Wyatt, too many people depend on the MSM for their information. What the MSM passes off to the people is tainted with bias, omissions and outright lies. There are many examples to support this. So, it's certainly possible to get those numbers when they only know what they are told. There is a difference between ignorant and stupid. Ignorance can be fixed.

I don't understand how otherwise intelligent people can be fooled. Reality contradicts what they're being spoon-fed, yet they don't acknowledge that.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) approved 25 fire
management assistance grants in April, specifically designed to support
firefighting efforts. They cover 75 percent of the state's emergency
response work for each fire, according to FEMA spokeswoman Rachel
Racusen who objected to Perry's claims of neglect in a statement
Wednesday.

"This administration, through FEMA, has been working closely with the
state throughout the duration of these fires, and we are supporting the
firefighting efforts," she said."

Twenty five grants approve beginning in April, doing 75% of the firefighting for the people of Texas while their governor uses them to make political hay by claiming the federal government, who are doing three times as much for Texans as he is, is ignoring them. The disaster declaration was denied because by the time Perry got around to asking the federal government had already been there for weeks, actually putting the fires out.

I haven't heard Eric Cantor threaten to deny funding for this one though, or demand that the costs be offset by slitting some poor person's throat as he is with the Joplin disaster. I wonder why that is?
