be for long. However, if homosexuals are able to derive sensual gratification by inserting wriggling fish up each other's behinds, expect that practice not only to be protected, but celebrated in public schools.
