Olbermann Hits Rock Bottom at Current TV
Posted by Dave Blount at February 8, 2011 10:06 AM
Remember when the disgraced Dan Rather, having been caught trying to throw the 2004 election to Hanoi John Kerry with crudely forged documents, was reduced to crawling into an obscure pit called HDNet? Other than his remark about Obama not being able to sell watermelons, we haven't heard much from him since. Keith Olbermann, face of the Angry Left, has submitted to a still more undignified fate. Having been canned from MSNBC, he will soon spew his spittle on the unwatched adolescent farce known as Current TV:
Keith Olbermann, the former MSNBC anchor, will host a prime time program for Current TV, the low-rated cable channel co-founded by Al Gore. The one-hour program will begin sometime in the spring. …
The channel may be betting on Mr. Olbermann to put it on the cable map. The low-rated five-year-old channel needs the help. Targeting young people, it originally subsisted on YouTube-style submissions and video journalists. More recently it started producing and acquiring traditional television series, like repeats of "This American Life." …
Current TV is available in only about 60 million homes, and is usually provided only on the digital tier of cable television systems, which requires a separate receiver.
Look at the bright side, Queef: from here there's nowhere to go but up.

Sorry Keith. No interest among the grownups.
On tips from AC, BURNING HOT, Roy, and Jeremy.
