Obama's Organizing for America Behind Wisconsin Chaos
Posted by Dave Blount at February 18, 2011 8:14 AM
You would never guess who is behind the communist-style shenanigans in Wisconsin:
The Democratic National Committee's Organizing for America arm — the remnant of the 2008 Obama campaign— is playing an active role in organizing protests against Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker's attempt to strip most public employees of collective bargaining rights.
OfA, as the campaign group is known […has been] riding to the aide of the public sector unions… OfA's engagement with the fight — and Obama's own clear stance against Walker — mean that he's remaining loyal to key Democratic Party allies…
OfA Wisconsin's field efforts include filling buses and building turnout for the rallies this week in Madison, organizing 15 rapid response phone banks urging supporters to call their state legislators, and working on planning and producing rallies, a Democratic Party official in Washington said.
In the clear choice between pathologically greedy teachers unions on one side, and the children who are going untaught and their bled-dry taxpaying parents on the other, where did you expect Comrade Obama to come down? In addition to whatever backroom machinations are taking place, the Manchurian Moonbat publicly splashed gasoline on the flames by denouncing Governor Walker's acknowledgment of fiscal reality as "an assault on unions." Elect a man whose only real political experience is as a "community organizer" (i.e., Marxist rabble-rouser), and you would be a fool to expect anything else.
Fortunately, thanks to the 2010 elections, part of the government is willing to side with the public against the slow-motion socialist putsch we've been witnessing:
House Speaker John Boehner sharply criticized President Obama on Thursday for "unleashing" Organizing for America in Wisconsin to pressure Gov. Scott Walker to abandon anti-union legislation.
"I'm disappointed that instead of providing similar leadership from the White House, the president has chosen to attack leaders such as Gov. Walker, who are listening to the people and confronting problems that have been neglected for years at the expense of jobs and economic growth," Boehner said in a statement. "I urge the president to order the DNC to suspend these tactics."
Citing news reports Boehner said OfA is spreading "disinformation and confusion in Wisconsin," prompting thousands of public employees to picket.
Boehner said GOP governors like Walker, Ohio's John Kasich and New Jersey's Chris Christie, each of whom have defied Obama on his infrastructure agenda, are "daring to speak the truth about the dire fiscal challenges" the country faces.
The Speaker is right to speak up. His own state Ohio is next in the Obamunist crosshairs.
