Maybe it's because they can relate to players like Ron Artest — excuse me, I meant Metta World Peace:
Los Angeles Lakers and former Sacramento Kings forward Ron Artest wants to change his name to Metta World Peace. … In the court documents, Artest cites personal reasons for wanting to make the change.
When Phoenix Suns übermoonbat Steve Nash hears about this, he's sure to change his name to Mega P. C. Climate Warrior.
Artest will need new jerseys.
