Weiner Wants a Waiver

Posted by Dave Blount at March 25, 2011 8:20 AM

It isn't easy to be conspicuously obnoxious in New York, yet Rep. Anthony Weiner manages. It's harder still to be prominently hypocritical among Democrats. Weiner comes through again — by calling for an ObamaCare waiver for NYC after lobbying hard to shove this misbegotten power grab down the throat of the rest of the country.

Rep. Anthony Weiner said Wednesday he was looking into how a health law waiver might work for New York City.
Weiner, who is likely to run for mayor of New York, said that because of the city's special health care infrastructure, his office was looking into alternatives that might make more sense. Weiner is one of the health care law's biggest supporters; during the debate leading up to reform, he was one of the last holdouts in Congress for the public option. … Weiner is slated to hold at least five events on the anniversary of the Affordable Care Act [the Newspeak euphemism for ObamaCare] and has been one of the most outspoken Democratic supporters of the law.

Next comes Weenie's most impressive feat of all: overtaking Bloomberg and possibly even David Dinkins to become the worst mayor moonbattery has ever inflicted on New York.

Weenie lets fly with his twin guns: hypocrisy and obnoxiousness.
